Alnara nodded when Hawke had told them to split up. She felt Chief wriggle free from her grasp and slither off somewhere. Alnara shrugged and made her way through the square. Paper...paper...where would she find paper? Maybe she could jst ask for it? How come Hawke hadn't just done that in the first place? Alnara walked around and then she realized that humans couldn't see ghostlings...this was gonna be harder than she thought...Alnara continued to search around, darting in between humans and ghostlings.

Loa stood for a long moment in the alley, her eyes flickering over the street ahead of her. She knew they had been pulled here but how and why were still far beyond her. She reached down and pet Samedi's ears, "we should go see how the others are faring," her gaze moved over the area focusing on a stray ghostling that seemed to be heading toward the park.

Fosull was behind her mother a few feet, she had no idea why they were wherever they were but as she was about time to take a moment for pondering something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. Settling down on the ground the young ghostling used a bit of power to push a dead rat from one side to another.

"Fosull dear, leave the rat alone. We should see who else is here, perhaps see if your brother is around for a visit." Loa's thoughts were far from visiting but she didn't want to alarm the young ghostling with her...yet.

With a sigh Fosull used the last bit of strength her young mind could muster and threw the rat across the alley before moving up to join her mother.

Azshara sunk down into the water her eyes flickering up to the shore and then over to the piers. A slight smile came over her face as she watched one of the living walk along the planks above, the smile was not a pleasant one though. Propelling herself forward with her tentacles she kept her eyes on her prey, all the man had to do was move over to the edge more and perhaps...she could grasp him to pull him down to the depths with her.

Her mind also had wondered over why she was where she was, but until she could find another to speak to she would keep herself amused.

Venus narrowed her eyes as she watched him closely. A mage he said he was... he put little thing like a spell and such on the bag. Venus cocked her head as he continued. A couple strands of her orchid colored hair fell across her face. Then he mentioned a warlock. No he mentioned her warlock. Did he mean her David or more something like an owner or something. "I have David. However do you mean something kinda like an owner." Such a notion of having an owner someone who could boss her around as they saw fit seemed to rub Venus the wrong way. She was her own being... sorta she well she didn't quite understand. She frowned at her thoughts before brushing them away.

She looked up at his smile. She nodded to his statement about the bottles. She'd seen him put quite a few in so she could see where it would get heavy. Venus then nodded to the not quite understanding the nonsense and such but she waited for him to pause before she interjected something about it. "Some goddesses brought some people from a dark world of banishment back here to the world of non-banishment..." She nodded before adding her own name. "I am Venus Erycina." At her back her wings shifted stretching out before closing neatly behind her. The shattering of the glass was ignored by Venus because it hadn't startled her or bothered her at all.

Venus tapped her chin in thought as he asked about a blond Jaina chick. She was pretty and blond. Venus highly doubted she was pretty but then Venus was a major critic of looks so rarely was any female ever pretty and they were most certainly never beautiful. Venus frowned slightly. "No I've not seen your Jaina. However if I do see her I shall come tell you. Would you like me to tell her where to find you if I do see her?"

Hawke had found two sheets of paper when he turned towards Tai who had some in his mouth. With a laugh, he took them from the lore. "I was wondering how you were going to carry it, Tai." He turned and said, "Let's go find Chief."

Then he suddenly stopped, the lore running directly into the back of him. He blinked several times. It was his mother. And his creepy crazy sister. For a moment he thought he should run the opposite direction but then shook his head. She was still his momma. Psycho or not. He walked up behind her. "Momma, they brought you too? We were not sure." he greeted. Then he stuck his tongue out at Fosull. "Shoulda left you there." he smirked.

"Not exactly an owner. A summoner. You help him. I don't know. Does this David do magic? If so there is a chance he's a warlock. And yes, tell Jaina where I am." Kael replied. This was so strange. Surely there was someone here that knew what a mage or a warlock were.

Kael glanced over at the ghostling he had seen running past with the human chasing him earlier. He stared at Percy for a long moment. "Is there something I can do for you?" And he had figured rightly. The boots were far too big on the ghostling in front of him. He should take better care of himself and not go diving into garbage.

