Hikaru, Fenleigh Hikaru woke to a warm breeze playing with his hair, and the warm heat of the sun on his back. He could've swore he'd heard something heavenly singing, but it had disappeared when he had opened his eyes.
He smiled, when he saw that Tenyou was there, love in his eyes, though he himself did not realize it...
"Is it morning already?" he asked in a teasing manner...

At hearing Fenleigh's voice, Tenyou opened his eyes and smiled at the firefly. It seems now that he was no longer sad, and that was what made him happy. Now maybe there wouldn't need to be any tears to shed. The firefly had already shed more than enough tears, had had more than enough sadness for his dreadfully short life.
Tenyou was then struck with a small and significant memory. There was a box in his room in which Mother had given him a thread. It was a very short thread, but it was beautiful. He remembered how she told him only he can make it longer. There was only one way, however, and he didn't remember it at all.

"Good morning," Tenyou greeted in return, smiling. "As for how I'm feeling, I think I'm feeling a little better. I don't know yet." He wasn't exactly sure if he would know anyway unless someone told him how he should be feeling. All he knew at the moment was that he was feeling pain that wasn't as strong as the pain from before, so maybe he was feeling at least a little better. There was a high possibility that he was.

Hikaru, Fenleigh Hikaru smiled, "Oh, well that's good," he said, meaning the part where he said he was feeling better.
"I can go call Bell, or a doctor to look you over if you need," he said, "Though you do look a little better... Are you hungry?" he asked...

Tenyou lifted an eyebrow, but merely smiled. "I might be," he said. "It's better to be safe than sorry." Hunger was rarely felt by angels, and on those occasions the High One was resting and the sky would be hidden by clouds. Because of this, it was easy for him to forget what anyone would mean when they ask if someone else is hungry.
Fenleigh's smile seemed to warm Tenyou's heart, something that no other smile could do. It somewhat struck his mind that he had seen such a smile before. He had remembered someone staring at the sky with such a smile, and perhaps the person had been Fenleigh. Tenyou remembered looking at the person each night before going to sleep and wondering what he could be staring at.

Hikaru, Fenleigh Hikaru grinned, "Well, it doesn't seem like we need to call anyone..." he said, "There's Bell," he said, seeing the familiar figure come towards them.
Bell smiled, "Hey, you two," she said, as a younger swan followed her -it was a grey one, one of the shyer outcasts.
"This is Anthony," she said, "One of my flock," she told them,"Say hello, Anthony," she said kindly to the boy.
"H-Hello..." he said shyly, almost hiding behind the tray of fruits, and bandages, as well as a few drinks.
He had short, greyish-silver hair, and blue-grey eyes. His wings were folded in, so they couldn't see it.
"Here, I'm sure you're hungry," she said, looking pointedly at Tenyou to the confusion of the others -but she was trying to get him to know that feeling hungry at times was normal.
"But here, drink your medicine first," she said, handing him the bitter brew, "You can save the fruit to wash out the taste later," she told him.
"Also, I need to check your wounds -no, Fenleigh, stay here," she told the firefly as he was getting up to go, and immediately sat back down.
"Anthony, sit here, please," she said, making hims sit between her and Fenleigh, so that the firefly could eat as well.
"Now turn around so I can take alook at your wounds," she ordered Tenyou...
someone was feeling bossy today...

Tenyou, when Bell-san commanded him to, drank the medicine. It tasted terrible and he would have spit it out if he could, but he just forced himself to swallow it. Even after it went down his throat, the taste was still on his tongue. Is this how medicine always tasted? If so, then Earth creatures are amazing for getting used to the stuff.
When Bell-san told him to turn, Tenyou did so, but his mind was still very focused on trying to get rid of the taste in his mouth. He didn't bother to try to eat any fruit, fearing that it may just make things worse. Sweetness and bitterness don't mix at all, so they might taste even worse than bitterness if put together.

Hikaru, Fenleigh Hikaru stifled a giggled, "Heehee~!" he grinned, eyes dancing, "Tastes bad doesn't it?" he said, smiling at him, as Bell rewrapped the wounds, and cleaned them, too, while Anthony kept the tray level.
He peeled an orange, and gave some to Tenyou, "Here, I find that Oranges get rid of the taste pretty well," he said.
The citric acid in oranges, and the bitter base from the medicine would semi-cancell each other out, so only the taste of orange -with only slight medical taste until it was all rid of- was left.
Something he had learned from Bell, of course -she could be quite a tyrant in the medical department...

Tenyou accepted the orange and ate it, almost overcome by the sudden sweetness. The terrible taste was gone now, at least, and that was what he was thankful for. If he had had to deal with that taste a little longer, well, he didn't know what he would have done. Maybe he might have attempted to drink the lake water.
After finishing the orange, Tenyou suddenly heard an unfamiliar growl. It seemed as if it came from his stomach, since that was where the vibrations came from. He blushed, not knowing what it was. He had heard the noise before, but he didn't know what it was for. Is this normal among the Earth people? He didn't know. It couldn't possibly have to do with hunger, since the High One was still in the sky.

Hikaru, Fenleigh "Heehee~!" he grinned, "You are hungry!" he said, handing the rest of the orange over, as he peeled an apple, anthony balancing the tray, as he also peeled and orange -for the skin, to add to a paste he was making...
Bell, on the other hand, as still working on the wounds...

Tenyou blushed a little, almost afraid that whatever happened to his stomach was the cause of a creature that had invaded him. To be sure, however, he had to ask Bell-san. "Y-you mean the sound came from me?" he asked quite nervously. "I... I've never really felt this kind of thing before."
So this was how people can tell if others were hungry? It seemed like a bit of a rude sound. Did anyone know how to make it quiet down? Or perhaps the volume depends on the severity of the hunger... He didn't know, because he wasn't an Earth creature. He was a Star Angel that only felt hunger when the High One's light is covered up, and he didn't remember how long it had been since he was last hungry.

Hikaru, Fenleigh "Heehee~!" Hikaru giggled, "Don't worry, it'll go away once you've eaten," he said, smiling.
Even Bell and quiet, reserved Anthony found this amusing.
"Here, have and apple," he said, grinning as he finished peeling the fruit, and handed the slices over on a plate, smiling widely.
Bell finished rewrapping the bandages, "Ah, done here, toss me an apple, will ya?" she asked, grinning, as she caught the fruit.
"Mmn, it's been a while since I had these," she said a bit sheepishly, grinning, as she crunched into the deliciously sweet fruit...
The fruit in the area always seemed to be quite sweet...

Gratefully, Tenyou took some of the apple slices and munched on them. Like the orange, it was very sweet, but it was a lower level kind of sweet. Nonetheless, the slices were still sweet... strangely more so than the sky fruits. He had never tried any of the Earth fruit before, and now that he had, he felt as if he was at home. Everything about the Earth made him feel as if he belonged here. Unfortunately, he didn't belong here. He was supposed to be in the sky, watching the Earth with longing eyes as he always had, but because of that gunshot, he was stuck here.
It wasn't like it was a bad thing. Actually, he really enjoyed the time on Earth despite the pain he had to endure. That just brought a bit of excitement to his life. In fact, he didn't want to leave this planet at all. He wanted to live here forever, but what if it was too much to ask for? Maybe he can at least ask for Fenleigh to be turned into a Star Angel, so they wouldn't have to be separated. Tenyou had already promised that he wouldn't leave the firefly, so the least he could do was let him become an angel and live in the sky with him.
