I believe you can only be an uchiha if you have the sharingan, in less your talking about a sharingan implant, which any kekkei genkei that involves optical powers can be transfered to another by medical ninja, of course the user will never be able to properly control the eye therefore they can never turn it off, this is why kakashi always wears his headband over his eye, if you cover the eye it will nullify the effect of the kekkei genkei until uncovered

Cobra_X little mintchan i have a question :/ | How can you have Sharingan and not be a Uchiha??? Are thy separate like clan and bloodline or one whole? |
...the deal is, if you aren't of the proper bloodline, you cannot deactivate the eye, which is why Kakashi and Danzo always keep their Sharingan eyes covered (so it doesn't end up constantly draining their chakra).
In the guild, if you kill an Uchiha who has unlocked their Sharingan, you can take one of their eyes preserve it, and a Jounin level Medical NIN can transplant the eye for you.no i mean can you be born with the sharingun and not be a uchiha?

However, it is worth noting that not all Uchiha end up manifesting their Sharingan either, which begs the question of whether ALL Uchiha are born with the ability to awaken the Sharingan, or if only some are.

Tis simple my lovable mint. You can have the blood of an Uchiha and be born into a different family after all a last name is only to classify you into neater sub groups.

but it would help to GIVE OTHER CLANS A CHANCE!!!!! since sharingun is so popular limit it! or make them pay gold for a sharingun!

Other clans will have to win the hearts and minds of the members on their own! (due to awesomness). I'm not about to start restricting people to playing only certain bloodlines. doing so would limit a person's creativity and would undoubtedly disappoint people who wouldn't be able to play the character they wanted to.

If a person picks Sharingan simply 'to be cool' or because it's popularized by certain characters within the show, then they'll just get their RPC killed off soo enough, because they won't use it effectively as they did not truly consider the pros and cons.

well then have all the sharingun users[not transplant people] to make a awesome roleplay sample that would excede semi-literacy to see which ones are truly loyal to have it and other not

well I do think that people that want a sharingan should have to provide an rp sample that's a little better than a bloodline or clan that gives a smaller advantage, I mean when it comes right down to it bloodlines like byakugan and sharingan do have better benefits than other bloodlines, so people should of course have to write an rp sample that is better than average
that's my opinion anyway

Lol, I think tis funny that you guys think I allow sub-standard or lacking RP Samples for ANY clan application.
...you is all funny. i never allow any bloodline ability unless I feel like that person has RPd in a way that proves they know how to properly use the bloodline in question.
