MistyRose With everyone ready to go, they headed towards the temple. Misty turned to her right and leaned over to Angel. "Angel are you ok, you've been really quiet since you found out that Austin been missing?" she asked. "I'm okay....I'm just sorry...I thought that having friends would change him...I stood up for him, and trusted him...I guess I was wrong....and I have endangered our entire misssion", I said softly so only Misty could hear. I hung my head, maybe I just wasn't meant to be part of this mission, I thought sadly, I have too big a heart... especially for people....but no matter how I try I could never change that, becuase it's who I am. And if Austin succeeds in getting the rod before we do...and takes it back to his master...the world is doomed, and it'll have been my fault...

*after finishing off the temple guards (the outside guards with a sword and the one inside with a gun)* "I can see the staff..." Austin said outloud, "I hope the others stay away from me... I don't want to hurt Angel... but I know I already have." *reaches for the staff* "huh?" (he hears the crew coming) *pulls out sword* "Stay back! I will do what I need to do to see my sister again, even if it ends my only friendships..."

Finally they reached the temple. Dominique after seeing the first dead monk ran ahead of the others to the room in the temple where the rod was being kept. It wasn't hard to find all she had to do was follow the trail of fallen Monks. What does he think he's doing!" Dominique thought angrily to herself. She ran into the room to find Austin with his sword raised. Dominique's eyes flashed angrily. "How could you?!" she yelled. "I knew we shouldn't have trusted you..." Dominique ranted near tears. "How could you so idly kill those guards and betray us?... We trusted you Austin." She thought on what he had said before when she had just entered. Oh Austin you should know that no matter what you do they won't let you see your sister again... she thought to herself.

I ran into the chamber and stood next to Dominique. I saw Austin ahead with his sword in one hand, and my eyes opened wide before closing them and onening them once more. It took all I had not to cry. "Please Austin....please stop this," I cried. "We are your friends...we will help you find your sister".I stepped closer to him until I stood in front of him and held out my hand. I smiled softly at him, "Come on...let us help you...let me help you", I said.

Dominique fingered her holster nervously as Angel approached him. She had slipped it on before they had left and it was slung towards the back and covered slightly by the layers of her dress to be more discrete. She wrapped her hand around her gun. If he didn't try anything she wouldn't use it but if he tried to do anything to Angel she'd shoot him.

Standing there in shock of what was going on, Misty couldn't believe that Angel would just go and stand in front of Austin when he had a sword in hand, "Angel be careful!" was all I could mustered out.

"Betray you?" Austin said stepping away from Angel. "How can I betray you? I work alone...to get my sister back." Austin said teary eyed. " You guys were the closest thing I could call a family, but its over now... I'm sorry I have to do this...but my sister is more important." Austin said while pulling two swords from his sides. *he placed the handles together to make one double sided sword* "Are you ready?" Austin said waiting for them to move first.

I didn't move for a moment....I prayed silently Lord give me strength...I walked back to him and grabbed his wrist, "Austin...please this isn't what you want to do, we will help you get your sister back....I will help you get your sister back...so please don't do anything you will regret later. I understand that family is important", I said letting go of his wrist and stepping back a tad. I smiled again, "Look," I said and pointed to the rest of the group, "Do you see them? They are dedicated just like I am to a mission right now, and you know that mission, without us having to tell you...becuase you were sent as a spy to destroy us..... we can do another mission...one to save your sister. But right now you need to be saved, and this is perhaps one of your last chances...don't throw it away," I said as a tear rolled down my face. "I will not let you take the rod....Austin....my friend," I said making the hardest the decision in my life I pulled out my weapon and pressed a button and it became a sword, I then waited for him to anwser...

Austin said while tears were flying down his face. *pulls out his other sword and places them together to make the double blade* *twirls it around fast infront of him* "You can't stop me from my mission...even if it means losing you..."

I cried hearing this, ".....Very well, and your right you sister can't be brought back with our help, not even those items will restore her to the way she was", I said sadly holding my sword up. "And if you do restore her...is it what she will have wanted?....Or are you being a bit selfish and only thinking of yourself? You were my friend too...."I said looking down as tears came from my eyes even though I tried not to. ".....I will miss you too...for an eternity, I just wish I couldv'e changed your mind", I said and suddenly a thought came through my mind. "Austin my friends have guns and worse you will be gone before you lay a stroke on me," I said and dropped my sword and it reverted back to its original shape. I fell to my knees, and lowered my head. "...Please don't do this", I said crying and started to shake, I was not scared of dying for I knew where I would be but I was scared for Austin and where he would be...

"Hmph... Is that really the best you can do?" Austin said while laughing. "I know who you are you can't fool me, I know your the Demon of the sword." Austin said. " You were one of the ones who trained me... I would know why you were amillion miles away... you also forget I became the Demon of the Shadows after I compleated my training, I specialized in stealth and mastered the arts of the shadows." Shadow said. " I will destroy you and anyone who gets in my way." Shadow screamed while pulling out his double sided blade. " "YOU CAN NOT STOP ME, THAT ROD IS MINE!!!" ( This was the battle of the Demon of the Sword and the Demon of the Shadows...)
