Eros slept soundly her thoughts on Bakura and how her emotions for him grew...
Atem smiled and whispered in her ear "I love you... I have for a while and I thought you should know..." his smile widened as he kept her close "and I guess you feel the same?" he asked with a playful smile.

Amme felt a shiver run down her back when he said he loved her. When he questioned if she felt the same, she couldn't come to words. She stretched up and kissed him back passionately and excitedly. She kept her arms tightly around him, not wanting to let go of him. She was so happy, but at the same time stricken. Because she knew she could not have him. She pulled away from him and said, "Yes, I love you too. I think I always have." However he looked at him with tearfilled eyes.
Bakura fell asleep and as he feared, he began to dream. It was the same nightmare he has had for years, only few things ever change. He dremt of the day his village was destroyed. He watched everyone burn in the fires that the royal guards started. Men, women, and children, all were slain. The streets were filled with corpses and blood. He saw himself as a child, running away from the guards, hiding. In reality, Bakura grunted and tensed up in his bed. Back in his dream, he watched the guards and soldiers leave his village, the bloody mess that it was. He sat there in the dark, scared and quiet. But once he felt they were all gone he crawled out onto a bloody street. It was all over him, his hands, knees, his clothing. He could smell soot, it was heavy on his little lungs. His family, friends, neighbors, he could see all of their dead faces. He was the only one that lived, he was the only one to remember this monstrosity. He couldn't just leave his fellow loved ones like this. Their spirits would never rest. But he was only a boy, what could a boy do? He tried, he tried whatever he could. He saw his younger self dragging the dead bodies into the one house that was not on fire. One by one he dragged them, his mother, his father, his friends, his neighbors. Meanwhile, in reality, Bakura went from small grunts to horrified moans, to outright screaming in his sleep. His body was so tense, from his shoulders to his finger tips his whole body was ridgid. "Fuuuuuuuuuuck!!!!!!!!! AHhhhhhHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! GAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" he screamed and breathed heavily.

Eros jumped at the sound of Bakura's screams and quickly ran to his part of the room. she saw his face and body contorted with extreme pain and sorrow, this site made her heart and soul ache. She knew... she understood she shouldn't get so close t this man, but she couldn't help but feel drawn to him. Eros ran to his bed side and shook him gently "Bakura! whatever you're dreaming, it's a dream! even if it is a memory it is just that!" she sat on the bed next to him as she grew concerned. not exactly sure what to do...
Atem's smiled faded at the look in her eyes "they don't have to know.... we can keep it between us.. until I can change the laws no one must know. for our safety. as well as theirs." he whispered softly so only she heard. after that Atem just held her close.

The tears continued down her face. "But your the Pharaoh, how can I jeopardize your position?" she said. "And you'll never have a normal relationship, you'll never truly have a wife," she added. She felt horrible that he had to keep his love a secret. She felt that she let him down, that she couldn't give him the things other women could.
Bakura continued to scream bloody murder as his dream continued to play. It took a few second for him to wake up from his nightmare after Eros shook him. When he did, his eyes shot open. His eyes reflected the horrors he re-witnessed. It took a while for his body to relax again, for his muscle to loosen up. He breathed heavily, trying to calm his mind and soul. He looked up at Eros. She must have woken because of him, she probably woke him as well.

Eros looked at him with genuine concern and worriment. "..... are you ok?" she asked softly, not really sure how to approach such things. All of this was quite new to her. She never felt so helplessly concerned for someone or such an Aching desire to make the pain go away. In many ways she was afraid of what she was feeling.
Atem smiled "don't worry. I will find a way around it. I promise, and soon we can be together in public without hiding it." He wiped away her tears "and never think that you let me down... society is just cruel to us. But I'll have that change."

