"Well, use t' be I just wanted a family. I wanted a wife an' kids, someone t' share me life wi'," Rory said, shrugging, "then I met you an' I cannae picture anyone else bein' me wife or th' mother o' me children."

All she wanted to do at that point was tackle him and bombard the boy with kisses. Keeping her cool as best she could, with the only indication of her emotions being her deepened breathing, she nodded and tried to keep her grin from looking less ridiculous. Taking a deep breath, she looked up at him. "How many kids were we gonna have, exactly?" She giggled playfully, her eyes still bright.

"Depends on how big th' house is, I s'pose," Rory chuckled, blushing a little. "Donnae matter reet now, aye? Be awhile before I decide t' be a da. I'm old enough fae marriage an' all tha' now, but I wis sorta hopin' t' finish schoolin' an' hae a bigger place before handfastin' and raisin' bairns."

Lee shook her head and laughed, hoping he hadn't gotten too flustered. She hadn't meant to embarrass him, but she really did find his blushing adorable. That didn't mean she herself wasn't worrying, but only because he didn't know how much she didn't like children. She wouldn't mention it, however, hoping that by the time they'd be ready for that, she'd have changed her mind. No need to push Rory away when she wasn't sure how she'd feel.

Rory looked at her sidelong. "I'm guessin' you ain't really wantin' weans reet now either, yeah? 's why I'm tryin' t' be so careful." He stopped and looked around, not really wanting their conversation overheard. "Lee, I think you should consider gaen t' th' doctor. A condom can only do so much. I'll gae wi' you, too, if you want."

Lee looked down at her feet, a slightly guilty expression on her face. He didn't know how much she dislike kids, right? At his suggestion, her eyes shot up at him, and she, too, looked around to make sure no one could over hear them. Blushing a bit, she nodded. "I didn't know they'd have that here... Y-you can come if you want, but... you dun have to." She didn't want to embarrass the boy with her -- she knew where the doctor was and could get there on her own, at least.

"Why wouldnae I gae wi' you? I want t' know what options w' hae, too," Rory said, nodding. "An' I ain't sure w' got th' pills here. Might be w' hae t' gae t' th' outside fae tha'." He shuffled his foot a bit, looking down. "W' can talk about tha' later, though. Rather gae ridin' an' hae tha' picnic I promised you."

Lee looked down as well, laughing nervously and nodding. "Later is good." Coughing uncomfortably, she decided they should probably keep such conversations behind closed doors from now on.

Rory just chuckled, stroking Lee's cheek gently before giving her a quick kiss. Taking her hand, he led her through the crowds toward the stables.

As the stables came into sight, Lee squeezed his hand a bit, not exactly wanting to see a repeat of what she'd witnessed before. "Dun have Kettle do any tricks while I'm on this time, kay?" She gave him a fake stern look, and while she was playing, she still wasn't wanting the boy to try and impress her while she was riding the horse.

"Nae, I wonnae do tha'. Donnae want t' take th' chance o' droppin' our lunch," Rory said as they walked in. First thing he did was poke his head in the office to say hello to his father. Then he went to the locker room to get his boots on, leaving the jacket off since he was merely just going riding. He handed the box to Lee as they went to the stables so he could get Kettle's blanket and bridle. "Be just a moment, lass, while I get him situated. I can saddle him, too, if you'd prefer."

Box in hands, Lee shook her head. "No, I-- You don't need to." She smiled faintly toward the boy, figuring she should get used to riding bareback from now on. Besides, it was supposed to be more romantic that way, or so she heard.

Lee nodded, heading in the direction Rory had asked her to meet him, looking down at the food in her hands as she walked. When she arrived, she took a peek at what kinds of cookies Rory'd bought, not bothering to keep herself from eating the first sugar cookie she found.

Rory rode up on Kettle, amused expression at having caught Lee eating the cookie. "Oi, lass, do save some fae me." He moved Kettle over to the fence so Lee could climb on easier. "Sit in front o' me, okay?"
