"I don't mind," she mumbled softly. It might be safer that way, she thought. She felt uneasy, seeing that brief glimpse of Ruin on the beach, even if she did think it was only her imagination, and Rosel wasn't very inclined to go near her since the last time. She could also feel some gut-stabbing, forboding feeling coming from the lightning lady, but didn't understand why, entirely.
She finally let go of his sleeve, having not realized she had been clutching it the entire time. Up the stairs she went and into one of the rooms, sitting before the full length mirror which was placed decoratively on the wall. She pulled her long, starlight colored hair over her shoulders and began to brush her fingers through it, looking into the mirror, deep in thought.
She was alarmed at herself, in truth, at how easy she had become attached to them, even if it was just a little bit so far. They were the ones to attack her village, and her, and she was positive they just wanted to use her, and yet...she found herself enjoying her time with them, and laughing at their quirky behavior. She didn't want to do evil things or be a bad person, not at all, and even though that's what they wanted...
She sighed, leaning her forehead against the silver glass.

Rosel wrinkled her nose as she watched Haveni disappear up the stairs. Her gaze went back to Noctis without turning her head, looking at him through the pattern of her veil. "If you want to proposition women, go to a bar, cretin." She turned her head to look at him fully. "Class may be too much to ask for, but manners shouldn't be out of even your reach."
Leaving it at that, she quickly followed Haveni's path up the stairs, dress twisting back and forth about her legs. Really, what was the idiot thinking, upsetting Haveni. After all the work they were doing to find Ruin, his antics were going to drive her off into the night.
Opening the door, she startled herself, seeing Haveni there, in such close quarters. Alone. It was like they were back in that village, Rosel looking into those pale eyes asking for power. Getting a taste of hell instead. Closing her eyes and looking away, Rosel cleared her throat. "You shouldn't let him treat you that way, he'll never learn otherwise." The sentiment felt odd in her mouth, like a lie, even though she spoke her own thoughts from a moment ago. Still, her eyes remained trained on the window, looking out onto the rapidly darkening skyline.

Even if Haveni hadn't meant it in the way that Noctis preferred she would, he was still amazed at the words that came out of her mouth. It was a shame he couldnt take up her offer.
Damnit.
She left before he could formulate a reply, leaving Rosel to criticize him. Sheesh. Did he have bad manners? Hell, he didnt even know he had any. His fist clenched, refusing to reveal any hint that her words really, really annoyed him. He had class. He prided himself on his finesse. Class for a playboy. COME ON. And.. cretin? Way to insult. Well, if she wasn't such a crazy lady, she might actually get some attention. He should go to a bar, damnit.
He stood there, reluctant to follow after Rosel into the hallway to their rooms. He seemed to ponder his thoughts before asking the question.
"Yo Seir. On a scale of one to ten, one being the highest, what's my rate of being an idiot today?" He asked, expecting a degrading answer of some sort. Considering how Haveni had left those words and then suddenly exited.. and Rosel lecturing him.. His awesome meter wasn't the highest it could be today.

She gave a little start as she heard Rosel's voice, peering at her from the side, between cascades of her hair that shielded her face. She straightened herself from the mirror, an embarrassed laugh babbling from her lips.
"Did he treat me bad?" she kept her gaze on her from her place on the floor,a thoughtful yet observatory expression on her face. "I know how he is, after all." her eyes lowered a little to the floor, yet a small smile still remained on her face. Her expression otherwise was not happy, nor was it resentful or sad. "I'm used to it after so long, but I don't want to be like...one of those scarlet women, a one-night fancy." she laughed at herself using such words.
"So..." she craned her neck a little, staring at the ceiling, thinking of what to say. It wasn't often the two girls were alone, even through out such times. "You and Seir, right?" Haveni formed a little heart with both of her hands and fingers, a small smile playing on her face.

