Serena looked at Helena in embarrassment that was faint across her face, "Ask Chris." She was about to open her mouth to Jay but she was already out, and instead waved goodbye. She looked down the bowl she had. "This bowl here is Aloe gel incase of burns. However, that bowl under your bed, while from the same plant, has some interesting properties.." She moved over to Ratchet and whispered in her ear, "It is a HIGHLY potent laxative. Figured you might know what to do with it. Whispering it since I'm sure the cabin's booby-trapped with cameras and microphones and I don't want that to get out." She repeated this whisper to Billy with the add on, "That is why I don't want anyone from our cabin to touch it okay?" She then smiled to Helena. "Goodnight." Her blue eyes looked to Billy, "Can you get up back into your bed? I'll help you if you want." She smiled holding out her paw to him.

Ratchet smoothed the sheet over Helenas's sleeping form and looked down at her. She didn't seem too miffed about not having her question answered; perhaps the drugs had made her forget it. Oh well, she'd figure it out one day. Kids. Ratchet smiled. Ratchie. Helena was reminding her more and more of her little sisters. She was getting protective of her teammates, and for the team, this was a very good thing. Ratchet wasn't one of those girls who couldn't stand her family; far from it. She was nuts about them, and had honestly been sad to leave them to go to camp. Slowly but surely, she was spinning this team into her surrogate family, and danger to anybody who messed with the Pseudo-Nasmyths. Billy was dropping off, too, and she headed over to the food table. Picking up a crusty piece of garlic bread, she munched on it contentedly and nodded at Serena. The peaceful looking girl was a devious thing! "Hmm... I think we might wanna put that stuff in a water bottle marked 'do not drink' or something; wouldn't want our little painkiller to get messed up in that bowl." And having it in a water bottle would make it less suspect and easier to slip into Chris's food. Or, y'know. The chef's. Somebody's. "We can put the other stuff in a bottle, too, and mark it aloe, so that they don't get mixed up. I'm sure somebody's got an extra water bottle."

Seeing that Billy was not responding, she sighed and moved to pick him up. Wincing from her paws, she carried him over to her bunk bed and laid him down on it. She pulled the blanket over him and smiled to Ratchet. "Guess we're both switching for the night huh?" Hearing her idea, Serena beamed. "Smart idea. I just had to move fast today since I needed some kind of relief." She put the aloe back onto her paws, leaving the aloe bowl under her bed, and sighed a bit. "I hope someone might have gloves I could wear tomorrow for the challenge. If not, its okay I'll manage but it would be easier since after today, I don't think they'll be ready by tomorrow." Ratchet was the first audio she was honestly showing her red paws to. A yawn escaped her. "I promise tomorrow after the challenge, I'll search for more useful plants and herbs. I really could use some sleep though." She made her way over to the bunk that she had seen Billy climb down from, and laid down. "Night Ratchet. I promise tomorrow I'm going to give it my all." At those words, she rolled over to try and get some rest.

((And its bed time for me. Night!))

"Ach!" Rachet said, shaking her head at the other girl's paws. "How'd they get that bad? Don't worry; you can use my gloves. They'll cover your palms but leave your fingers free. And don't worry about tomorrow; worry about getting sleep tonight! G'night, Serena!" she said as the other Audio climbed into bed. Such determination!
There was no way that their team would lose. And then, when they won... they could find a lighter someplace and light Chris's hair on fire. He would know the meaning of the word payback. "I'm gonna stay up for a little longer and nosh; I bet this is better than whatever breakfast will be tomorrow."

User Image For a girl who had faced two tranquilizers that day, Annabel was exceedingly giddy and bubbly. Especially considering her earlier tirades against Chris. And the fact that, you know. It was well past midnight, and any sane camper would be wise to be asleep by now. But no, not Annabel, it would seem. The girl had managed to quietly open the door, but was presently dancing about the cabin, light on her feet as to not wake others, and humming a tune that rang suspiciously of Disney.

