While Melethia was enjoying herself, there were arguements, dancing, mentions of hats, and a good friend of her entering the place. The scent entered her nose. She knew who it was, it was Renault. She knew what he was going to be doing. He was going to spend his time with Isadora. That's fine with her. She was going to spend her time with a certain red haired lord.

"Hey Roy," She said. She didn't want to call him Spitfire for this bit. As much as she loved calling him that, she was sure this wasn't the best time to call him that. For she was being a little serious. "May I have the pleasure of having a dance with you?"

I'm betting my happiness life on this one

Joshua said a quick thank you to Roy as his hat landed on the bar table beside him, thankfully the bond of darkness released him before his drink came and first wiping away the blood on his lip with the back of his hand, he plunked his hat down on his head.

Sitting down comfortably on a stool he reflected on what had just happened, now that he had time to think and didn't have the person he hated most in the world waving an axe around in his general direction, Joshua regretted the fight.

It was a party, people where supposed to have fun not watch an old grievance be settled... next time he'd take it out side to avoid ruining everyone’s night.

But Caellach was alive... something that shouldn't have been, Joshua had fought the man one-on-one and had thought he had given the Hero a mortal wound and had so left him bleeding horribly on the ground.... like Joshua had found his mother.

He needed to stop thinking about this or he was going to go after Caellach... Roy obviously wasn't in the mood to talk to him...

"Feh tonight it looks like I drink alone" And drink is what Joshua planned to do.... once his drink got to him.

C’est la vie,

User ImageTibarn blinked as Arashe rapidly approached and switched his bourbon to his left hand so he could firmly grasp the sniper's with his right. "Good to see you, Arashe. Yes, Lyre, her sister Lethe, and I all fought in the Goddess' War back on Tellius. Seems like ages ago now." He laughed softly, then paused. "I, ah... well, that's sort of my business, isn't it? I don't wanna say it here, rather not be bothered at work." Eager for a reason to change the topic, he looked around. "You know, Vah should be on her way in shortly, Ayra was going to send her out to find me once she got dressed.

"Daddy!" A little blonde girl bobbed through the crowd wearing a lovely pale blue cheongsam that fell to her shins. It was embroidered with beautiful silver ivy climbing up the sides and blooming in flowers on the front. She pattered to her father, adjusting the bandana her father had given her that she wore around her hair. She loved it so. <3 And she hugged Lyre's leg! "And Aunty Lyre! Hiiii!" She giggled softly and stepped back, then bowed to Arashe. Curtsies are for sissies.

"There's daddy's girl," Tibarn laughed, reaching down to pick up his daughter and swinging her around once. "You ready for the dance I promised you?"

Ganon stretched slowly as he made his way out of the guest room, down the hall into the main room. He looked rather dashing in his finest clothes, white shirt and pants with a long brown cloak that added to his slightly piratical look. Around his stomach he wore a bright green sash, and he carried in his claws what appeared to be a tiny guitar. As he looked around at the ball, he couldn't help clucking his tongue. "People chatting in corners and stupid fights breaking out? And they call this a party?" He rolled his eye. "This is like Tuesday nights at the Hostess Club." Now determined to have some fun before his hibernation, he glanced at the band and stomped over to them.

"Okay," he said, pointing to a bassist, a guitarist, a violinist, and a percussionist, "You're all with me, the rest of you shut the hell up." He plucked a couple of strings on his mandolin, then simply began, "One, two, three, four, one, two, three!" And thus he began The Fox.

(( Anyone can bug Amara at this point; just be prepared for that kissing question if you choose to interact with her. Unless she thinks you're too young to know, which really only applies to Vah. xD ))

Amara pouted, giving Sephas' arm a few quick tugs before finally letting go. "Whaaaaaaat?! You two are so boring! I'm going to ask someone else!" And, with that being declared, she stormed off to somewhere else, presumably to bother some other party-goers with her curiosity.

Akihi sighed to himself, rubbing the back of his neck. "... Sorry about that... She had asked that question about twenty or so times before you came along..." He looked apologetically at Sephas. "But, now that that's done and over with... how have you been? Gotten anywhere with that magic of yours...?" There was a spark of energy in Akihi's eyes as he mentioned the magic; the anima mage wanted to learn more and more, and Sephas used a type of magic Akihi had never even thought of before. It was just simply astounding!

