Toren looked at Lilith and sighed. "Well, I do not have anywhere else to be. If you do not mind my company, than I would love to join you. That, or at least show her guards to their quarters after I assure them that no one has to run around worrying about their poor princess getting harmed."
"That is, if she cannot keep her guards satisfied," he added absently, watching as the horses finally drew near. There were several females, but he knew immediately which one of them was the princess. Kara wasn't sure who the one woman was, but she knew for certain that the slender, stunningly-beautiful woman next to the young man was the queen. So was the young man Prince Jerome?
"Baey, keep close, will you?" she whispered anxiously.
Baey nodded and watched as the princess pulled her little mare to a stop in front of the three vampires. He thought she was doing fairly for never having spoken to a vampire or seen one for today.
Kara took a deep breath to calm herself and then dismounted skillfully, landing lightly on the soil and then brushing off her skirts and smoothing her hair with a pleasant smile for the queen. "Your majesty," she said with a courtsey, "my name is Kara Leinn."

Lilith smiled at Toren. "Whatever your wish Prince Toren. You are more than welcome to join." And as the sound of horses grew closer, she straightened up and watched the arrival. As a young fair-haired girl dismounted and introduced herself, Lilith took a deep breath and stepped forward. Giving a curtsy in return, she grinned. "Lady Kara, please allow me to introduce Queen Magarette and Prince Toren. I am Lilith, Royal Advisor to their Majesties." Hands clasped in front of her, the Romanian accent in her voice gave her a nice charm. Nodding to the guards in respect, she looked to the Princess. "When you are ready, a tour of the castle is in order. I assure you, nothing will come of harm while you are in these grounds, so your guards are welcome to rest and take their horses to the stables." Her smile flawless, the grace Lilith had even under a nervous stature was impressive. Using her hand to signal to the entrance, Lilith grinned, her voice quite pleasant. "Princess, would you like the Grand Tour?"

Toren was pleasantly surprised by the calm princess and by her polite demeanor. "Your majesty," he said with a slight bow in reply. "It is a pleasure to meet you."
"I will join you two later," he said somewhat sadly. "I will show your guards to their quarters. You will have no need of them while you are looking around the castle," he assured Kara.
"Mother, if you will excuse me. Guards, this way, if you please," Toren added.
Kara smiled at the queen and her youngest son. So this was the crowned princes' brother, where was he? She nodded and held a hand up to silence Baey when he tried to protest against leaving her.
"Baey, I can protect myself if need be. I'm sure that a short time away from my guards will do no harm," Kara said soothingly.
"Yes, of course, Mi'lady. We will follow you, sir," Baey said uneasily, tucking his wings up against his back tighter.
Kara nodded with appreciation for Baey to see and then looked back at the vampires. "Miss Lilith, I would be most pleased to join you," she said with a warm smile. "It would be very nice to see the castle."

Lilith gave Toren a smile as he walked off with the guards, as she directed the princess over to the ((if you're looking front on)) right hand side of the castle. "Please, if you'll follow, we'll go through the gardens before it gets dark." And smiling, she walked the way she gestured. Fireflies had started to come out already, and the lights in the garden were coming on, basking the whole area in a pale light. Lilith loved it out there at night, it was her favourite place to be. Walking around the corner, hand folded in front of her, she looked up at the second story, wondering what Jerome and Tsuzuki were doing.

Kara nodded at Baey again and then she smiled reasurringly. "Of course," she said to Lilith.
She gave the queen a tentative, uncertain smile and then followed the young woman towards the castle. Kara couldn't help but think of home when she saw the little fireflies starting to float around the garden. She held up her skirts slightly to step over a small puddle of mud as they turned the corner. Already she knew that she would spend most of her time in this garden from now on.
Kara frowned with concern when she saw Lilith's unhappy, yet curious, gaze up at the castle. "Is something wrong, Miss Lilith?" she asked hesitantly.

Lilith turned to the princess with a soft smile. She was good, and she didn't seem threatening. "Just hoping everything is going like clockwork." And she fell back to walk in time with the princess. She was a bit taller than her, but not by much. Chuckling, she turned to the princess again. "You will get to meet his Highness Jerome at dinner tonight. The banquet will be delightful, i made sure of it." Her Romanian accent didn't falter; being around a human wasn't that bad. Even if she could smell her blood and it was a little distracting. Turning to walk to the fountain, it was a few seconds of silence before they reached it. "This is one of my favourite parts. It's absolutely stunning during the day and in spring, the cherry blossoms float over the water." Her voice was dreamy, happy memories filling her head. Lilith still wasn't too sure what to talk about, but tried her hardest. Walking to a well-lit entertainment pergola, she turned to the princess. "What do you think so far?" She asked as the light made her hair dance, her porcelain skin glowing.

Kara nodded with understanding when Lilith answered her question. She sighed. "I'm sure that it will be wonderful," she said meekly, curious about the girl's accent.
Kara admired the beautiful fountain, walking forwards to touch the water just barely with her fingertips. "I'm looking forward to that sight, at least," she said quietly.
"I think that it is very nice," she replied. "And I also think that I have nothing decent to wear to your banquet. All of my nice clothing is back at home. I only have a few dresses to wear. I have shawls and gloves and slippers I can wear with a dress if your castle has a spare dress I might borrow just for your banquet. I apologize for this," Kara said quietly.