Once he realized what happened and where he really was, Bakura started to collect himself. Now his muscles were relaxed and he was able to move his body. He sat up next to Eros. "No....." he said at first telling her the truth. He looked at his hands and arms, they felt like they were dragging his friends and family like he did in the past. But his hands were clean. They were not dirtied by the dead. He then closed his eyes for a moment. "I'm ok now that I am awake. I'm sorry if I startled you," he said lowly and sincerely without any attitude. His heart was finally slowing down to a normal rhythm. He opened his eyes and looked at Eros. She actually looked worried about him. In a way, he almost liked that she cared, but the other half of him did not. Did he seem weak to her? He did not want to seem weak, especially toward her. He looked into her eyes. Those big beautiful eyes staring at him, the monstrosity that he was. He actually was rather speechless, he didn't know what to tell her. Should he tell her what he saw? For once he wasn't sure about something.
Amme smiled a little when he told her things would change. But something in her heart doubt it. Perhaps she was just being too pessimistic. Her fears and suppression from those long years were the cause of her doubt. But if she can at least be with him, even in secret, she would be happy. She hugged him and nuzzled her face into his chest. "I love you....." she said happily. It felt so good to actually out and say it. She then looked up at him, "I loved you even before I could see you," she said then brought her hands up to his face to gently touch. He was attractive yes, but she loved him for his soul.

"the...startle wasn't what worried me, or concerns me." Eros loved his wild red eyes, they were so different and had a different form of passion. a fierce and wild one, like flames. "I'm just glad you're ok..." secretly she wouldn't be able to stand life if anything happened to him. Her gentle fingers touched the scar on his face "I can see why you hate sleeping or closing your eyes for too long. Memories haunt me as well but nothing like what yours are." she said softly "and hiding ones Emotions will never make you strong. A strong man expresses his emotions." she said wisely, remembering Seth "....don't want to end up Like Seth do you?" she said playfully, trying to lighten the mood.
Atem Smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist and spun them around in a circle "you're so lovable!" he said with joy as he kissed her passionately. He was more deeply in love with her than he first though. these were strong and unusual feelings, seeing as she was the only he felt so strongly for. "I'll never love anyone as much as I do you."

Amme grabbed onto him tightly as he spun her around. She giggled though, enjoying his hold and touch. He stopped her laughs with a passionate kiss that almost stopped her heart. She's never felt such joy before, everything she kept hidden came out and it felt wonderful. She kissed him back just as passionately. She put one hand in his robe to pet his head and hair while the other rested on the outside of his hood so it wouldn't fall off. "You took the words right out of my mouth," she said smiling after she pulled away a little. "My heart belongs to you, always and forever," she said.
Bakura looked into her eyes as she spoke. Something touched him when she said she was just glad he was ok. He has not had another human being give him compassion since he was young. He looked at her and actually felt...... trust. Something he had lost long ago. "I do hate to sleep, because my mind brings me to a place I do not wish to ever be again. And still it makes me revisit the place over and over again. I feel like I am a lost Ba bound to relive the moment over and over again. It never rests," he explained. "And you know it too. No matter how intense it is it is still like a living hell," he added. He did not like it when she told him not to hide his emotions. He looked away with his eyes and smirked slightly. "It's fine. I only have to concern myself with these emotions. You don't have to worry about such things," he said. He was about to open up to her but he couldn't. He couldn't explain his emotions to her. He couldn't quite open up completely. He started to before, but he clammed right back up like he always did. He did chuckle a little when she mentioned that pin head Seth.

Eros gave a small smile "why shouldn't I? when I have no one else to connect with but you now. I can't connect with any of those other men or any woman like I can with you." She laid back so she could see his face again. "I wont pressure it, just give it time." she wanted to add 'after all you have more time than I do.' but she didn't want to go swirling down that same path with him like earlier.
Atem nodded "and My heart will always belong to you." he said gently. "hey are you hungry? I heard their food is good, though not too healthy, but it is nice to have something delectable every now and then." he spoke softly in her ear as he held her close to him.

Amme pulled away slightly to look at him. "Yes, actually I'm a little hungry," she said. "That's ok, it can't be that bad," she said with a smile. She held his hand and rubbed her thumb against his hand. "What is it exactly? Have you had it before?" she asked as they walked around to get something small to eat.
One thing was for certain, Bakura did feel awfully connected with this girl. Something was special about her, something he never wanted to lose. It was like one of his treasures, but she wasn't like a material possession. He moved some of his hair out of his face and looked at her. "How do you connect with me?" he asked more interested then anything.