When her eyes fell on Ratchet, she seemed to brighten even more than she already had. Annabel was still dancing about, however, the tune getting even more giddy and giggly.

"Would you mind following me outside, Ratchet~?" She asked musically, in a horrible sort of bizarro happy-voice. All in all, Annabel? Being HAPPY? Pretty creepy to the folks who had dealt with her, that weren't Simon. Holding up the box, which was now closed once more, she was grinning from ear to ear.

"I've got a present for you, and it's going to be better with light to see it~! Besides, I think you'll want to talk at a normal tone~!"

And with that, she resumed her dancing and humming, turning on a paw and heading straight out the door.

Very, very bizarre.

Ratchet had dozed a bit by the table, but when Annabel danced into the cabin, she snapped to attention. "What's out there? You got Chris tied up? Here, lemme get the special sauce..." Grabbing the bowl of laxative, Ratchet followed Annabel outside, hoping to be able to spoonfeed the host the blend herself. Shame Jay wasn't around to watch...

User Image "Nope~! It's not the host at all~! I happen to think you'll like it a little bit better!" And besides, even if she had Chris here... well, she wasn't quite ready to sell him out yet. What little ground she'd gained tonight, she wasn't going to be throwing away any time soon- why, with any luck, she could get the Rat b*****d to open up! And that, she'd decided, was worth sticking around this hellhole for.

"Whatever you grabbed, you should go put it back. You're going to want your paws ready for this, I promise." And she was still humming, the box held gently in her arms as though it were the most precious thing in the world.

..Or drugs. It could, very possibly, be drugs, from the way she was acting.

"Better than getting him back for stealing my stuff and putting everybody through hell? What do you have in that box, girl?" Ratchet said quietly. She was quite curious now. What was in the box? Wondering, Ratchet walked back into the cabin and put the bowl back under her bed, careful not to spill a drop. She then turned around and walked back outside to where Annabel was cradling the box. Maybe it was more of that tranquilizer? It might be useful for tomorrow's challenge...

User Image Stilling in her dancing, Annabel shifted the box in her arms so that it'd be more easily opened. Heading closer to Ratchet, she was grinning still. This was amazing. Even better, she'd get the credit for being a hero, and nobody would be the wiser of her midnight meeting with Chris. Why, she might even go back, if it really did put her in this good of a mood!

"I think you'll find it better than getting him back, yeah." She laughed, and finally, opened the lid for Ratchet to see.

And there, inside the now-dubbed box of insanity, were all of Ratchet's missing tools. Stepping back so the mechanic could access them, Annabel resumed her gleeful humming, elated to see the look on her cabinmate's face.

"Tah-Dah~!"

(( And yes, she ICly DOES have them back, now. In an RP that.. only Annabel knows of's existence, Chris gave the tools back to her. ))
PostPosted: Sun Jul 05, 2009 11:57 pm

Ratchet's jaw dropped. Her eyes wide, she turned to Annabel, wordless. She'd NEVER expected to see the tools again, at least not intact, and here they were! She could even see her ratchet sticking out of the box. After an eternal moment of silence, a high pitched "EEEEEE" of the like Ratchet never expected to utter emerged from her mouth as she tackled her box, hugging the tools to her. Digging through the box, she ran through her mental checklist. They were all there! And they looked ok! Clutching the ratchet, she left her tools and backed up, not letting them out of her sight. Ratchet in paw, she threw her arms around Annabel, the "EEEEEEE" finally stopped. "How'd you get them? Where'd you find them? You got them all! Thank you thank you thank you!" She danced around in a circle. She'd never been quite so happy, not even when she won the Junior Mechanics contest at the state fair last year. The manic grin was back; the breakdown from this morning completely gone. Ratchet had her tools back, along with a giant knife, three darts and some drugs, and a pair of horny sock puppets. There was nothing that could stop her now!