Venus cocked her head to the side as she thought over his question. And replayed his entire response in her head. She ignored his change of attention for the blue ghostling was whom he spoke to. Venus shook her head. "I don't know how I came to be honestly. Well how I came to David's side. I'm most sure he is no warlock. Simply because I've never seen him use magic. I do sometimes help him but I doubt he notices. He has one bad self esteem issue... Kinda pathetic actually." She shrugged her pastel purple shoulders before continuing. "If I see your lady I'll inform her of your whereabouts. However would there be anything in it for me? I mean I might just forget without incentive." She examined her nails in a girly fashion and grinned as the red shined brightly.

Loa's gaze went down to the ghostling in front of her, a small not often seen smile touched her lips as she looked down at Hawke. "I have a feeling it has just about everyone," straightening some she looked around the area her gaze pausing on those faces she knew and those she didn't. For a moment she watched a human who's gaze had fallen upon her, but considering the festival he didn't remark but kept walking. Interesting, she hadn't been around a mortal since her change perhaps she would see how accepting they would be. Sighing gently she looked down to her son, "so where is your father off to? And has anyone see Lacroix?"

Fosull narrowed her eyes at her brother, reaching into her pocket she considered taking out one of the stones she kept there and flicking it at his head. For a moment she rolled the stone around between her fingers but then a small grin came to her face, oh no she knew something much better then that. "Well I'm glad to see you as well Hawke," grinning brightly and in an overly cheery fashion the dark ghostling sprung forward and wrapped her brother in a tight hug, "your getting so big and independant."

Jaina used a brush of magic to push aside some shrubs as she started finding her way from a small garden to the park. The whole thing seemed more then just slightly strange and was starting to wear on her nerves already. Her gaze moved down the street looking over several shops before turning toward the park. It appeared that several had already made their way there for a gathering. Frowning some she shifted her gaze around her wondering where the young ghostling that had been following her had run off to, hopefully she would find her in the park.

The young ghostling that Jaina worried over was nowhere near the sorceress, her eyes darted back and forth over the grass as she took in the number of brilliantly colored flowers in the area. Making a playful giddy sound Ember darted into the flowers. Running through the plants she paused from time to time to smell them, not paying much attention to the area around her she soon found herself out of the flowers and next to the edge of the harbor. "Oooo, water!" With another happy exclamation Ember darted down closer to the water to play in the shallows.

Azshara locked her eyes on her prey moving quietly up to the man fishing off the pier. The small wicked smile on her lips as she moves up closer, waiting for the man to step closer to the edge of the pier. Once he is within reach Azshara sends a flash of power through the water making a large tenacle that lashes out to knock the mortal from the dock. With a startled cry the man falls off of the dock down toward the sea witch.

Ember's attention shifted toward the splash of water, all the little ghostling saw was a man falling into the water and a few tenacles rolling over the surface. Her little eyes widened in shock and fear, "it's a sea monster!" Turning quickly Ember runs toward the sounds and lights of people nearby, running into the square she goes to the first person she can find, which happens to be Touma, and almost literally crawls on top of them. Her little voice is loud and shrill in her panic as she cries out to him, "There's a sea monster attacking the harbor!"

Outwardly, the vampire chuckled at Hawke's innocence and devotion to his father, and at once he was compelled to court and capture Hawke like he did in the good old days to shining innocence, like he had Louis and David and many others, including his dark little girl Claudia. He wished he could transform people anew again, and stalk the night like the perfect hunter he was. But alas, Hawke was off limits anyways because he was Valkons. A pity though.

But while he remained calm and collected as always on the outside, Lestat quivered on the inside at the more private set of news that Valkon gave him. Valkon was so wrong. Kita was MUCH WORSE than Loa. Though Loa wasn't someone to trifle with really, Kita had a much more twisted and sick sense of depravity that made himself and Loa look like Benedictine Saints. What was more disturbing about the news though was the severe reprecussions of them finding out how to cross the borderlines. Not to say that the vampire was against going to bust out Chronos, he wanted the youkai back with the group just as much as Valkon for strategic purposes and a mild respect, but he didn't like the sound of Kita and Azmodeus's mess coming back to haunt them. Not to mention the two NEW goddesses in the mixture. This didn't bode well, not at all. He could feel the trouble coming up to plague him again like it always did, and oddly enough felt the same foolish thrill of a challenge awaiting him. Much could be said for the stupidity of men and what it drove them to do, and Lestat was a paramount of that life philosophy of 'leap first, ask questions later and wonder if we were morally right a few centuries from now'. Either way, the vampire reflected on the value of the information he was just given. Leaning over to Valkon in a most conspiratorial way, he decided to put his two cents in on the matter.