Sue and Valter were luckily away from any of the action that was happening. While parties were meant to be lively, a brawl was not the kind of lively that she wanted to see in a Host Club event. She heard the music suddenly pick up, and realized that Ganon was in his own way, crashing the Host Club party and making the Hostess Club take over. Whether or not he did this for the fun of it, or he was just doing this out of spite, she couldn't tell, but she almost liked the music the bard was playing more than the slow dancing kind.

In the midst of more people joining the dance floor, Sue noticed that Amara wasn't near to Akihi as she should be. Maybe she would keep the little girl out of trouble? She was a little angel, true enough, but that wasn't true about the people gathering at the drinking table that FD so graciously set up. Signaling the Wyvern Knight to follow her, the nomad approached the daughter of Alihi.

"Amara, are you all by yourself?" Sue asked curiously, getting down on the little girl's level. "You don't have anyone to dance with either, do you? Maybe we can find someone..." the green-haired nomad was unaware of the question about kissing that would come next.

"Where're we indeed?" Leon chuckled, before he led Charice onto the dance floor, at first following the slow waltz of the other dancers. Although he wasn't a perfect dancer, he wasn't particularly 'bad' either. He'd taken lessons from... Large of all people, and it was extremely awkward that one time Clang just happened to walk in on the very wrong moment. Needless to say, the poor Lieutenant had been the butt of many jokes for at least two weeks at the Watch House.

But that was in the past, and this was now. The slight humiliation had paid off, for dancing was one thing that ladies really enjoyed. When he was back in his homeland, he hated the lessons, and hardly attended them, which was why he had the kind of awkward tutoring he was getting from Large in the first place.

When the music picked up courtesy of Ganon, the movements of the crowd in general got faster. Leon seemed to naturally adapt to it, and in one move he spun Charice out (carefully) and brought her back in. When they came back together, there seemed to be a closeness that he hadn't realized was there before. "Havin' fun so far, Charice? Kinda wish this happened more of'en, ya know?"

It was good that he didn't notice the the brawl that was breaking out, or his joy might have all gone to waste.

Victoria spotted Arashe, talking with Lyre and Lethe upon his entrance. Had he not noticed her, because she was having such a good time drinking her martini down with the dragon clan that was at the table? Well, she'd sure fix that right now. Behind her, as she walked forward, there was a slight... altercation. Much to her surprise, a Druid had put a stop to it, and one of the fighters was now drowning his sorrows.

"Well, I'll be... that little boy used his magic for good after all. Maybe those Dark Users aren't lost causes whom become Evil Overlords."

She wanted to commend Rei, but decided against it, because reaching Arashe and giving the nobleman a greeting was a bit more important to her than praising a Dark User for doing what was his job in the first place. When she at last caught up with the rather dashing Arashe, she gave him a (light) punch in the shoulder. "Hey, Sharpshooter." Victoria said, smirking. The fact that she wore her usual pink lipstick made it a little more... devilish. "I thought it was improper to walk right by a lady without saying 'hello'? Just because I was enjoying a drink didn't mean I couldn't see you... why... I think you too should take a little drink yourself!"

Morgan had just entered the castle, so he had no idea of any of the happenings previous to his arrival. All he knew was there was a holiday party sometime soon. He briefly admired the lovely decorations and wondered if they needed any help setting up. However, it appeared the Host Club were handling everything just fine on their own, so he took a seat at a nearby bar next to a redheaded man. Morgan had no intention of ordering a drink, for he hadn't much gold leftover for drinks and to be honest was not very good at holding his liquor, but bars made for casual conversation which was what he needed to take his mind off the disturbing reoccuring dream he had been having since Halloween.

"Umm, hello," he said awkwardly. Why had he ever thought casual conversation was a good idea? "How are you this evening, sir?"

"Huh?" Joshua turned as he realized someone was talking to him, "Oh, Err its been interesting to say the least..." Well it wasn't a gorgeous woman that had come up to him.... but this would do to take his mind off of Caellach.

"I don't think I recognize you... Hey barkeep... make it two of whatever you were going to get me!" He told FD as he turned back to Morgan.

"I'm Joshua... and err... now that we know each other you wanna make a bet? Loser buys the next round of drinks?" Nothing could prevent Joshua from being turned off of gambling for more than five minutes.

Renault led the paladin out to the dance floor, and swept her into the song, moving along gracefully to the music. Had he moved this fluidly before? It didn't seem so... but clearly, he knew what he was doing. The movement was fast, but not so fast that the partners had to spread away from each other; quite appropriate, he thought. He smiled at the woman, placing a hand on her hip to move along in time with her as well. This dress looked quite nice on her; a shame she was a paladin and not a swordsmistress. On her, that garb would look... well, quite attractive to say the least.