Watching Haveni in the peripheral vision of her unveiled eye, Rosel remained motionless, the space between them like a chasm. Her lip quirked at Haveni's choice of words, however. Scarlet women, that's a new one. Yet, the phrase seemed to hold too much class for a particular woman it might have been applied to, and Rosel's gaze remained on the window, as though she might have appeared at any moment, purple feathers flying.
Haveni's implication immediately drove the thought from her mind and Rosel turned to her, alarmed. "What?!" Composing herself, she closed her eyes briefly. "No such connection exists. We are allies only." She knew the words were sharp, but she placed the dissolution of such an idea high. It was an uncomfortable thought, having such familiarity with Seir, even at the level Haveni herself displayed. But now here she was, in a different situation, stuck inside that same familiarity herself, tentative as it was. "I have not found..." Confessions of inner feelings were a staple of such conversations, some intimate addition to the knowledge of another. Or so she had heard. "I have not found a need for such...personal connections. With others." Swallowing, she looked at Haveni with a slightly turned head. "You seem to attract such connections, however. We've come across quite a few who wish to speak with you."

"Yo Seir. On a scale of one to ten, one being the highest, what's my rate of being an idiot today?"
Seir tugged his cloak loose from his neck and let the black, glowing blue fabric drop to his proclaimed bed. The thing seemed to flicker temperamentally before laying still. His eyes slid towards Noctis, brow arching with mute curiosity. “I was not aware I was supposed to keep track of your daily stupidity,” he murmured without a beat. Tilting his head a fraction, the constellation’s mouth curved into a subtly arrogant smile as a custom for him.
“One of your current faults is that you are getting too attached to Haveni,” Seir continued. “Like she with us, you two wear your little hearts on your sleeves. You should know very well what we have her for is to find Ruin for our own nefarious deeds. She doesn’t seem to know that she is a beacon for trouble.”
Giving a short nod to Rylia, the winged male followed the group back to the inn. He watched their antics with a neutral expression, rather bemused that despite they were all (with the exception of Haveni) pretty evil--- they were quite non-threatening looking when they weren’t wreaking havoc.
… Who was he kidding?
“I must agree with Seir in that aspect,” Aeos murmured softly, coolly. “But, I do not consider you too much more of an idiot as you are every other day. Since we altogether don’t take your words very seriously, you are quite successfully comedic.” He tugged his hood down and perched on a chair.

Azhure took the parchment and pen with a big grin. Now to write the letter and hope that Cempa somehow found it.
Dearest Sis, I am on my way to the inn with a coupla nice beings I met. I'll prob'ly only stay there for dinner. I owe them f'r the kindness they showed me today. I'll definately be back here though. Hope ta see you soon. If you don't feel like waiting or I don't see you before I return, use the other piece a parchment to let me know where to find ya. Azzy
After leaving the note and extra parchment at the base of the pillar which had first drawn her attention, Azhure turned back to 'Mine.
"Ok. I guess I'm ready to go." She quickly made her way to his side and lifted her arms, hoping that he would lift her onto his shoulders again.

MP MESSAGE: Night is drawing in....The streets become deluged with a calm light from the windows it pours out of. As the streets quiet, a figure enters the town, a dark hood held over it's face. It is difficult to tell if iti s male or female, young or old. The moment it arrives, it disappears from view, only..speculating.

Seir really knew how to pierce a guy in the heart. Nice comment though. Typical of Seir yet the words were surprising. He realized Seir's words were true, his gut turning in an uncomfortable manner. Of course, Haveni was only a tool in their future destruction. She knew it. They all knew it. They hadn't taken Haveni in for charitable purposes after all. When was the last time he had this feeling..? He didn't know when.
His expression skeptical at Seir's next words, he put a hand over his mouth as if to cover up laughter. "Me.. getting attached? Pfft-- as if--Haveni?" It was as if a realization hit him suddenly. He was about to counter reply, realizing he was getting attached. Oh s**t. His hand sank slowly back to his side, as if in somewhat of a shock, eyes closing briefly.
Aeos's next words did little to help him either. "I'm comedic? Dude, I was aiming for cool." He walked over to the bed, sank onto the bed, face flat, a moan of frustration hung in the air. These two had helped. A little. But they seemed to hinder more than helped. Was he really getting attached? He didn't get attached to a woman. He got attached to women.
"Why can't you guys be regular guys I can talk to? No offense, all I'm stuck with is one twisted guy with a man-eating cape and the other un-talkative guy who makes popsicles with one touch. Not to mention, your words break my heart." The bed creaked under his weight. "You hear that? It's the sound of my heart dropping from your 'nice' words. Ka-poosh." He said in a mockingly sad tone, rolling over to face the ceiling. Were any of them considered normal?
Arggghhh.

