Ulrich nodded. "Right. We'll be back for you in the morning, Timaeus." And, motioning to the others, he headed towards the door.

Once they were all back on their way to the ranch, Ulrich commented, "Well, now I suppose it's just to talk to Celeborn, meet the new people ... and ... give notice to those who will be going with."

"And find out where you're going and how many people will have to go," Ulani pointed out. "Not much point otherwise."

Donovan nodded at this, though Aragost was already talking to Celeborn he would have to go and see Celeborn too.

"Well let's find out where and how many first," Donovan replied, "we can do that after I introduce you to pair, and then talk to Celeborn."

On their way to the ranch, Ulani checked her vision crystal, checking the location and size of the slaver party. Once they arrived at the ranch, Kanis and Aras, who were once more ahead of the others, turned to Donovan and asked, "So where are they?"

Both girls appeared to be quite excited, though truth be told Kanis was also a little nervous about seeing Corrah and Armus again.

"They're inside in the playroom," Donovan thumbed the house, "With everyone else."

Hopefully nothing happened while he was gone, he didn't expect anything to though. Even though Toshiro could be a touchy person at times he at least knew when to sulk quietly.

"Let's go," he motion, "Your grandmother and grandfather will be happy to see you."

"Grandmother and Grandfather?" Aras squealed excitedly. "Kanis, come on! Let's go!" She grabbed her sister's hand and took off towards the house.

Kanis yelped and stumbled after Aras, but she caught her balance quickly enough and ran after her. She had met her grandmother once, but she had never seen her grandfather. Aras had been the only one to go to the wedding, and their grandfather had never come to the Seconds world - or this one, while they had been here.

Inside, Corrah and Armus had taken a seat alone in the dining room while the others visited in the playroom. They felt awkward and out of place in there with the others, but now, in the dining room, with just the two of them, they felt better, more comfortable. They were talking quietly to each other, not really paying attention to what was going on in the other room.

Aras was the first one to reach the playroom, and she let out a loud squeal. "Nako!" she exclaimed, pouncing on Elnara and hugging her tightly around the neck. "And Neko!" She laughed and hugged Lore as well. "You're finally here!"

Kanis was a bit slower and far more calm - though that was also nervousness. She looked at her grandparents, then looked around at the others. Haradhel, Kara, Kara's twins, Elnara's twins ... but where were Corrah and Armus?

Meanwhile, outside, Ulani and Ulrich were still with Donovan. "I'll come with you to see Celeborn," Ulani offered to Donovan, "Ulrich can go on inside and meet the new people. If you don't mind, that is."

Lore laughed as he hugged Aras back, even though she had grown so much he could still tell it was her. Squeezing her slightly he let go to get a good look at her. She didn't look that much like Celebor growing up so he wondered if she took after more of her mother.

"It certainly has been a very long while," Lore replied ,"Though obviously longer for you than for me."

Though he hadn't seen her since the wedding and therefore it had been nearly two years, he knew it had been months since Celebor moved his family here.

"I don't mind," Donovan murmured.

It wasn't like he had to be there for everything, and he knew that. So he might as well let Ulrich be friendly with the newcomers. That was the nice thing about Ulrich (even if he can annoy people sometimes) was that he was very friendly.

"Let's go then..."

Aras giggled and stood still so that her grandfather could inspect her. "All grown up," she beamed. "And it's so wonderful here, the land is beautiful and there's six whole seasons and they're all different and they're all beautiful - and the people, and the things to do - I love it! I'm so glad that Daddy brought us here!"

"It is a lot nicer here than where we used to live," Kanis agreed, still looking around. "Oh!" she smiled, spotting Corrah and Armus through the glass doors of the playroom and dining room. "There they are!"

Corrah and Armus spotted Kanis at about the same time, and Corrah rose to his feet in amazement. Armus simply stared.

Ulani took Donovan to the barracks, to Celeborn's quarters, and knocked at the door. After only a brief pause, the door opened, and Celeborn stood in the doorway. He smiled warmly at her and Donovan and opened his door wider.

"Come in," he said warmly, "come in, Aragost has already been to see me, I've been expecting you. Welcome back again, Donovan, it's been a while - again."

Donovan chuckled, "Yes it has been, and as it'll continue to be. Especially with the family expanding again."

Not that he minded, he just waiting for someone anyone one (even himself since he had done it by accident once) to bring home another child. Though he hoped to wait at least a few years with the twins running around.

Lore had laughed gaily at Aras excitement, he had been worried at first about the family living in a different world on a completely different time stream but it was obvious she was happy. He was surprised though to find out that the girls it seemed knew Corrah and Armus. He wasn't quite sure how he should feel about that.

"Do you girls know them?"

Celeborn chuckled. "Your family will never stop growing," he grinned at Donovan. "But then, that's not a bad thing. Now come, Aragost tells me we've a trip to plan, and little time to do it - as well as some newcomers that need orientating and put on the schedule."

"I think perhaps the first step is for people to get used to them," Ulani commented as she stepped into his quarters and sat down on a chair. "There seem to be mixed reactions about them from the people who know them. Some people absolutely adore them ... and others ..." She hesitated, looking at Donovan.

Aras nodded happily at her grandfather. "They were our trainers, back in the other world," she smiled. "We had a lot of fun with them, and Corrah was a wonderful trainer ... but Ruran had too much trouble with them, so Daddy took us here to live instead. At first we were sad, but now we love it here."

Kanis wasn't there anymore, she had run across the hall to the dining room to greet her old trainers.

Donovan sighed at this, even he was at a lost at this because it was not in his nature to like anyone who harmed his family in anyway, but he knew he had to be practical about it.