"We can't risk Kita and Azmodeus coming to muck things up at any cost, but I too think its a good idea to have Chronos around.....though it's an itching thought in the back of my mind that maybe he CHOSE to stay behind, Valkon.....he's always been loyal to Azmodeus's cause, or was the last I saw of him, no matter how good a man he is or how gifted a crafter.......and these Goddesses......I'm throughly exhausted from being pushed and pulled by 'higher powers that be', so when and if we encounter them, I'm making it very clear this time that we're not to be pulled around like trained poodles on leashes." he growled softly, his tails thrashing with the cruel memories of how Kita and Azmodeus treated everyone around them like pawns, dolls, no....lower than that. As if none of them mattered and their existence was up to the gods whims and fancies. Shaking his head and getting back on track, he let his loathing for the pair subside back into his inner sanctum once more.

"Furthermore, let this 'Watcher' do just that. Certainly he doesn't have enough power to take on ALL of us at once, Valkon. We may not be gods, but none of us from the other side, and even a few from this one, are pushovers. As much as I loathe to say it, we need to find more of the others, including Loa and your other children. It's not a pleasant thought, but Loa IS powerful, and perhaps her magics can contact your crows at least? The best I can do for you is mentally bend the wills of animals from THIS side to do your bidding, since I cannot reach our old home. " he said seriously, subtly offering up his own abilities to sway the minds of others in Valkon's favor. In all honesty he probably could've charmed a human out of some paper earlier, but it was more fun watching Hawke with a look of determination in his eyes while he led the others away. Looking longingly at a group of young adolescent humans, he licked his lips quickly, running his tounge over his fangs. How he wished to use them again. Being around so many living had that affect on him apparently, something he'd have to watch later.

Quanitela's many tail swayed as she walked down the festival looking to and fro at the many different Ghostlings that littered the streets. She wasn't enjoying the exposure and long for nothing more then the crowded and thick forest that she preferred to call home. For the place she lived was never peaceful. A mischievous Charm dragon and a temperamental Poltergeist. Not to mention the kitsune's that flooded the house with they're odd manners. Though there was always something to chase there she had no interest in her adopted family.

Quanitela frowned as she made her way through the town square marking her way to a large fountain that laid desolate for in the festival's excitement the wishing fountain had been temporarily forgotten. She rested on the edge of the fountain and stared at her own reflection on the water that wasn't all to clear because of the ripples. She dipped her fingers of one of her hands lightly into the water and began to play with it.

Percy wasn't the most eloquent of communicators. Elegance had no place in his afterlife, just as it had not in his life. So rather than begin a stimulating conversation about the intricacies of what the magicker had done, all he managed to do was point and inform him, "I want one like that." Of course, his finger was pointing at the magical sack, while his other hand cupped his pouch instinctively. He wanted it, more than almost anything thus far. Which was amusing, considering that's what he'd felt about the pocket watch.

He moved closer, eyes fixed on the seemingly empty sack that contained numerous bottles, more than enough to make it overflow under normal circumstances. The potential for owning such a container boggled the yokai's mind. The shinies he could steal! The treasure he could keep close! After all, who knew when one might need that shiny stick with a flat end? What did those humans call it? Oh yes, a screwdriver. Or that shiny thing with a pointy end. He liked having random shinies on hand for when others needed them. Of course, it didn't hurt his feelings if most ghostlings never really thought to ask him for those sorts of things. He didn't mind keeping shinies. Sharing was good, but keeping was good too.

Priscilla was tired of toys. Their shininess had no appeal whatsoever to her, and she wasn't in the best of moods anymore due to her torn dress. She finally gave a sharp stomp of one of her high heeled boots. "That's it, I'm finished." Oh yes, her lip was pouty and a storm brewed in her lovely eyes. Prissy was not a ghostling of very much altruistic honor. It was all well and good to help others when she was in a fine mood, but let's face it, she had to put herself first! If she didn't, who else would?

She set the toy she held down a little too hard on the table, making the others jump, mussing the pattern she'd carefully created. This didn't help her mood at all either. She scowled prettily and turned to Touma. "I'm going to go fix my dress, or find something else to wear. I can't stand it anymore." With that outburst, she turned crossed her arms grouchily, eyes scanning the street for anything of fabric or sewing that caught her eye. Surely there was some stall for such things?!

