Rex looked at the palm of his hand, then back up at Birvan, smiling sheepishly. "Sorry," he said, waving said hand and patting the basketball on his lap with the other.
"Travel 'round countries looking for baby mishaps? How do you know when one is born?" Boy, his questions were endless.

By now Rex was gazing at Birvan with admiration. "Awesome." Gryff could do that too, and tons of other awesome magic stuff.
Speaking of which, Rex perked up and King bristled behind him. "Oooh. Can you do magic, Birvan sir? I'm learning, and if you do, maybe you can teach me some?"

"The last time I tried to use magic I ended up getting half my hair burned and thrown into a completely different world" he laughted
"But I later found how to control it properly" he took a couple of gems from one of the pockets "Don't know why but it always works better when using a cristal as a conductor"
"But what would you like to see?"

Oh okay. So that's how his hair ended in such a peculiar, though stylish fashion. Rex leaned forward, studying the gems, before looking at Birvan.
"Uh... Earth and Time magic? Those're my allignments." He nodded.

"Not mine, sorry. I'm better with Water and Air, althouhg I can perform some from Mind and Light as well"
He took a minute to think on what to perform, until he noticed some dead leaves that escaped from being burried by the snow
Throwing a snoball into the air and focusing on the gems, the leaves flew in the air like daggers and sliced the snowball into pieces

Rex's face fell when Birvan said the two elements were not his. It did not take long for that to be erased from his face, however, and as soon as the man performed the magic, Rex's eyes widened in awe.
Awesome! He could not help but clap for Birvan.
"Neat!"

"Since you liked that one so much here's another"
He grabed an odd looking feather from the coat. It was very long and straight but looked old ald dry, like the bird who produced it must had droped it a long time ago
He got up and moved behind Rex, careful not to get too close to King. He wasn't very tall, maybe a little bit more that 5 feet and a half, but was rather thin and lanky, which made him seem taller
"Don't move"
With a swift movement he placed the feather right between King's small arms and 2 large spectral wings sprouted from them

Rex blinked at the old feather - sure it looked ancient, but there was a beauty to it. The boy's mind strayed to imagining what the bird that dropped the feather might have looked like, when there came a command from Birvan to not move.
Which the boy obeyed without question, and froze right on the spot. What's he doing, King?
Occupied with watching Birvan, it took the tyrannosaur a few seconds before replying, I don't know. He's taking the feather and... hey!
King jumped as the pair of wings seemed to have erupted from his chest, causing his twin to turn around.
Rex had wanted to ask what was the matter, but the words never left his mouth. Instead, the kid was left wide-eyed and speechless as he caught sight of the surreal wings. He reached out a hand to touch them and...

He gave another clear laugh at the surprised reaction of the twins
"It's alright, you can touch them. But they won't last very long, the feaher was too old"

"Aw." Rex looked up at Birvan and nodded, gulping once before stroking 'his' wing. The boy gasped as he made contact, after which a smile slowly made its way across his face.
"Soft!" Rex muttered, and, upon seeing King sniffing at one, warned him against chewing it off. Don't even think of it.
The overgrown reptile had no intention on chewing it. Instead, King blew on wing he had his attention on, and nuzzled against it. Mmm, it felt good indeed, and there came another rumbling sound from him, this time heavily tinged with happiness.

He watched each of them exploring this temporary new feature with a fond smile on his face
"Why don't you try them on, while the spell still lasts? It would be a shame to lose such an oportunity"

"Yes, but not too high or too fast. That would worn out the spell faster"
