A smile crossed Cyn’gus’ face as the young maiden’s visage warmed at the gift. He placed a gentle hand on her shoulder saying, ”Our goddess watches over us and protects us. She is a beacon of all that is good for all of us drow.” He nodded a bow, his eyes slightly closed before rising and turning to the camp’s other visitor.
”I’ve brought you a comfortable bedroll and some blankets” He said a moment later as he neared Roesor. He kneeled down and finished saying, ”I’ll set them here next to you”. He placed the items next to the girl, careful not to stare at her as he did, although he was aware she would not see it. He set his gaze again on her hands and wrists, studying the dirt and grime that was still present on her palms. The silver bracelets circling her wrists were interesting. He watched as she used them to sense the area around her. As he made his observations, he noticed that he young elf maiden was shivering. It prompted him to unfold the blanket he place near her, speaking as he did, ” I did notice a figure out there, in the area you pointed out that was not Annoi. He is watching us, not sure if he wants to come down and meet us or not. Be patient, I’m sure he’ll come down when he gets a whiff of my wife’s cooking” he finished with a slight laugh.

Alantha stands near the fire, looking at her necklace. Still smiling she closes her eyes for a moment. For a moment she felt at peace, out here she could start anew, maybe start another family. Her eyes open, no, she could never find anyone to replace her love, not yet. After a moment she lays out her bed and slowly, she sits down, staying near the fire.

Somewhat hesitantly the girl moved her arm out to the side where his voice was coming from. Letting her wrist fall, the cuff landed in a soft material. "Thanks," she muttered. The sound of material falling open caused the girl to reach out and grasp the... 'blanket.' It was soft and thick enough to be warm, something she was not very accustomed to. "That's brilliant... He watches us and I'm keeping an ear on him." A rough laugh escaped her lips before she continued. "Oh the joys of being blind...." The girl took the blanket and wrapped it around her shoulders, her hands playing with the cuffs as she began to warm.

All heads in the camp turned in the direction of the new visitor coming down from the forest. Cyn’gus rises from his seat near the fire and raises a hand in greeting.”Welcome friend, I’m glad you decided to join us… please have a seat. We will have a fresh pot of supper here shortly” He exchanges glances with his wife and smiles.
As the new visitor made his way to the main camp fire, Cyn’gus was busy tuning the pegs on an ornately decorated stringed instrument. Plucking and adjusting the pitch of the strings, he strummed them all together when they had all set.”You are also just in time for this evening’s entertainment. *begins to strum lightly* If anyone has a song or a tale they would like to tell, you are more than welcome to share first.”

Alantha blinks at him a bit, she didn't know much about music, nor had she heard it before. She wasn't to sure what a song was either, but she decides to just keep that to herself. After a moment though she does remember something. "I have a story...if you wish to hear it that is."

Annoi could not help but smile as she watched her husband interact with the girls. He was acting like a father. "What am I going to do with you, Cyn'gus," she whispered while pouring the vegetables into the pot of boiling water. Digging in the pack again, she withdrew a few strips of dried meat that were quickly cut up and added to the meal. She stirred the food before rising from the ground.
With a few swipes to her skirt, Annoi began to inspect the camp. It was small which would make it that much easier to heat, but it was also crowded. Cyn'gus, she could see, had already given out bedrolls and blankets, but the mother in Annoi could not let that be all. Going into the provisions tent, she brought out a few lengths of canvas and began making more slanted shelters around a few of the unattended fires. 'It would not do to leave these children sleeping in the wind and snow...' She returned to the pot and stirred it occasionally as she worked.
A new voice joined those in the camp causing Annoi to look up quickly. It had come from the same direction she had been in, but she knew that no one had been near her. She smiled, deciding that it did not matter and retrieved a new bedroll for the visitor along with a woolen blanket. Setting the items down near the fire, she returned to the pot. By the smells, it was almost ready to be eaten and everyone could do with a hot meal.
The Guitarra sounded. She knew the instrument well as it was the one her husband played at home. He spoke of entertainment and while Annoi did not mind the chance to hear her husband play, she was curious of the story the young elf Alantha offered to tell. "Go ahead, child," she said in a soft and cheerful tone. "As much as Cyn'gus loves to play, I am certain he wouldn't mind a story. Would you, che?"

Alantha smiles and bows her head. "Thank you, it was told by my husband, it has always been one of my favorites." She finds a log and slowly she sits down. At least she wasn't in much pain as before. "Lets see, this happened to him when he was a boy, he grew up in a different part of the UnderGaia...anyways he used to live by this large lake and one year for no reason it had frozen over, no one knew what happened." "So the ended up gathering all their mages to try and find a way to melt the ice, but none of their magic would work so they had to leave it as it was.." She looks down for a moment, trying to remember the rest. She quickly looks back up. "Oh..so a few days go by, the lake was still frozen, my husband was standing next to it when...when..." She slowly stops speaking, her eyes seem to dull a little as she sits there.

The girl who had been listening to the story with mild interest turned to face the teller. "When, what? What happened next?"

Alantha didn't hear anything, it was as if the whole world had gotten dark. She couldn't move as something starts to reach out to her. She screams and runs out of the camp.

"But of course, we would love to hear a story."The dark elf male said as he absently strummed the guitarra. "No campfire is complete without a good tale to listen to"He smiled back to Annoi and then looked in anticipation to the evening's first storyteller.
Cyn'gus listened as Alantha began to speak. He was imagining in his thoughts the exotic underlake that she described. Frozen? he thought to himself, and no magic was able to melt it. He began to muse over what something like that could be.
It was her mentioning a husband that brought him back to the present. He turned his attention back to Alantha, noticing that he had halted her story mid passage. Then, to his and everyone else’s surprise, she let out a terrifying cry and bolted out of sight of the camp.
Cyn'gus rose looking at everyone; Annoi and Silence, before taking chase. "Alantha! Wait!", he called after her as he ran.