In the park, rustling in the bushes and grasses, a lonely white and black rat scampered along. Something was wrong, for his master had not come back. He wasn't a very clever animal, but he did have a sense of certain things, ghostlings being one of them. So he had set off towards the sense of many ghostlings gathered together. Perhaps his master was here somehwere?

There were several of the dead in the park, and he approached them in a roundabout way. This wasn't any sort of survival tactic, merely the twisty work of a rat's brain. He rarely travelled a straight line unless that was the only option. Eventtually though he was within sight of two of them. He scampered up close, stood up on his hind legs, and looked up at them with a squeak. Nope, neither of them was his Percy! Disappointed, he gave a tiny sigh.

Touma blinked in surprise as the little ghostling nearly clambered on top of him. "At the docks?" He glanced over at Priscilla and Davenya then pulled the ghostling off him, handing her to Priscilla. Moving quickly down the area to the pier, he blinked in surprise upon hearing a great deal of splashing. He had been planning to talk to Priscilla and calm her down but this was more important.

His jaw nearly dropped open when he saw her. "What do you think you are doing? Let that man go!" Touma moved to help, his wings moving quickly. He'd have to get wet. A little at least. She'd pay for that. He smacked a couple of her tentacles holding the fellow. "I said let him go!" Now his wings were splattered from the thrashing around. His mask was wet. He was wet. With a growl, he slapped her again as he hovered above trying to pull the fellow free. "I said LET GO!!!!" He knew the human man could not see him and probably felt torn in two, but he was trying to help.

Hawke scrunched up his face, shoving at his sister. "Ewww... get off me!" he growled shoving at her. "Crazy. I swear you are crazy." Moving to the other side of his mother, he said, "Dad's in the park talking to Lestat. They didn't bring Uncle Chronos, Azmodeus, or Kita, momma. And there's some creepy guy running around and pi... ummm... making dad angry." He'd nearly said something else but was sure his mother would scold him for such language. He scratched his head a moment to cover. "He's in a baaaaaad moooood but he knows what is going on."

Then he turned to Tai. "This is Tai Zahra. He's dad's. He found us when we first got here. I'm finding some stuffs for Dad. But I have to find Chief first." Then he pointed to the small crow on his shoulder. "That's Corviy. He's mine now." Petting the bird a moment, he watched his mother a moment. "If you follow that path, you should run smack into Dad and Lestat. I'll be there in a few. Gotta find chief first. Lacroix? Nope. Hasn't been around yet."

Hawke suddenly shrugged as he moved off through the crowd. "He likes being lost. He'll show up. Maybe."

Tai nodded to Loa and then glanced at Samedi after watching Fosull a moment. Then he immediately began to follow Hawke. It was his duty and he took it seriously, but he wondered why they called his mother psycho. She'd really done nothing. Yet.

Kael raised an eyebrow as he leveled a stare at Venus. Her girlish ways were lost on him. He reacted much differently than she probably expected. "You threaten a blood elf prince? I will refrain from frying you. This time. I suggest you tell Jaina IF you see her." Then to make his point, he focused his magic, a small fireball appearing in front of his fingers. It went soaring off to land on a tent on the far side of the area. The fire burst outwards, the flames quickly spreading across that one isolated place. Turning back to Venus, he asked, "Get the point?" Jaina was the only one for him.

Turning back to Percy, he said noting the stare at the bag and the words. "If you want it magicked, then I can do so. But I don't do this for free. If you find anything that I can make potions of like thistleweed or eel's tail, then you bring them to me. If I'm not here, there is a tower east of town. Bring them to me there. Agreed?"
PostPosted: Thu Sep 10, 2009 8:03 pm

Percy spared a glance for the isolated fire started by what was apparently a blood elf prince. He wasn't much worried by the display, as it wasn't directed at him. He completely ignored the girly-girl, as he was beginning to think of her. He had no use for girls. He'd had a close enough call earlier with a girl. No more!

But when the blood elf told him that such magic was not for free, his heart sank. He regretted letting all those shinies fall out of the pouch, for he was not about to give up the pocketwatch. Something was special about it, and he wanted to know what it was before he even thought about giving it up. It was his special shiny. Thus when an alternative method of payment was offered, he nodded eagerly. He could bring things to the tower, no problem. Especially if his pouch was magicked. "Are they shiny?" he asked half hopefully. It was always easier for him to find shiny things, but they didn't sound very shiny. In fact, he wasn't sure what thistleweed was at all! But still, he'd try his best. Having a bottomless pouch that never got heavy would be worth it!