Sankke moved, small, impish and near invisible in the dark. Her bare feet balanced precariously on the balcony's railing, just beside Rosel as the Twilif followed her line of sight. Granted, she couldn't tell which one had earned this Constellation's ire; but she could tell that one of them was looking straight at her. Or if not her - she made a harder sight in the dark - than at the fire set set ablaze. Sankke lifted her hand, flicking her fingers toward that woman garbed in green: embers flickered briefly in her hand before fading away. The Constellation in green held some sort of power like her own, dealing in heat and light. Sankke was instantly intrigued.
Only when she was finished with her assessment did she turn back to Nashara, favoring her from the corners of her eyes. "The night could use some fire." Her tone of voice made the girl sound like she agreed - but in all honesty, Sankke was far from such assent.
This city that irritated her, burned her with its brightness and serenity... She'd known that a taint was coming. But never, never had she expected to be it. To be the one to burn down these buildings, and bright beauty: could she do that? Yet... the fire within her blazed, popping red and bright within her lantern. They wanted to burn, regardless of innocent life or her paltry qualms. It wanted to burn into Priyal, past the city's serenity, and into whatever lie beneath.
Well, then. So be it.
"What did you have in mind?"
Meowth purred some bawdy tune he had learned in the galley as he headed toward the guests' rooms, plates of food balanced in his arms in a very complex setup - even for him. Ramiel'd better be somewhere up here, if he wanted all this dinner to reach its destination in one piece.
The Phyri looked up after a moment - was that him, down the hall? And if it was, those he was talking to had to be the guests in question. Man. They looked like a foreboding bunch, didn't they? He lifted his tail in a brisk lash in greeting (and silent plea of 'come-take-a-plate, before-I-end-up-wearing-supper').

He knew he should have booked a room earlier; still, the constellation held it off and held it off, finding there was too much fun to be had in simply perusing the city. Although the day was steadily coming to an end, he still didn't feel compelled to sleep. He hadn't even planned on staying the night in Priyol, although plans were always subject to change.
Stretching an arm behind his head, Loki let out a long, exaggerated yawn, pausing in his walk to do so. People were already heading in, and with their absence came a sort of solitude he didn't like. It made him uncomfortable, the damned quiet. He wanted noise, for people to be awake and merry. Why did they feel the need to retire so soon?
Well, then again, perhaps the stories of Ruin's destruction had something to do with it.
Not that any of that really concerned him, he'd decided. It was a pity he wasn't the one being spoken of so often; hell, he'd take any kind of attention right now, negative or positive, if it meant someone would simply take the time to notice him. He flourished in attention, wilted without it. The saddest part was that he acknowledged this, yet did nothing to attempt to curb himself of his 'need'.
Sighing dramatically, he resumed his walk, yellow eyes aglow in the waning light. He looked around a bit, but now little was to be seen, save for the brilliant sky.
He snorted. Kicked a loose pebble across the street.
"Hn!" Loki shook his head, scowling at the ground. "Boring."

