[Enter Dr. Doom from Latveria]A bright flash heralds the arrival of the Monarch of Latveria, as the armored dictator is shot from the explosive portal. Victor barely has enough time to get his legs under him and activate the inertial dampeners built into his Adamantium battlearmor to protect the wearer from gravitational forces. Even when Doom was slammed knee first into the busted concrete, the dampeners shield the majority of the blow.
From a kneeling position, Dr. Doom waited a moment for his suit's systems to reboot -- watching the reboot screens displayed before his eyes. As the adamantium armor or war finished the reboot, heavy steam issued upward around the armored figure, then Doom slowly stood and looked at his new surroundings.
Doom was not pleased....
Dr. Doom's armor was linking back up to one of his satelite relays informing the Absolute Ruler of Europe that he was back in Gotham -- a part of Gotham that was in complete chaos. Checking his internal chonometer to verify when he was, Victor deduced that he was still in the same time but was in a ruined portion of Gotham City.
Looking around with distain, Doom commented to himself, "Do these Americans have no shame... I have seen the rest of Gotham, and this section looks like a war zone. Unbelieveable..."
Noticing a few vagrants scampering away from him frightened....
Doom continued to reflect, "I must succeed for the sake of civilization to prevent.... this from spreading."
