"We have to go NOW! Erron shouted behind him then looked forward and considered the scenario, there are two exits, the stairs and the way the goblins came in from.

Not thinking twice Erron charges into the center area between the two exits, batting away smaller falling debris "I'll secure the middle ground, GET GOING RIGHT AWAY!"

Selce caught the scroll and studied the staircase upwards. She followed behind the group a bit, and was the last to see Serahk. As he spoke she scrambled towards the front and looked about. "If we go straight through we should be able to make it!" Selce shouted as she tightened her hold on the Tome and Scroll.

She began to move forward and cast a Shield spell upon herself. She followed Erron quickly. "The stairs seem to be the best way out, if we go in with the goblins we may get trapped." She yelled again to be heard over the falling debris and screaming goblins.

"Keep going then, I can catch up from behind!" Erron said to Selce quickly as the rest of the party started running towards the stairs. He ushered her and the rest onward and shouted at the goblins "Get outta here if you want to live!" unsure if they could understand common tongue, with that last act Erron ran back to the front of the party.

You struggle as you and your allies fight up the stairs to attempt your escape. The ceiling chips and shatters, sending massive shards of rock and stone plummeting to the ground from the lofty zenith, crushing groups of fleeing goblins.

Your eyes begin to cringe as they view the full brightness of the light of day. You are not out of danger yet, as the crumbling sound of supports breaking behind you, you rush out from the gaping entrance of the large stone complex. After you have reached a safe distance, you turn to see the remnants of the large castle-like building collapsing in upon itself. As the dust settles, you draw a sigh of relief and gaze upon the wreckage then look to one another.

You recognize the area you are now standing in. It is a small grassland, a good two days march from the human capital city of Haven.

You now have the following options(after conversing with one another):

Travel to the Monastery of Balpheron, a remote church dedicated to the god of all humanity: 16 hour journey.
Travel to Tradewind, a small town based near the Peninsula's Bay: 8 hour journey.
Travel to Gates of Haven, the city gates of Haven: 2 days journey.

Note: All players have now gained one level (9).

Erron looked up into the clear blue sky and breathed a sigh of relief: they had all made it out alive, and they even learned a few new tricks to help them on their way. He pulled out a map and tried to get their bearings "hmmm...I can smell the sea air, so we're obviously not far inland." He tried to place on the map where they were by scanning the horizon for mountains and forests.

He rolled the map up and put it back into the pack. "The nearest major city would be Haven, but its two days away and we're going to need to get supplies sooner rather than later, we should head for Tradewind and get whatever food and tools we'll need...along with some rest" He finished. Laying unconscious in a cell hadn't done any of them a favor and they had all earned a decent meal and a flagon or two ale. They could listen to the locals to see if anything of import was going on in this part of the land.

Erron turned to Selce and asked "Did you learn magic in Haven? I was thinking we could ask someone in the Wizard's Guild if they know anything about our captor."

As the group finally got out, and Prometheus's feet felt the grass, he fell to the ground and ran his fingers through the grass and smell the air as he and nature were once again reunited. Then they started whispering secrets once more.

"I am not very eager to go to a city, so maybe tradewind?" He proposed, still sitting in the grass.

"Well that's the closest town, we should be able to make it there right as night falls" Erron guessed, looking to their ranger for conformation.

The party finished enjoying the cool and fresh air and gathered their things up, and started off to Tradewind

Selce shook her head at the question. "No I didn't but a good idea nonetheless." She decided to leave it at that.

The soon steady thump thump thump as her feet hit the ground. Her eyes soon started to get heavier, and heavier. "I hope we get there soon, I don't know how long I can stay awake." Selce mwntioned in a low voice.

As the group was walking, Prometheus was not paying attention to anything. He was listening to nature as it was whispering to him. Telling him new secrets.

The party traveled for 8 hours, arriving at the metal gates of the Town of Trades, Tradewind. The small city is one of the central areas of commerce for the Crescent Peninsula. All party members are now tired, while not exhausted, they feel the sting of over extension. There are three major sites and locations that can be visited within the walls of Tradewind:

"The Thirsty Haggler" - The finest inn within the city. Home to countless adventurers and merchants.

"Temple of Nidrasil" - The temple of the god of trade and commerce.

"Docks of Tradewind" - The port is by far one of the busiest within the coastal region.

The party walks through the heavy gates of town as they close for the night behind them.

Erron stretches his arms yawning and looks around, inspecting the buildings in the glow of the torches mounted on the sides of the entrance, he turns to the party and looks expectantly at the party and poses the question: "Do we want to split up and explore the town a bit on our own, then meet back at the Inn for dinner and rooms or do we want to eat and sleep first then take a look around the next morning?"

Selce looked at Prometheus and Erron. "Do we have the money to rent a room at the inn?" She asked as she thought to rest and memorize the fireball scroll. " I mean we only have what we found on the corpses since were grabbed." She clarified.

"I mean unless we have to buy provisions to get to Haven." Selce stated a bit sullenly. She barely stifled a yawn and looked up at the sky at the sun. She figured there was a couple hours left before the sun went down completly.

Erron pulls a gold pouch from a place in his Robe and tosses it to Selce "We've roughly 300 gold, our captor should have secured his loot better" Though Erron didn't want to admit that if the wizard had, they would have a much more difficult time getting along after their escapade. "Rooms shouldn't cost too much, Probably 3 gold for the lot of us and neither should sufficient supplies...lest we decide to toast our success by buying a round for the whole town!" He finished with a chuckle. While we're at it, we should identify that mace that our priestly friend got out of the chest.

Erron eyed the mace with skepticism, he really doubted that the Mage had found a powerful artifact and was keeping it in a chest for following generations, The twine seemed much more mysterious in comparison to the sledgehammer shaped weapon, but who knows what went on in the mind of the strange man.... "Great Power within us.... huh, I wonder what he meant" Erron reflected for a moment before shaking the thought off, A Monk's training was not just the way of striving to strike a balance, it was to epitomize balance and perfection within that sphere: Force only when necessary, Flowing like a stream around a rock, and yet being the rock. He felt a moment of regret about snapping that Ogre's neck, though it would have been crushed or trapped in the crumbled ruins if he had not, was it mercy, necessity or anger?

Erron waited Selce's and Prometheus' replies about what to do next: Their other companions had been incredibly quiet through the 8 hour trek and seemed to have a lot on their minds.

Juno rolled her eyes at the robustness of their "leader".

"Look, human, we escaped that old fool's dungeon. I don't need to be coddled or escorted anywhere by a bunch of throwbacks such as yourselves. I'll do just fine on my own. I've lived that way since before you could even wipe the drool from your chin. Whatever that old codger planned for us is done and over with. I'm leaving."

After the thief's wild tantrum, she darted off into the setting sun.

Selce sighed at Juno's words but let her go. "I guess were down a person." She said to the group.

She looked at everyone to notice that Erron was looking at the odd mace tucked in the dwarves belt. "I could look at that mace for you. It seems to have some sort of dweomer upon it." She said to Ronus.

She rubbed her eyes and looked for Juno's retreating back but found she had actually left. She snorted and looked at the monk. "I should hope I have some inner strength, I do cast spells taught to me by my master." She joked to Erron.
