"An hour. After I came out of four hours of reverie, you were still asleep. I waited to see when you would wake for two hours and when you didn't I decided we needed to keep moving. You are welcome to part ways with me if the arrangement displeases you." Though she did reach back and pull a rope, showing him the piece that would loose his bonds so he could sit up. "A number of reasons. Food, water, travel ease. But toward the mouth of the river where it comes down from the mountains is a cave I must see, hidden among tall bamboo."

A noise from the wolf under them and she laughed lightly, petting at the beasts shoulder. "She's glad that you are someone who cares enough to make amends to everyone rather than just those he thinks smart. Or so she says."

He was strapping the saddle on his horse, and checking the bags for the needed supplies. Things would be getting underway soon enough. once he was satisfied that his mount was in good condition to manage himself and another, he left their stables with a few kind words to the staff and moved himself to where he'd been informed D'ia was staying, and knocked on the door lightly.

Okay, so by the sounds of things she did wait for five hours, he just didn't wake up. "Well I'm a "heavy sleeper" as some people would say. I can get up on my own, but there will be times where I would need some help waking up. Still I see you did what you could so that's fine by me." So when he felt that he could move somewhat Randall sat up and looked around him, at least they weren't around anyone who would want to stab him. "All good reasons." As long as they could be safe, he was fine with everything. Though he had to raise an eyebrow as Key "translated" what the giant wolf "said". "Well she had to deal with me on her back without much say in the matter, she deserves something for it." Petting the wolf lightly as they kept on going, it was weird seeing the world go by from the back of a wolf.

"I'm resourceful." That was all she had to say to his sleeping habits. She merely would take things into her own hands when needed and leave it all alone other times. "It is more of a hassle because you do not ride as needed for her to move as freely as she wished." Which got a pat to the rather decorative saddle that Key was perched in. It was a simple wooden make, padded and strapped as if it were for a horse. Save the high back for assuming the rider's comfort, and then there were the stirrups. Or rather lack there of. Instead were two flat wooden outshoots, which were supporting the elf's ankles as if she was sitting in a kneel. All just apperances as she was firmly seated as needed. But the positioning of said legs eased the wolf's movements...whild Randalls still dangling legs meant that his boots knocked against the wolf's back legs with each stride it took.

"If she does not want you to ride her, you will know it." That was how it worked but she kept her attention forward, equally alert as the creature they rode. A slight pause seemingly to check around before they emerged from the tall grasses and were met with a downward slope of hill that lead down to the more flat land and the river that was now in sight. "I assume you can get home from the river?"

"If I had a ride then I wouldn't mind following you instead of restricting your wolf like this. But since it would not of been easy to hide a horse in the forest, I didn't take one." Though as look as the giant wolf could still move then all was well. But Randall did try to keep his feet from knocking against the leg, though keeping his legs straight for a period of time did get annoying so he allowed his legs to go limp.

"Good to know." Last thing Randall would want was to try to get on the wolf and she would snap at him or something. Still as they went along he kept his eyes about, checking the long grass as they went through it, they didn't know what dangers could still be around them even though they were out of the forest. Soon enough they arrived at the river and Randall sighed a little when the wolf walked up to the bank. "I think so, I haven't been in this area but since it is my peoples land, once I reach a village I can make my way from there." He then looked down at the ropes and began to pick at them, he had enough riding on a big wolf for one day.

She easily dismounted, even from perhaps the odd riding position she held, and patted the wolf's shoulder at the creature was more interested in the river itself, drinking and snapping at a fish or two. Meanwhile Key moved along the creature to where Randall was, quickly undoing the knots that he was picking at. "There is one that is not to far from here directly east of the opposite bank. I have been there a time or two, they are friendly."

Waiting for Randall to get down she gave another pet to the wolf who immediately waded into the water, trying to catch the large swimming fish that were hidden beneath it's surface. Quickly enough she came back, presenting the fish to the elf who took it with a smile by the tail and held it out for Randall. "For you to take on your trip so you don't get hungry." She could at least send him off with food. Then she'd gather her own supplied and start the hike up to the top of the waterfall that was up river.

Randall was thinking over a few things that have been pinging around in his head as he was picking at the knots, that's why Key had to undo them for him instead of just quickly pulling them a part and slipping off. Though he looked to the Key as she mentioned of a village close by and he blinked. "Oh, well thanks." It was more of a surprise that she went beyond to boarders that separated the two people to visit this village she spoke of, but she must of had a good reason.

So quietly he slipped off the wolf, settling his bag onto his person as he looked around, the weather was good so he knew if he took his time he could make by nightfall. Still there was another option, but he didn't think of it as the wolf came back with a fish in her mouth. Then Randall suddenly had a fish in his hands as Key decided it was time to part. He looked down at the fish then to her and smiled back. "Thanks." As the pair walked away though he suddenly remembered something. "Hey, wait!" He then took off into a small jog as he held onto the fish. When he caught up he smiled a little as he looked around for a tree or two. "I still need to get your friend that squirrel don't I?" He said as he took the now dead fish and began to wrap it up so he didn't have to carry it in his hands all day.

