Kirai and Lanius walked into the ruins, and looking up at the full moon, Kirai closed her eyes for a moment. After a few seconds, Lanius looked at her with his dark piercing eyes, "Are you ready?" Kirai looked back to him, and nodded. Turning around and facing Salazar, Kirai said, "Please stand back during this, unless we need more blood."

""You don't have to tell me twice." Salazar said keeping his distance and sitting on a stone. "If we need any human sacrifices I'll be sure to contribute."

Kirai didn't respond to that last comment, but instead, reaching into her cape and pulling out a knife, walked over to a patch of land a few yards ahead of her. After a few seconds, she confirmed, this is where Edward is buried. The knife she held had an 11 inch blade, was double edged in a shining silver metal. There were symbols and writing going all the way down it, and it curved in and out like a snake. Kirai bent over, and drawing over, made a large circle, adding several markings and slashes across it, which all lead to the center, where she made an outline of a human body. Edward's body, as she saw it in her mind. Making a larger circle around that one, as Lanius watched, she gathered dried up sticks, and saying a prayer after laying them out with several handfulls of loose incense powder spread out, lit them afire.
Lanius stood across from Kirai inbetween the lines of the two circles. It was a calm night with no wind, and the smell of incense and burning wood and decay was thick in the air. The smoke and bright red flames rose around them, covering their figures and illuminating the inside of the circle as bright as day, with every single symbol sticking out as though actual objects upon the ground. Taking out two needles, she crossed into the circle and stabbed the ground in the two places where Edward's eyes would be. She added the symbols of each element, with the symbol for spirit put where the forehead of Edward's was directly under the dirt.
Standing still for several moments, Kirai muttered a few words, Lanius could not tell if she was speaking to herself, chanting, praying, or speaking to Edward.
Kirai, standing straight up again, took the knife and slit her left wrist, letting the blood flow down onto the two needles. Her eyes were locked as the knife slit her white, pale, soft and thin skin, like cutting paper. There was a visible gash, and the blood was almost lukewarm, yet Kirai did not flinch while watching it drain from her arm like dark crimson water, seeing her life drain away no longer had any affect on her. Lanius walked towards her, and taking the knife from her, did exactly what she did. They stood on either side of the drawn body, their blood flowing down their pale skin and glowing, reflecting the light, in a glowing crimson. As the blood drained from their bodies, and it fell onto the ground, and into the earth, it went through and through, until resting upon Edward's bones. Kirai closed her eyes, and feeling some connection from her blood to her body, connected with Edward's, spoke to him through thought, praying he would hear her. Edward, we need you back. Please, please hear me... things have gone horribly wrong. We need you, we all need you. You're friends need you, your son, the world... and I need you, Edward. Edward Grey, please, return to us and help us, just this one last time. Her voice sounded soft and desparate, almost like how it sounded at times before she was killed. Lanius looked at her in shock for one second upon seeing her lips were not moving, because he heard every word she said.

Salazar watched the ritual from a distance. He was interested as well as a bit nervous. Raising the dead was something he was strictly against and something he felt messed with the line of fate. He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "The sooner this is finished the better."

After what felt like hours later, due to the loss of blood, Kirai fell to the ground on one knee. At the same time, Lanius had not slit his wrist near as deep, and so it had stopped bleeding. Kirai could of stopped herself from bleeding so much, she could of healed herself, but she wanted this to be done right, and she didn't want Salazar to become a donor. Finally, when starting to feel faint, Kirai looked at Lanius and said, "Please, go fetch Salazar to have him assist us." Lanius nodded, and walking through the fire as though it were nothing, with, because of the waves of heat, his outline being blurred from the distance Salazar was standing out, walked over to Salazar. There was no sweat on his forehead, although his dark black hair was matted down. He smelled sweet, the smells of blood, incense, smoke, and decay resting upon him. Lanius' eyes were the same as always, and although Kirai was bleeding out, he took his time in walking over to Salazar. "We need you to bleed out a little, if you will."

