Part German, I'm 50% Lithuanian because my mom is 100%, however my dad is a lot of things. Primarily African-American, but also German and Native American...maybe some other things too. The only thing I'm fairly sure on is I'm 0% Asian. There actually use to be a "von" in front of our last name, but my grandpa apparently dropped it in the 1940s during WWII (no idea why ^_~...but seriously, they WERE mostly black, it's not like anyone would think they were Nazis). I kinda wanna add it back, because that would be stunning, but I do like my initials. GEvM is just not the same... razz

@JK: Yes, dominance flipping is fun. Too bad how many flaws there are with what's considered a minor and all that.
But isn't daylight savings time when you switch the clocks back so you have more daylight in winter? So isn't this time of year daylight savings? o.o Alls I know is that it's this time of year that Cartoon Network shows go on an hour later than Cartoon Network says they will... I don't understand this daylight savings you people do! D; It's so confusing, and seems pointless nowadays...

Oh, I thought you were into Hetalia already for some reason. XD;; But yes, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia as well are in it. Lithuania is probably one of the most main of the minor characters (main characters being England, France, America, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, and China).

@JK: I'm mostly English and German myself... a bit of French, a bit of Spanish, a bit of Scottish and Italian too, I think... Most of my ancestors went to Canada first, both English and French, then came to the US pretty recently, so you could also say I have English Canadian and French Canadian in me.

@Kits - Yea, legal systems are not ideal enough to function on individual judgment, everything has to be precedent...but that means the system is much more black and white than life, which is hardly fair.

No, Daylight Savings is to extend the growing season, to have more daylight in spring/summer. You don't need more daylight in the winter, as a general rule things typically do not grow (now this is CA, so yes, yes they do, but the vast majority of crops - especially those more temperamental to weather pattern changes - are still plant in spring/harvest in summer - so that's when you need the sun). So we've recently gone to Standard time and will remain that way until spring. So maybe you actually link up with our daylight savings time and not our standard time. See I'm busy being annoyed now, because being on Standard time means it gets dark at 5pm, which means I have very little daylight left when I get off work.

Yea I just changed my clock to check, you are an hour ahead of us (it's just after 11pm here, midnight in AZ), so actually, daylight savings is the only time of year you are in the same time frame as us. And as we recently (i.e. as of a few years ago) changed DS to extend for more of the year (for no reason I can fathom), we are in the same time zone (sorta) for most of the year 8 months, middle of March - middle of November (we only got off of DS a couple of weeks ago, it was while I was at Y-con actually, that was nice since I stayed up so late). If we didn't have Daylight Savings you and I would never be in the same time.

As for TV though, I'm not sure about that, for the most part television is on the Eastern lineup (at least it is for us, so we have to specifically check the conversion to pacific on any general lineup) here. And I have NO idea what's going on in that half of the country.

I only heard about it recently, so yea it's on my fail list but I've yet to get into it. My friend keeps talking about America and Canada all the time - even though I think she's yet to see it either. And go Lithuania!! Haha *ethnic pride* (see can't really have national for a nation I've technically never been to).

And, I kinda feel like von something or other ALWAYS sounds snooty, but that's part of the awesomeness of it wink

@Kits - so if it wasn't for Daylight Savings Time you'd be off all year! Haha, yay DST! Most of my electronics make the change automatically so it's not too big a deal - things like computers, phones, Ipods (and even my VCR), if they are set to "pacific time" they automatically adjust with pacific time. So it's not that much of an inconvenience (power outages are more of an inconvenience than a time change usually). Even my alarm clock has a DST button built into it, so I just push the button and it changes to the alternate setting (I just have to make sure after a power outage during DST to set the alarm on the DST setting, or else I'll get to the Standard Time change and it'll be wrong).

Ugh, now I really want to see Hetalia, right now! BAH!!!