But people moved in, and Renault moved away, bringing Isadora to a less crowded area of the floor. There, they could move slower, and Renault had a chance to get closer to her. Quite a bit closer; he curled his arm about her waist, pulling her to him with a smile. And now, a coincidence of fate? Above hung a leftover Christmas decoration, a sprig of mistletoe. There were likely a few floating around; but this one had caught the Saint's eye. "Ah... it seems we've strolled under something," he murmured, glancing upwards. "Well, it is the custom.... there's no reason not to observe it." So he leaned forward, lips meeting Isadora's in a soft kiss.

John had finished his one mug and placed it on the table and placed enough for the drink right beside it. "Well that's enough for me tonight." he said quietly to himself as rose from the table and walked amongst the crowd. Then a small child had bumped into his side from John's neglect of looking down. (Yes it's a short joke sue me) "Oh, hello little Amara. What are you doing roaming around by yourself?" he asked wondering what would happen if Amara was caught alone again.

Really skimpy underpants? Rhys' face fell a bit. Wait a minute... is she serious? I-I can't go around in something like that! To be fair, it wasn't THAT far below tiny miniskirts, but he'd--augh, what had he gotten himself in to?

But Rhys nodded and agreed with the terms. "Yeah, I agree. No need for anyone else to find out..." He'd make sure to stress in no uncertain terms that if anyone revealed the wager, Rei would do to them what he did to the other guy back there. Or, in the event it WAS Rei, well, someone would.

"End of the month. Got i--" but she was already gone.

He frowned, mulling over particularly the terms. It all depended on who got the most customers, and, well. He hadn't heard of the Hostess Club doing anything BIG, on the one hand... but that was just it. They didn't NEED to do anything big. They did things regularly, a word very foreign to Host Club members.

Perhaps worse yet (not that it was WORSE worse, but it didn't work in their favor) was that he, Amelia, FD, and Nils were all married, or at least engaged. Rei and Sue were the only single members compared to... he didn't know of any such couples in the Hostess Club that he'd heard of. Ganon and another Hostess, yes, but that was it.

"...Daddy, I think I got cider in my ear."

--------

Joshua and Morgan, it seemed, were completely unable to drink alone, as suggested by Ghis and Javert nearby. Both Watchmen looked rather plastered--several whiskey shot glasses lay empty in front of Ghis, and although a red stain on Javert's front suggested he'd missed one of his wine glasses (who knew he was a wine man?), the lack of weight that Ghis possessed suggested he was just as drunk.

The pair had an arm around each other's back, half-singing and half-spilling their latest drinks. No, they had no clue whether the words were what Ganon's tune accompanied, but they went with it anyway:
"Stick wi' me baby ah'm de fellow ye came in with... luck be a lady t'nIIIIIIght~!"

--------

For her part, Charice wasn't able to think of any references that could apply to her situation, let alone ones from the same thing. He may have been "into short stuff" for a while, but it's paid off, she decided, coming back from the spin into his arms. Strong ones, his arms. He could hold a woman close with those arms, no problem. But there was a sort of tenderness in his lead which lended something more abstract to the intimacy than just their bodies pressed up against one another.

"Yeah. So far, I've had a good time. How about you, Leon?" She asked as the tempo increased, the couple spinning around faster.

--------

Jin joined Ghis and Javert on the end because he liked the song, but was much more on-key. Plus he wasn't that bad on the singing.

Forgotten Morph

PostPosted: Sun Jan 03, 2010 12:06 pm

Kishuna waited through the brunt of Ephraim's anger; the young prince didn't seem to be quite used to the idea of having a boyfriend yet. Honestly, Kishuna didn't blame him, but he needed to stop being so oversensitive and realize that their relationship wasn't any stranger than anyone else's here. Then the prince was burying his face in the morph's shoulder, and Kishuna held him close, stroking his back comfortingly. "Now, let me explain something, all right?" he asked the young man. "A kiss isn't a big deal. We have one married couple of males; that half-dragon kid and the dragonkin. And her.... uncle, right? He looks the part as well." Of course, Kishuna'd had experience, so he was able to tell, if not at a glance, at least quickly which way a person swung.

