((um... just a thought, but I don't think your post works. This was the last post of yours before mine. You clearly stated that Sofia left, or at least moved away. In my post before that one, I clearly stated that Vaizel was holding Sabel Before Sofia moved to leave. AkaneAme Nodding Sofia follows this stranger, she seems to be kind of trusting this person. Her eyes close and thinking that she might be a little foolish. AkaneAme Ermak Lorde Vaizel was still curled protectively around Sabel's unconcious form, one thought repeating through his mind, I must protect her! No one shall take her! I must protect her!.... So intent was his focus that all other throughts disapeared, then gradually, Vaizel barely registered the change, his thoughts became I must protect her, I must flee, I must help,... they are hurt.... I must flee .....hurt ....heal ...flee ...... His eyes snapped open, blazing slitted and very green, and with a snarl he bolted away from the motorcycle and the fighting shinobi. Sabel was still clutched in his grasp, but his mind now registered two other figures on his protect list. I must protect them.... We must flee.... He raced noisily down the road and before anyone could stop him he scooped up the injured Dahry and Teerce, his JENOVA and Mako enhanced strength permitting him to maintain his pace as he did so. We must flee!... With single-minded determination he threw himself from the road, spreading his wings, and launching into ungainly flight despite the burden he now carried. We must flee! .... He thought desparetly and headed away from the city. Walking behind Vazel her hands on her weapon, she brings it toward his throat. "You will give her to me, unless you want to a new place to breath!" Her eyes are glowing green. "You will hand over Sabel!" Now I'm not saying that your move is impossible, but take into consideration that you were a distance away when Vaizel got up to leave...and he didn't just 'stand and walk away' he "bolted" or jumped to his feet and ran. Not only that but he also jumped from the bridge-like road and started flying... gliding, something like that. So he isn't exactly standing anywhere where Sofia could calmly "put a blade to his throat" it is very..... unrealistic for her to react to his movements in that way.))

OOC: Whoops, sorry, been a little behind what with the holidays and all...
Shinrei dodged Zaber's attack and then sufferred a series of blows as Xuriel unleashed a flurry of slashes with his sakabatou. However Xuriel would have noticed a strangeness to the quality of his blows as they slashed through the ninja's figure. The after-image faded and the shinobi had already fled.
OOC: Why does everyone insist on trying to fight the people who have stated that their character has fled? And why is it that those who have stated they fled keep coming back? Shinrei doesn't want to stick around he has a meeting to go to...

Dahry was considerably startled as she was snatched by #7. It was with a certain irony that she realised just what had happened. He picked up on my message, strange that but really quite convenient. Even more so as she realised that he was heading in the direction that she had to go. Hmm, he must be picking it up from my mind. I just hope nothing startles him out of his single-mindedness. That would be very bad, seeing how much he hates me. She just hoped she still had her bargaining items intact, and that she would be up to the meeting ahead. She realised too that Vaizel's furious energy was sending a sort of echo down the link that they shared. So too did #7's gripping focus threaten to echo back and grip her as well. She shook it off and sought to gaurd against it as she craned to see up at him. She was held in such a position that she could only see the ground below her and the wing that was her creation.

Zaber's swings missed as the man vanished through afterimage. "Dang. I never could figure out how he did that." He was referring to his old friend DMM, who had tried to teach the skill to him, but Zaber was too slow to pull it off. He saw Vaizel fleeing with Dahry and the beast. He turned to the man. "Thanks for all you help. I couldn't have gotten Shade to the hospital if you hadn't shown up. I won't ask you to for anymore help, but I have to go and make sure Vaizel doesn't wind up killing someone. Thanks again." Zaber's black wings flew up from beneath the cloak as he took flight, the stab wound from Melody's Soul Eater was still hurting.

Sofia decides to leave this scene, her duty was to observe and she is sensing that she over stayed. She had disobeyed a direct order not to get involved, now she has to answer to Yazou for it. Getting on her motorcycle is preparing to leave. Its up to you, Sabel, I can't do anything about this, she thinks angrily.
She gets onto her cellphone and whispers. "Sabel was caught, I will wait in Sector 9, for orders." Her eyes are still moving up the street, she finds a clear and empty way to the abandoned library, the meeting area for her group.