Nashara turned her head, sensing the Twilif's want, her need for the city to burn. She could practically see the flames licking up the sides of the city's buildings in the girl's eyes.
This was going to be fun.
She raised her arm, her white skin standing out easily in the darkness. Pale light from the moon above made her skin almost shimmer, a dull, burnished glow. Her hand pointed directly towards the inn she had been watching, the very inn that she had seen the group enter mere seconds ago.
"It is there that the fires must start. Top floor, second window on the north end. My informant in the inn swore on his life that's where they are staying the night."
She lowered her arm, jumping lightly onto the balustrade. Her feet rested delicately on the metal, her balance perfect. "All I need is a spark - I can take care of the rest after that. As for you, all I need is chaos.
Pure, unadulterated chaos. Think you can handle that?

All day wandering, really truly just having fun and enjoying himself. Having missed the festival from a month ago -the one so rudely ruined by seir and aeos- he found it rather nice to just kick back and explore a bit as he usually would have. Do up a few paintings, mingle with the locals, examine all the shiny things and sweet foods.
The cool night air rushing in as the sun sank lower in the horizon leaving the darkness and a semi-bright quarter moon in its wake. A small bag of chewy sweets, what had they been called? Bon-bons..in the constellations hand, happily munching on them as he searched for his dear friends home. The Inn would have been nice, and as always was an option, but daskri found himself craving more familiar faces and welcome surroundings. Strange places could only be so much fun after all.. It had taken a while, and a bit of talking with the locals, but eventually he'd learned of the whereabouts of Noel and his..was it cousin? Brother? Something of the sort, curie who owned a bakery near the market.
Noticing the passing of a few others still out after dark, one in particular peculiarly dressed looking constellation. Still he had to be going...Approaching what he assumed to be his old friends home daskri knocked gently on the front door, after a while it seemed to open and he found himself greeted with a small confused grin, no noel yet but still maybe a place to stay for the night?

She blinked, looking at Nashara through hooded eyes. And then she was off - Sankke jumped from the balustrade with that same sprightly speed, landing nimbly on the adjoining roof. From there, it was nothing but a sprint. Her bare feet where as good as silent where they fell. The glow of smoldering fires trailed after her, faintly marking her out where there would be darkness otherwise. The chains at her ear continued their clang, all for her to hear. It was harder to ignore them this time than most...
Sankke hoped that Nashara had the presence of mind to keep up. For no sooner had she reached the Inn's roof - her feet cushioning the weight of her leap with a soft paht! - than she whirled her lantern, all of its iron boiling now, above her head. For a second, it marking a jagged, fiery circle in the air; and then she brought it down, making the circle dull at once to sparkling embers. Embers that hung like orange stars, just waiting for the proper wind to make them into a deadly blaze.

As soon as he had entered the shadows of the old pier supports, Azra'iel had melted into the shadows. A light as he was, he was relatively good at it... the Constellation thought it had something to do with his ability to remain perfectly still, perfectly silent, and just listen.
He did not listen now, he watched as the group turned toward one of the more popular inns on this side of the city. Observing their dynamics, he couldn't quite decide how Haveni fit into the picture. There was obviously camaraderie of some type, but... something about her just didn't quite fit with the others.
Azra'iel shook his head, frowning slightly. The lady wasn't distressed by them, so it should not be a matter that concerned him. As he watched the group reach the edge of the sand, a smaller shadow broke off and began moving toward him... or rather, more likely the water. As it got closer, he could see it was a dark twilif. Azra'iel found himself wondering what the child had been doing talking to the others. That was the problem with being able to see.
It really ruined one's objectivity.
Sighing softly and shaking his head ruefully at himself, the Constellation stepped around the pier and into the light, hoping to not frighten the little one too badly.
"Greetings, little shadow. Where you there long?"
Having been completely dismissed, Ramial turned to head back to the kitchen and pick up food for the group when he saw the stairs were blocked by Meowth, the phryi that worked full-time serving at the pub. Ramial didn't know the guy well, but he seemed nice enough. Right at the moment though he was carrying more trys that Ramial thought was physically possible.
Well, at least he saved me a few trips!
Scrambling over, the twilif offered a cheeky grin and remained just out of range.
"Wow, even I'm impressed this time! The rooms are allllllllll the way down at the VERY end of the hall. Think you can make it? Or did you want a hand or two?"
