Kyo retold the entire tale of how the battle started up to the point where he met the Overseer. "I was fishing trash out of the ocean and got snagged on something big. I pulled hard but lost my balance and went under, getting tangled. You happened to be tending to some clams and came to my rescue. When I regained chnscienceness I fell in lo- I mean I decided to become your faithful servant." Kyo began to go on about how the war took place and the mission that you had to do.

(( Bapp meets Overseer, Overseer suspects Bapp for unknown reasons, tries to hit Bapp on the head with a rock, fails, follows Bapp to Barton, on the way there they almost miss the boat, Bapp throws Overseer onto the boat (yes, throws), Overseer is now super afraid of Bapp, escapes, Bapp continues on his walk to Barton, Overseer is on beach and is acted by rabid homo fanboy posing as servant))

(( Today is the day for the Overservice, but I'm too busy getting ready to go to write anything so long and important... so... )) Be good... After the incident with the seagulls, it was almost good to be back at the front of a familiar assemblage. The call and response patterns, by now so very familiar, reminded her of the coming and going of the waves. She had, at first, felt embarassed leading the congregation in prayers she'd written herself, but by now it felt natural, if not soothing. The Priestess had them all memorised, even ones she'd composed the day before, and was able to chant them with her eyes closed, just enjoying the sound of voices echoing off the Temple walls. She could almost go to sleep...
The majority of the century-strong congregation were not so lucky, and instead read them off handwritten sheets - handwritten by Lorika. Why the other discipline heads seemed to think she spent her days doing nothing, she'd never know.
"The Will of the Clam is with us,"
From now until forever.
"The Grace of His Clam provides for us,"
From now until forever.
"The Heart of the Clam enfolds us,"
As goodness shall enfold all Gaia.
She opened her eyes about halfway through, and happened to catch the entrance of two latecomers - the Captain and Coline. A little spark of interest flashed through her mind, that those two should be in each other's company yet again. It may, however, have been coincidence, for Coline immediately went and knelt reverentially, bowing her head, while the Captain stood in his customary position at the wall nearest to the entrance, arms folded. To be honest, she preferred it when he didn't attend prayers, which was more usual. Instead, she had to contend with his solemn presence. A dark, ghostly shade, almost blending in with the darkness of the room except for the sudden shock of bright, white hair, and the single eye which glowed red: natural darkvision piercing the room as easily as if it were lit. She met his eye for a second in the pause between prayers, and quickly dropped her gaze. She scanned the crowd for a few moments, noting more comforting familiar faces - Imaru, Bakar, Evelyn (who appeared the most excited person in the room), Angelique. As the prayer started up again, she smiled, closing her eyes again and nodding a little in time with the beat of the prayers.
After the prayers, she spoke a little to the Acolytes who had something to say, before heading downstairs to her room. She felt she had a little inspiration for the next Overservice. ...and you will be lonesome.

Harata had wandered, well snuck, back onto the boat. After talking to the feline, something had been bugging her. She needed to get back to Durem. But, she needed to go to Barton first. Priorities.

Evelyn attending the Overservice, as always. She never missed one, being much too excited to even think of missing one of Lorika's prayers. When it was over, she sadly walked out on to the beach. Upon seeing some people a little farther off, she decided there would be a good place to read one of the books she had borrowed from Professor Panda. She pulled a blanket out of her bag and laid it down on the sand before plopping onto it herself.
She sighed, turning a page in the book, hoping that someone would come along eventually--perhaps Bakar--and sit with her. She so hated being alone. But at least she had the book to keep her company. She sighed again at the cloudiness around her. "Light..." she whispered, making the word itself almost shine. A sphere of light grew from her fingertips, glowing brightly. She smiled at it, tickling it as though it could feel before continuing reading.

Picking herself up, she marched over to the Captain to thank him and bade him farewell, saying she had somewhere to go to but will head back to the Training Grounds immediately once she's finished her business. Formalities abound, of course. She felt it only proper to inform him seeing as he was kind enough to walk her to the Temple; it would be rude of her if she left without as much as a word.
And with that the young recruit stepped out, looked about with wary eyes, and headed for an unfamiliar direction.