((Thanks Akane! wink 3nodding ))
Vaizel's mind whirled, still caught in the same repeating loop. He needed to flee, this he was accomplishing his great metal wings pumping furiously and glowing pale green with the effort. They were hurt... this he knew deep in his subconcious, they were very hurt, and unable to protect themselves. He attributed this to all three of his charges. Heal..... Some small portion of his brain hesitated on that one, they needed to be healed, but in order to do that Vaizel would have to stop! The flee command was too strong at the moment, but with two of his three protectees losing blood at a steady pace, his mind warred. It was in this daze that he reached his destination a small and mostly hidden outpost a short ways from midgar nearer to Kalm, Nestled in the deep forests next to the mountain. Vaizel landed here akwardly, with a loud crash that startled the birds from their trees. He set down the three figures as carefully as he could, and then still caught in his single-minded hypnosis cast the Cure2 that was in his wing-slots. He had fled, he had healed them, they were safe and no longer hurt. Vaizel's entrapped mind slowed, What was he supposed to do now?? He blinked several times as his mind began to recover, and puzzle over his lack of direction.

((No problem))
Sofia reached the library preparing for Yazou and the others, she is hoping she isn't going to be too in trouble about this. Her mind whirls to the times she failed before at the hands of Dr. Maria Star, the person who cloned her. She hates failure in missions, but knowing that she was only meant to observe, she was never meant get personally involved. Sabel's mission was doomed from the start, even I knew that, but at least she was trying it. Regardless, I was told to observe her and report in if she was successful or not. So far this has been a mission of failure. Yazou will not take kindly to this, but there is little for me to do.
Trying to use her cell again to contact Kadaj or any members of the group seems to be taking longer. "This is Sofia, I am at Sector 9, hurry. Spotted the one who took Sabel, he is heading out toward Kelm, need assistance." She knows that this message might not reach them in time, but at least she is doing what she can. Sabel, do something!

Dahry stood where # 7 had left her for several moments as he went about healing the group. She saw that he was regaining himself and then decided that it would propitious to leave bfore he did recover fully. She and the now restored Teerce were not up to fighting #7, and staying around would undoubtedly lead to just that. Taking #4 would mean the same thing, which was a pity. Sadly, he was no longer receptive to her mind-communications, he was so thickly focused that nothing else would penetrate. But how to be on time for the meeting, and not have an angry experiment busting in to interrupt it. She was still mulling through this when a black blur in her perpherael vision. She looked up, expecting yrouble, and was pleased to see that her business associate had arrived! What good timing! Just then, Dahry realised that she had not ascertained the well-being of the payment! She did so hurriedly as the black cloaked individual drew nearer.

Sabel roused as she was laid on the ground. She blinked a few times as she opened her eyes and screamed when she suddenly saw the horific form of Teerce laying near her. The descendent leaped away in startled fear, unconsciously throwing herself closer to Vaizel. Feeling her back and shoulders touching a warm hard surface she looked up and back, into the face of the bewildered Vaizel. redface "Wh-where am I?" She asked shakily.

the hypnotic cloud that had been hindering Vaizel's thoughts suddenly shattered. Sabel's scream dashed him from his daze, He blinked in startlement, staring for a few breif moments before his memories came back to him, "Dawn?..." He whispered once, then his eyes flew to where Dahry Teerce and the black-cloaked figure stood. In one movement he pulled Dawn/Sabel to himself, holding her possesively in his arms as he glared at the three before him, "If you want to take her, You'll have to get past me first!!" He snarled.

Dahry didn't even bother to reply to # 7's shouted challenge. She was not going to stick around to find herself in even more of a quarrel with him. She glanced at where the black cloaked figure had stood, only to find him gone. Thanks for the help, you weasely, no good... Oh well, how could I have expected ought else?. Dahry ran from the clearing, any attempt at dignity forgotten, now was not a time for such. The monster followed without hesitation as Dahry found that running was harder than she remembered. She stopped at what she figured was at least 3/4 miles away from where she had been. She then tried to regain her breath in a more dignified manner before her temporary associate arrived. She strongly suspected that he was already nearby, just waiting and watching her for the pleasure of her her irritation.

Zaber was having some difficulty. He couldn't find Vaizel anywhere. He evntually found him by lighting a flame in his hand, and seeing the reflection off of Vaizel's wings. He landed next to him to see Sabel had awoken.

Sabel was startled by the way the man took such possessive hold of her. Yet it wasn't a bad feeling. The warmth of his arms around her and his clear concern for her welfare...it almost hurt. This, this is what I've been looking for! She realized. The sensation felt good, knowing she was wanted, that someone was caring for her. Belatedly she realized they were in something of a battle and cast Trine in the direction she had last seen the white jacketed woman and her horrendous beast, but it was already too late. She looked up at her protector, confused at how his features struck her as familiar. But I've never seen him before, have I? She wondered, not realizing that her eyes were currently a mottled brown color.