"Fair travels, Randall." A nod to him and then a motion to the wolf, "Come my friend, we have things to do." Thusly turning from him she started off down the bank on foot. That is until her ears twitched at his sounds and she stopped to wait for him to catch up. Did he forget something?

At his words, Rycek quite clearly looked to Key, tilted her head, whined and softly wagged her tail. It was as close as the creature could get to making true puppy eyes at the elf. The action though seemed to work as Keyloriah sighed and pet her muzzle, much to the wolf's delight. "Alright. We will stay until he gets you a squirrel. Meanwhile we will refresh our own supplies." A slight smile to the human. "Good luck catching one."

Randall looked to Rycek as she looked to her master with such a cute expression he knew that she was trying to get Key to agree with what he said. And it looked like it worked as the elf decided that they could stay for awhile. "Good." He blinked at her smile and her little good luck, that did not sound well. "Uh, thanks." So he took off his bag and then went off toward some trees, taking out a dagger as he began to stalk around looking for furry little creatures.

As Randall made his easy to the tree he spotted a squirrel idly standing by eating a nut. He smiled a little as he slowly began to make his way closer and closer, but when he saw the little thing move he stopped in mid step, it seemed to be looking at him. A moment passes and then in a blink of an eye Randall leaps, but the squirrel moves along like he was a snail. So he falls into the dirt, making a small noise as he lands hard on the ground. "Oh what did I get myself into...?" Quietly he stood up, brushed himself off and went off again stalking the bush, it was going to take awhile.

Yeah he was going to need luck. Squirrels were tricky creatures. Well...she had some time to kill then. Thusly she took to taking off Rycek's tack before she started stripping off her own clothes as well. It was bad enough she felt grimey and needed to wash it all off of herself but Rycek was pretty gritty as well. Besides, might as well take a bath while they were busy catching fish and kill two birds with one stone, as the humans often liked to say. Plenty of time before he came wandering back. She'd probably already be ready to leave by the time he got back. That is if he didn't get lost first and require intervention.

Randall was getting annoyed, the squirrels were being too squirrelly and kept on avoiding him. Still he kept it up but was always falling back into the dirt, and he swore he thought he could hear them laughing at him. Soon enough he manage to keep up with one, and by creating a bit of fire ahead of it, he managed to stop it in its tracks which allowed him to fling his dagger at it, killing it instantly.

Once he made sure that the squirrel was dead instead of suffering, Randall took the little thing and went back to where he left Key and her wolf. When he realized they were around he went searching for them, and came across the two in the river, as Key was taking a bath. Randall suddenly found himself blushing as he saw the bare back of Key. "Uh...I got the squirrel."

"Come on, Orresith. You promised!" Shae threw the pillow at his face and crossed her arms. "You told me two weeks ago that we'd go to the waterfall and now you're backing down on your word." And that didn't make her happy and he knew she wasn't going to leave him alone until he came through for her. Besides, he'd been so broody lately, ignoring her and making it seem like he was involved in important things. As if anything important ever went on in their little village. Well except the Council of the Elders but Asanna was the one who handled all that. Orresith had just gotten an overblown sense of pride because he'd been right about the weapons. Never mind that she had found the priceless amulet.

She was finishing up scrubbing the dirt from the wolf' fur and when he came back they were both fishing. Rycek with her teeth and Key leaned over in the water, feeling with her hands. "Shh. Quiet." She warned him lightly with a look of concentration. And despite the rapidly wagging tail Rycek was stone still as well. A few moments passed before a smirk crossed her face and hauling a fish from the water with her hands, she threw it up on the bank and with that action, Randall found himself in the shadow of an eager wolf who had left the water now that quiet was not important. "Just throw it up toward her. She'll catch it."

"But I never specified when." She was being annoying again and it was really grating on his nerves today. Her and her weird almost obsession need with water. However he was not looking for a literal knock down drag out fight today either. "If I take you, will you leave me alone? I feel lazy today and you're not helping that feeling. At all."

Randall was silent as Key had told him to be, though he was mostly silent because of her being naked. He could see almost every part that wasn't covered by water or hair. He knew that the elves were more beautiful than human women, but he ever saw one bare until now. So when Key threw the fish she manage to catch with her bare hands, Randall allowed his eyes to follow the fish instead of staring at her. But that was when he noticed that there was a giant wolf beside him. "Oh, uh, okay." So he turned to Rycek and smiled a little before tossing the squirrel to her. "Enjoy." He then turned toward Key and gave a small nod, trying his best not to stare. "I'll uh, go wait up the hill." He then turned away and began to trek back through the grass to the place they stopped before.

While the squirrel was happily snapped up and swallowed, the wolf calm once more and stalking into the water to presumably continue helping with fishing, the elf merely blinked and raised an eyebrow at the retreating human. He was going to play lookout? Fine by her. "Don't make a target of yourself." Thusly continuing to fish with her own method. She'd finish fishing, get clean some more, and then while she prepared the fish she'd send Rycek off to hunt for something else too.