"So you shouldn't be embarrassed by a kiss. I'm sure the kid's seen kissing before, it's just between different people this time." Kishuna smiled down at the prince, bringing a hand up to run through his hair. "Besides, you can't complain. You know I love you~" He grinned infectiously at the young man, then pulled him out on the dance floor, not letting Ephraim out of his arms. "And now, we can join everyone else." Most of the guild seemed to be migrating onto the floor, so what could Ephraim complain about?

The music that Ganon played was quite tempo to the party they were in, but quite enjoyable to listen. She wondered how did people danced to these types of music in a formal party (maybe they should use this song for square dance... Whatever that dance was). But nonetheless, she was having a fun time dancing with Renault.

When she looked at the Saint, she noticed that he was in his own robe. Was Renault doing some sort of research that made him late for the party? She was unsure what Renault did for the past two months, but she was also occupying herself with her own work too. Figuring out the Mordachean motive was a hard task to accomplish.

As people moved in to dance, Isadora was being led to a less crowded aread by Renault. It seemed that he didn't want to be bothered with many people around. Not that the paladin had a problem with that. They continued to dance, but in a slower pace. It was nice change of pace. It settled nicely with the environment and the setting of the party.

As she danced, she noticed Renault moving closer to her and pulling her toward him. A light blush appeared on her cheeks as she looked up to see Renault smiled. She could also feel her heart beating fast again.

"Renault..." Isadora spoke softly. She was unsure of what to say. Was it a coincidence or a second chance from St. Elimine for her to have something she never get before? Just then, she heard Renault said something about strolling under something.

Curious, Isadora looked up to see what it was. There, hanging above their heads was a mistletoe. Isadora blinked at the mistletoe before realization hit her. Her cheeks suddenly glowed a little shade of dark pink. Her heart beat a little faster too.

"Renault, I-" Isadora tried to speak, but was cut when a pair of lips fell onto hers. She stiffened a bit in surprise when Renault kissed her. It surprised her for a moment. But then, the kiss had suddenly became a bliss as she relaxed her body and wrapped her arms around the Saint's neck. Well, the Saint was right about one thing. It was tradition to kiss someone when being under the mistletoe. However, she couldn't help that there was more to it than the tradition behind the mistletoe.

Ephraim felt really stupid now about that sudden out burst. But Kishuna was right, what was there to be embarrassed about in the first place? He knew about the married couple..didn't know the two but he'd heard rumors fly that they were married. He didn't move or say anything for a moment, feeling stupid about everything for just a moment.

He felt even more stupid when Kishuna said he loved him once more. His heart raced just hearing those words and he felt like sinking into a corner some where. "It..Its not that I have a problem..with kissing.." Ephraim muttered, his head still buried in the morph's shoulder. "I'm just not used to it...happening to me I mean..You must understand I was raised to think only a male and female can be together.." He managed a hand to rub his eyes and continued, feeling the need that Kishuna needed to know why he acted the way he dd just now. "I'm sorry"

Kishuna seemed to have gotten all that down, but he paid no mind to it at all. Instead, the prince was pulled to the dance floor and this time, Ephraim didn't fidget or pull away at all. "Yes..I-I suppose.."

Lyre nodded her head stiffly.
"You're right, I shouldn't have asked that..." Lethe whispered something in her ear about going to eat, and had slipped off before Lyre could say anything in return. That was... strange... The reasoning hit her quite literally in the leg, with an enthusiastic greeting that made her giggle.

"Good evening, Vah," she watched as Tibarn swept up his daughter and waved to them both as they made their way to the center of the dance floor. Of course Lethe would have felt awkward- Lyre hadn't thought anything of it, she'd spent so long in Learania already, but familial attachment to a branded child and casual conversation with the King of Phoenicis would be unheard of to her stricter sister. She smoothed her dress and let her hands rest one over the other on her waist, giving a polite nod to Arashe. He was the only male host of the Hostess Club that she worked at- ...another thing she did that her sister just didn't understand. It made Lyre think that maybe she should quit- was she insulting her heritage by acting so much like a Beorc?

"Hello, Arashe..." her greeting was quite subdued, as she let her attention drift across the room to her sibling. Maybe she should get rid of some of her frivolous clothes and belongings, go back to training a bit and stop acting so... so, un-Laguz. She couldn't help but think of how ashamed his majesty Skrimir would be at both she and her sister being at a party like this, but King Cainhegis always did say he would like a barrier between Laguz and Beorc to be taken less seriously... she shook her head a bit, biting her tongue as Arashe was assaulted by a blonde woman.
