Anything from Alto 2 or 3 to Saprano 1. I like Alto better, but my conductor and friends say I sound better in the Saprano, but still, I'll never quit Alto. That's one of the nice things about being in one choir for 8 years (Since I was 6, next year will be #9 ^^), you pretty much get to pick your parts. The conductor trusts you enough.

I guess I usully sing Soprano...unless it's barbershop where I usually sing Baritone...but that was only becaue we lacked anyone else who could do it at the time, and then I came to really love the part!

Hi there! My name is bobby and I am going to be a high school junior (11th grade | Go Class of '08!!!!!) and i sing tenor 1.

I like it because i have always wanted to be back singing tenor 1 since 6th.

look:

6th = T1
7th = T2
8th = T2-B1
9th = B1
10th = T2 (summer camps = T1)
11th = T1

i find that interesting......

In musicals I sing tenor parts because I belt well. In choir I sing base/baritone because I can sing powerfully down low, but still blend in.

I am a bass/baritone. I can not hit the Tenor notes at all... I have trouble hitting notes past middle C. However, I can go to two octaves below middle C, so that's pretty good, although not very practical. I am trying to get my higher range, but it is proving difficult, as my break is right at middle D-F.

P.S. Oh, yes. my falsetto range is not very extensive, although i can hit a high E on a good day. So all in all, about three and a half octaves all together.

since 5th grade, I have been a saprano, then last year I was put into alto because my choir teach thought I could do it, I did, but was moved back to saprano this year because, as he said it, I had "problems"

Hello all! I just joined, so I thought I'd stop by and say hi. I'm a mezzo soprano, but prefer to sing alto (and did in my college choir).

Hey all!

I'm Kristen. I'm a high school senior (Class of '07 all the way!!!), and I don't think I've been singing as long as most on this board (3 years in choir). I'm a definite Soprano I - right now, my range is three octaves, two of which are above middle C. I could probably sing Alto II if I had to, but I'm a little more comfortable high.

It's cool to see so many guys here - there are two in my school choir, so willing bass/bari and tenor voices are hard to come by.

I have to say that Bass 1/Baritone is one of the best sections. Period.

My favorite quote proves this point: "All the girls swoon when the Tenors sing, but they go home with the Basses." lol xd

Um... I sing bass1 and 2, depending on the song. To be quite honest Im right smack dab in the middle of Bass1 and Tenor 2. The song book for honor choir has A and E flat. Which sucks because I need a G flat lol. One of the harder keys to lay on an instrument lol.

I'm Tenor 1 in choir and Bass 2 in our school musical.

But then again, the bass part in our musical is so high, that you could consider it tenor.... ninja

I'm normally an Alto 1. I'm not sure what's wrong with my choir teacher this year as on three quarters of the songs, I'm second soprano (we do SSATB). And the altos get all the pretty low notes.

I think I'm Soprano 2 because none of our soprano's really are that bright...

I know what that's like, sorta
7th-bII
8th-bII
9th-BI
10th-BI
11th-BI/TII
My voice teacher says that if I practice I can become a ful tenor, which is awesome, because colleges are always looking for real tenors....