Lilith smiled softly. "Well, there are some nice dresses in the closet in your room Milady. I hope there's something suitable in there." And noting the growing dark, she turned to the fair haired girl. "We'll have a better look tomorrow, it really does look so much better in the day. Plus, it's far warmer inside." And she laughed lightly. She really was trying so hard to find things to talk about, and she began to hope Toren would join them. Walking over to the door that led back inside, Lilith held it open. "I'll show you around down here, then where your chambers are. This way, you won't get lost." Her bright blue eyes glittered in the light from indoors. It was easy to get lost in the castle. Oh yes, Lilith herself had been lost many times in there before. Closing the large doors behind them, she began to wonder about Jerome and Tsuzuki again.

Kara could tell that the vampire was kind. She just hoped that she would keep on her good side. "Thank you," she said quietly. "I would enjoy that," she said when Lilith told her that it was warmer inside.
And she could tell that the girl was distracted. Kara didn't know what to say. All she knew was that she was a stranger here, and that she most likely was not welcome. She jumped when Prince Toren spoke.
"Ah, Lilith, there you are. What did I miss? Can I be of any help?" Toren asked curiously.
((Sorry it's so short. I have to go soon. Maybe one more post for me. And my computer's not working well, so I'm not sure how long it will be before I can get on again.))

Lilith smiled when she saw Toren. Hopefully now there might not be any awkward silences. She relaxed a little and gave a thankful smile. "I was just about to show her Highness around the first floor. Maybe you could give some extra information." Walking slowly over to Toren, she stood near him as she unfastened her day-cloak, folding it up as she draped it over her arm. Her black strapless gown hugged her curvy figure well, and Lilith's blue eyes looked from Toren to Kara. "This is a really nice place to live. I'd be homeless if her Majesty Magarette hadn't taken me in."

Kara kept herself quiet. She didn't want to be a nuisance, so she tried to hold her tongue.
"Yes," Toren said with a heavy sigh. "Extra information..." His voice trailed off and he ran a hand through her hair. "My mother is a very kind, caring woman. She does more than most people think she should. Even Jerome gets irritated with her knack for taking in people and caring for them."
"Mother takes care of her family first, and then she will always care for her people just as well," he commented absently. "Would you like me to take your cloak, Lilith?" he asked politely. "Oh, and Kara, how was your journey?" he asked.

Lilith looked at her cloak. "Oh this? It's fine." And she shrugged, turning to Kara to hear her answer. She stole a glace at the grandfather clock nearby. 6.15. Dinner was at 7, and there was a half an hour gap for everyone in between. "Yes Kara, how was your journey? Forgive me for not asking sooner." A light blush crept to the vampires cheeks, her blue eyes not really looking at anyone know.

Kara flushed with embarassment. "Oh, that...I suppose that you could say it was interesting. I don't wish to talk about it here, really," she said feebly.
Toren nodded and sighed. "Of course. This way, your highness," he said quietly. "The kitchen is behind that door, and the dining room is there," Toren told Kara, pointing out the rooms to her. "They say that my father used to sit outside of the dining room to protest a meal that didn't feed him well enough," he said with a grin. "He was much to polite to do such a thing, though. It's a servant's rumor."
"And this way is the ballroom," he said when he saw that Lilith was distracted. "Lilith, if you have something you need, just say the word and you may leave," he said slowly.
((Gotta go, sorry! I'll try to get on tomorrow if I can))

Lilith turned to Toren, blushing a little more. "What? No, it's all good. I offered to give the tour and i'll see it out to the end." And she grinned shyly. Sure, being around a human for the first time in, well, a long time made her nervous. But this human was really kind, she didn't seem dangerous. Lilith fell into step next to Toren. "I was only concerned with time. I want to make sure her Highness had time to herself to settle in before dinner." And she bowed her head to the princess. "The ballroom is a marvellous place. Maybe soon we should hold a ball in your honour Kara. What do you say Toren? A night of fun and dancing." A smile danced on Lilith's full lips as she looked at the two, walking a little in front now.

As Lilith took the princess off to tour the castle, Margarette made her way to her room. When she arrived, she immeadiately began getting ready for dinner. As she combed her hair in front of a mirror, she said to her personal assistant, that was always with her when she chose clothes, did her hair, make-up and so on (She was like her make-up artist, or fashion designer), "That light hair...I really detest light hair." Of course most vampires were dark haired, she only wished that the human could have dark hair, at least brown or red. But blonde was as light as it got, other than white, like Tsuzuki. But the real situation was that she didn't want light-haired grand children. She didn't want light-haired princes and kings and so fourth. She really didn't have anything against the princess' hair itself, just the thought of a vampire, even half vampire with light hair.
After Margarette combed out her hair, he personal assistant, named Helen, began to fix up her hair, and change her make up to match the dress the queen was going to wear. After her hair and make up was made perfect Margarette changed into her dress for tonight. It was an elegant, red dress, that shone in the light.