User Image She was laughing the second Ratchet began squealing in delight, unable to keep her tail from wagging in excitement. Really, she couldn't have dreamed this better! Keeping her distance as the girl reacquainted herself with her tools, Annabel silently vowed that she'd have to thank Chris for this later. It'd destroy what little pride and dignity she had here, but really? It was worth it. She'd just absolutely made Ratchet's night, from what she could tell, and the rest of the cabin was likely to be as happy.

When the arms were suddenly around her neck, she only slightly bristled, not being used to physical contact. But, then, it was a good time to start; laughing once more, she whole-heartedly returned the hug, still grinning like a madman. As Ratchet began talking a mile a minute, Annabel shrugged in the pretend-I-don't-feel-awesome sort of way.

"Don't worry on thanking me, man! Beavers stick together!" Giving a thumbs up in addition, Annabel continued elatedly.

"They were.." well, hm. How was she going to say this without giving away her tentative friendship with the host?

"Well. Let's just say I did what I had to do for a friend to get them back from Chris, yeah~?" She laughed again at this, more on the fact that she was being sort-of truthful, without giving herself away.

"But really. Nobody does s**t to my cabin and my friends and gets away with it. Not while I'm around, anyway!"

Jay practically skipped up to the cabin, regaining her pace at the front steps. This was an amazing day off and she was looking forward to tomorrow's challenge. Sure, she was getting her sleep a little late, but better late than never! Her main hope was to wake up well-rested tomorrow, ready to win!

She walked over to her bed, looking over at Annabel to check if she needed it. Apparently not. The Audio was just about as giddy as she was! And in good measure, as she saw Ratchet reunited with what looked like her tools. Wow, could their team get any better? Jay snuggled into bed with a smile on her face.

"Night, you guys!" And with those parting words, she was out.

"G'night, Jay!" Ratchet called as she cuddled her tools. Grinning madly at Annabel, tail wagging wildly, she shook her head in disbelief. "I don't know what I can do to repay you for this, but you're dam right! Beavers stick together. We're gonna win that challenge tomorrow as a cabin! And now, I think we should get some sleep... well, at least try." Smiling to make her face drop off, she gathered her tools in her arms and carried them lovingly back into the cabin. Ever-so-carefully, she put them away in her backpack, right where they belonged, and carried them up into the upper bunk where she was sleeping tonight. She wouldn't let them out of her sight!

User Image"Goodnight!" She called as well, too high on cloud nine to particularly care about how loud she was being. Hell, if everyone was happy, what'd it matter? Besides, nobody in the cabin would wake up from that. At Ratchet's comment on the beavers, Annabel gave a very satisfied nod

"Hell yeah, we are! And don't worry on repaying me, man. Let's just go kick some a** on this thing, yeah? Goddamn BEAVER POWER!" She was near throwing her head back and howling at this point, but self respect kept her from waking everybody at this point. Instead, she settled on humming again, following Ratchet back into the cabin.

She'd just barely remembered to swipe the note from Simon's bed before she fell asleep, tucking it into her journal for safekeeping. No sense wasting paper- there might honestly be a day when she needed it again.

Despite the ups and downs of it, it'd turned out to be a pretty damn good day. Closing her eyes as she thought of waves, Annabel drifted into a pleasant sleep.

Maybe she really could enjoy this, after all.

Serena had been sound asleep but not sleeping soundly, as tears ran down her face. She woke up in a panic springing up from her bed, only to hit her head on the ceiling. She muffled her groan behind her paws and almost whimpered at the touch. She looked down and sighed. The burns definitely were no where NEAR healed. In fact they down right hurt. Touching her face Serena sighed. A bad dream. That's all it was. She wiped her face clean from her upset, and moved to carefully climb down from Billy's bunk. She grabbed a fresh change of clothes, and some stuff to wash up with. Now yesterday she couldn't beat her record of 3 minutes. In fact she was up to four! She made a note to try again and raced out of the cabin, heading for the showers once more. By the time she had gotten back it was five minutes. Out of frustration at herself she kicked a rock before coming back in to put away her supplies and dirty clothes. She got aloe rubbed into her paws, and made her way to the Mess Hall.