Salazar gave a deep sigh. "This goes against few moral codes I have. Tell Kirai when this is done I'm not going to let this one slide." He got up and stood next to Lanius. "Lets get this done."

Lanius led Salazar though the fire, which oddly enough did not burn either of them at all. Once standing inside, Kirai was staring blankly, you could tell how much blood she had lost. Looking over at them, her focus came into attention. Reaching down with her right hand, she picked up the knife and gave it to Lanius, who gave it to Salazar, pointing out the cut on his left wrist, indicating what to do. Kirai knew how Salazar felt about this, so it didn't please her at all that they had to ask him for assisstance. However, she also knew that she couldn't lose too much blood, and the blood flow has to be constant, and only the blood of people Edward personally knew. Keeping her head down, she decided to focus on the ground where the two needles were, seeing as the ground was caving in and changing in certain places, in the exact form of where she drew Edward's outline to be. Edward, I am so sorry about this... I apologize, however, I don't honestly think we can defeat or kill Avarice and these other forces without you. Please, forgive me... and forgive me for raising Lanius from the dead, as well.

"At least you two have the decency to let me make the cut." Salazar said as he took the dagger and quickly slit his left wrist. He kept a straight face and let the blood flow from his body onto the ground. He felt disgusted but tried to ignore it.

Kirai felt his disgust, but did not let it get to her. Focusing, she slowly started to let the cut on her left wrist heal. She had lost so much blood, it was healing much, much slower than usual. A little bit of blood dripped down her hand still after several minutes, her eyes went from stareing at the cut to looking back at the needles, then looking through the fire. Her blue eyes, like glass, reflected the fire brightly, as it danced wildly around them. In the fire, Kirai saw the figure of a man standing, cast in shadow. After a few moments, his face and eyes became visible, followed by his body. It was Edward. Kirai took a deep breath filled with the thick smoke which surrounded them like a grey cloud, then breathed out silently, closing her eyes as she did so. With that, the fire all around them suddenly went out, collapsing to the ground and vanishing. The ghost standing among the flames was gone. After that, a strong wind came, blowing the ashes everywhere among and against them, moving in small and large circles upwards like leaves being blown in autumn wind. The ground began to move, being lifted upwards, until a hand reached out. Kirai quickly, as Lanius watched, began ripping away the dirt with her hands. She also removed the needles, pinning them into her dress, before going back to digging away and working quickly, with a very calm and knowing expression on her face, at removing the dirt.

Salazar wrapped his wound and scowled. This depraved ritual bothered him but he wasn't going to let it get to him. After all he was Edward's welcoming party. Might as well save his displeasure till afterwards. "Well that was lovely." he said as he tightened the wrap on his arm.

A large portion of the soil slid away, unseen hands assisting Kirai and comanding the dirt to part. crouching upon a block a short distance away Tornim watched the group, mildly curious as the ritual went on. she didnt get closer, never made a sound or movement to draw their attention.. but she did help the female dig for whatever it was she was seeking. in truth, she didnt even know why she had come.. just a feeling that she had to be here, to see who was under the earth. because.. she did know it was a who, and not a what. resting her elbow on her thigh she inched back, eyes narrowed on the group with uneasy certainty. So.. how do i know you..

Salazar noticed the woman watching them and grinned. "Perhaps this won't have been a bad thing after all." He got up and began to walk up to the girl. "I'll be back in a second, I have a bit of business to see to."

It was clear she was easy when, as Salazar came closer, she started to inch further back along the block.. still deciding if she should remain. curious saphire eyes studied him, Tornim's gaze lingering on his wounded hand as she frowned. she had seen him cut his hand before, but it did not look like a pleasent experiance.. shaking her head she slid off the block, holding her hand out for his as she pulled a medical cloth from her belt pocket. " it will help."
