Anaithnid I have a quick question. What is the best type of wood for your wand to be made of? I'd rather cut my own than buy one that's pre-made. It depends on what kind of workings you plan to use it for. Oak is usually an all-around good choice. I have more than one wand, and I've made them. Well, not the sparkly "easter egg" on a stick that is really supposed to be a decoration, but I've never used it in any type of a working. One is oak with a crystal point on the business end and a piec of hematite at the opposite end for balance and absorbtion of any surrounding negative energy. That is my power and change wand. It is decorated with symbols and the colors of fire. I also have a positive, loving energy one made out of rose wood that has an amythist point at one end and a piece of rose quartz at the other end. It's decorative elements are lavender. I ahve one other piece of finished oak and a long piece of drilled crystal that I haven't done anything with yet.

I hope that this is the right forum to be posting in!
I was wondering if someone could give me some insight to this 'image', 'dream', or 'vision' thing I've been having. I'm not quite sure how to call it, because in a way it is all three:
Quite often, regardless of whether I'm thinking anything paga-related or not, I get this image in my mind of a young woman and her young daughter [Maybe about seven or eight years old.] participating in things like circles together, just the two of them, or in a coven. Also, they pray together before the child's bedside, the mother smiling in pure joy at how well her daughter prays to the Goddess, each stroffe of her prayer rhyming, etc. Another image with these two is the mother telling her daughter stories of the God and of the Goddess. Another weird thing is that I can practically recite the bedtime prayers the daughter recites. The magick between them [For lack of a better word.] is insane! It's loving, comforting, and I can't help but wish I was that little girl. I can't help but want that vision to come true, in a way.
This image and feeling also comes in my dreams.
I'm not exactly sure what I want to know or find out, but if anyone had a comment or opinion or something on it, it would be greatly appriciated.

How do you do absent tarot readings? I also want to know when doing a reading using the celtic cross spread, should you use the minor arcana or the major arcana, or both? I am not sure.

RainyAndrew I'm trying to decide wether i should look around for a tutor/mentor for wicca. there isn't really anyone that i know around me that is wiccan, so it would probably have to be someone online. should i ask around for a mentor?

If you have chosen to practice Wicca and meet someone who is a devote Chirstian. How do you deal with telling that person?

Express to them your beliefs in a calm, respectful manner, and ask that they be tolerant. If they begin to preach or rant at you, remain calm and respectful, continue asking for tolerance. But if they persist, I'd suggest breaking off the relationship.
Yanno that old saying"you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar"?
Put that into practice. biggrin

alright i wanna hear what all you guys have to say on this, i keep having this dream well the dream itself keeps changing and all but one thing stays the same. there is a black cat, i mean he is pure black not and ounce of white anywhere well he is in all the dreams and his name is Sable what do you guys think?