Atem smiled as they walked to the food court "i don't know, never been here remember?" he said sweetly and looked at all the food. "everything smells so good..." he whispered.(no telling what they had back then ><)
"the harsh truth of reality is not blind to me, I can see it as clearly as i see you. We have common emotions towards the world I come from. Different worlds but you and I are equals. Impure or not. every man and woman in the world has the same ancestors...." she said softly as she accepted his touch "we both know the cruelty of the royal society... your village gone, and me being outcasted by my own brother and mother. the consul wanting to feed me to the crocodiles. both of us were seen as insignificant but on the contrary we are strong, much stronger than they know." She realized that she told him she knew of his past. She was in the room as her step father made the demands that day. Eros closed her eyes and looked down.

She watched as many different stands were making all different types of food. She then walked a bit faster then Atem, causing her to drag him a little. She couldn't help it, she was easily excited by all these new things. She brought him to one stand where a woman was mashing up something in a bowl. On the counter were small ball like figures with some type of nut coated on it. There was a stick threw each ball, probably so one could pick it up. "Excuse me, what are these?" Amme asked the woman. "These are tiger nut sweets," the woman replied though she was a little confused why Amme would ask. "They are blended prunes with walnuts and cinnamon mixed in. We then shape them and coat them with honey and almonds," she explained. "Would you two like some?" she asked with a smile. Amme looked at Atem and smiled. She defiantly wanted some but did he? "Do you want some?" she asked.Bakura did not question Eros how she knew about his village. Not right now, something else was on his mind. He wanted to be connected with her. He actually wanted to be close to another human being. He didn't know what came over him, he couldn't control his actions, but since his hand was already near her head, he put his hand on the back of her head and leaned forward into her, placing his lips onto her lips. He gave her a passionate deep kiss. He did it without notice or asking, he could not change his ways. When he wanted something, he went after it. And something in the back of his head strive to touch her and kiss her as so. But it did not last long, he realized what he did and he moved away from her. He then stood up and looked down at her, "I did not mean to...." he said but stopped. He was not apologizing, but yet he did not want to take back his actions. He wanted to, he knew that, but he didn't know why he out and just kissed her. Despite Bakura feeling a bit awkward, it was a rather cute and humorous reaction and look.

Atem smiled "sounds delicious. I'd like out too please." he said sweetly as he put money on the counter for both of them. he enjoyed the smell and smiled. "smells wonderful."
Eros smiled and pulled him on the bed beside her and kissed him back gently. she had waited for what felt like an eternity to fall in love with someone like him. she desired him and his touch as much as he desired her. "it's ok the feeling s mutual..." she pulled away slowly.

Bakura was pulled down by Eros after he stood up. He didn't resist, he sat back down with her and wrapped his arms around her. When she said the feeling was mutual, he ran his fingers through her hair. He could barely control what his body did. All he knew was that he wanted to touch her as well. Because the more he did it, the more he felt relief in his heart. She reminded him of that feeling he held oh so long ago. When he was younger. She made the bitterness in his soul vanish. He kissed her again, deeply but slowly.
Amme smiled and took her's happily. "It smells so good! I could smell the cinnamon from afar. I love that smell so much," she said. "And prunes are basically plums, and you know I already adore that smell," she added. She could see now, but he still reminded her of plums and plum flowers. She took a bite of the sweet. "Ooo, it's really good," she said. She then picked his up and put it up to his mouth. "Go on, take a bite," she said smiling.

(lol i looked up the recipe on Food Network.. they didn't have it ><, i wanted a more accurate thing on it xP)
Eros felt her heart racing ,but it was a joyful feeling that ran through her as she gazed into his eyes before slowly pulling away. "wow..." was all she could could manage. after all eros had never really kissed before now or been kissed.
Atem took a bite while smiling before taking the stick. He chewed and swallowed before smiling at the woman. "thank you this is really delicious." he then began to walk off with Amme "wanna sitt by the river and look at the stars while we eat?"