"Others are not fond of the pair... or out right scared of them if you're a black winged little mouse named Miyu.

Donovan shrugged, he wasn't really sure of what to do and he had hoped to avoid their more negative aspects but that last reaction threw it out of the window. At least he could write off Miyu's fright as a Miyu thing.

"I don't know the two very well," Donovan admitted, "But you don't need to know them well to know they have had very little interaction with other people. From what little I've seen Corrah is... how should I put this nicely? He makes me look like Mr. Sunshine, he has problems with not knowing how to interact with other people and over reacting. Armus I think isn't that bad, but she'll side with Corrah on matters I think."

He paused a bit more to think about it....

"I think.... if you put them on schedule, don't partner them up together until they get use to interacting with others besides each other. Pair them up with someone who is friendly and has patience, that's the only thing I can think of. Normally I would leave it, I mean we've had less than social people before, but if there is a misunderstanding I would like it for them to sit down and be able to talk about it. Honestly I think the reactions that are going around, the negative ones are mainly from misunderstandings that they don't have the skills to work through."

If Aragost's confrontation of the two of them said anything about it. He could tell (and not just because he was the girl's grandfather) from Miyu's drooping shoulders that she did see Corrah's point of view... but Corrah....

Lore was surprised to hear this, he had no idea the grandchildren knew of the two so well. Though hearing such a glowing compliment from Aras did make him feel a bit better about it all. He had still been unsure and undecided after Aragost's confrontation.

"I see, well he's here to help Haven now so I guess they're here to stay."

Ulani nodded her understanding. She sort of understood what he meant. Niyana had exploded when finding out that Corrah and Armus had come, but her daughters had been so pleased ...

"Perhaps the first step would simply to be getting them used to being around others," she suggested. "From what I gather ... they've never been with others before, not really ... so maybe if we started with getting them to meet people, learn how to act around others ..."

"Celeborn!" a new voice called out from out in the hallway. There was a knock at the door, and then it opened. A blond elf stepped in and stopped in his tracks when he saw Donovan and Ulani in there as well. He was fairly tall, nearly as tall as Celeborn, with curious, green eyes. He didn't seem to be dressed for the weather - his feet were bare, he had no cloak, and he wore only a light, sleeveless tunic and a pair of pants. He cleared his throat awkwardly and turned back to Celeborn.

"Celeborn," he said again, holding out one hand, "I have those leaves you wanted."

Ulani laughed. "More mint leaves, Ruque?"

The man grinned. "He claims that this time he will make sure there are some left for the children. Not that I trust him, but I hope he does keep his word, it's very late in the season and I shan't find any more until the spring."

Celeborn chuckled and took the leaves from him. "Donovan, have you met Ruque? Celebor's son?"

Ruque blushed a bit, his long hair falling forward into his eyes. "Don't say it as if I'm the only one," he murmured softly to the fighter.

Aras's eyes sparkled brightly as she listened to Lore. "I think that will be wonderful," she murmured, "though Daddy won't like it so much. Of course, if it's just the two of them it's not so bad ... and Ruran's older now so he should be better ..."

Elnara's eyes narrowed slightly. "You keep saying it's fine because it's just the two of them," she commented slowly. "What do you mean by that?"

Aras bit her lip anxiously, then sighed. "Mother and Daddy didn't like my friend that I had when I was training with Corrah and Armus. He was a wild wolf boy, and Armus adopted him ... Mother and Daddy didn't like him. But I guess he must be all grown up by now, too, and gone off on his own ..."

Donovan chuckled at that, blond hair.... obviously look after his mother in looks at least.

"Hey, don't worry I'm aware there are two daughters and two sons.... I met your sisters, though I've known Aras the longest."

He wondered if he should mention Corrah and Armus and decided then it didn't matter. As far as he was concerned it seemed for the most part the children liked the pair.. unless you were this Ruran fellow.

Kara shook her head, "It's only been.... probably many months since you've moved here for us. The Seconds World is in the same time space as Gaia, so chances are if he has grown... he's only a child now."

Though she had never met this wolf child.

"Though he could have grown fast," Toshiro reminded his mother, "Didn't Trisha become an adult before the year was out? Though.. she's the only Second who's ever done that. Probably because she was one of the first."

Ruque grinned sheepishly at Donovan. "Sorry," he murmured. "I guess I'm just used to people trying not to talk too much about Ruran. He ... can be a jerk, but he's a lot better than he used to be."

"Perhaps you should talk to him as well," Ulani commented to Donovan raising one eyebrow. "You might do him some good."

Celeborn snorted, then tried to cover it up with a cough. "Sorry," he apologized, clearing his throat. "Ignore me. No, don't. Ulani, you came here so that we could plan a hunt, now let's plan a hunt. Ruque, go on and find your father and tell him we're leaving in the morning and get ready."

Ruque couldn't help himself, he chuckled as he headed out the door.

Aras blinked at Kara. "We came here just a few days after we grew to children," she told her, "so ... I don't know, maybe he's still a child if it's only been that long back there, then."

She looked over her shoulder at Kanis, Corrah and Armus in the other room. "I suppose once they join us I could ask."

Donovan had to keep reminding himself he really didn't want to know even if in reality he did. When Ruque left, Donovan couldn't help but comment.

"Very subtle...."

Of course he was sarcastic about it, there was nothing subtle about that. Turning his attention back to the task at hand he went back to the original topic.

"So... where are we headed this time?"

"That might be for the best," Kara agreed.

Though she wasn't sure but she was sure from what she saw that the two were surprised at seeing the girls. Though whether it was from how they looked or because they were here too was questionable.
