I think I might try to keep my last name. Otherwise, depending on whom (if at all) I marry, my initials might get all screwed up. sad

Yeah , but I also think about complications with my kids names. AS having two is way more complicated than 1, and depending on actual marital status, if you give them their father's last name, getting sole custody in case of extreme marital fallout is harder.
Though it would be nice not to have to change over all your ID's like credit cards, drivers lisence etc. Boys don't have that issue. Lucky dogs.

Yeah, we just take our fathers last name. And ofcourse here everyone uses lawyers to battle everything out and cause alot more problems than there needs to be

They do that everywhere. But it's harder to change a child's last name, as you need both parents to consent to it. And if you're trying to ditch the dad's last name....well...there you go XD
My cousin had this issue when her boyfriend/commonlaw developped late onset schizophrenia. She had the hardest time changing my little cuz's last name, and then only managed it because she got re-married and her husband adopted the little mite. >.< Weird laws everywhere. BUt I guess if you could change things willy nilly, ...stuff could go wrong.
