Jade was blushing at what Adin had said as she and he had walked back into the room. She was praying that Leah wouldn't notice. She gently tugged him to her bed, she wanted him to be included in the conversations that Leah and her were going to be having, plus, she enjoyed his closeness to her.

Adin sat down near Jade still smiling, " Uh hey Leah, i'm glad you're okay"
She looked at Jade then back towards Adin" Yeah hehe.. umm Welcome back guys, everything going okay with you two? " she grinned at Jade.

Jade was quick to answer, "Yes, yes, fine!" Her cheeks were still red.

Leah laughed " okay then "
Adin smiled then winced, his head was starting to hurt badly again like getting hit all over again. " ow.." he whispered to himself.

Jade noticed that he was in pain. She looked at him with tenderness in her eyes and said, "Lay down, you should get some rest." She placed her hand on his cheek, and kept her gaze in his eyes, which were just as green as hers.

He nodded and looked into her eyes then looked away, He got up and went towards his bed and stumbled and tripped onto his bed, with his body and face flat against it, and he fell asleep like that. Leah managed to giggle while watching him do this.

Jade shook her head lightly as she smiled at the scene she had just witnessed. She turned back to Leah and began apologizing for her maniac family and them holding her captive like that. She was even more glad that she and Adin managed to get to her in time, especially since she knew how Lythias never kept a prisoner in the dungeons for more than one night. She kept that last statement in her mind, where it belonged.

Leah smiled and was about to reply as a knock came on the door. The healer opened it and stepped outside. He was out there for a few long moments then came back in with his eyes opened in shock preparing to give Leah a grave message.. He walked over to her slowly. " Leah.. i'm afraid to tell you this but something awful has happened.. Your father was.. " the healer looked down " murdered." he finished the sentence then left the room, The healer had known Leah's father for a long time, this was sad depressing news to him. Leah's jaw dropped open at the awful news.. she was lost not knowing how to react, her eyes filled with tears. She looked at nothing, lost in the moment.. and thoughts.

Jade was mortified at the news. She couldn't shake the feeling that her own father had something to do with it, she didn't put it passed him. She ran over to Leah and held her in her arms, repeating, "I'm so sorry," it was ironic how, she was just apologizing for one thing, and now she's doing so for another one.

Leah started to cry now. She hugged Jade, she couldn't say anything or do anything else for the state of being that she was in now. " I-i i should of st-stayed and went back to him.. this ne-never would of happened " she continued to cry softly. Adin woke up alarmed at this his head was still hurting and he'd only been asleep for a half hour or less. " What Happened?!?" he got up and ran towards them.

Jade replied through telepathy, she didn't want to repeat the awful news, "Leah's father had an unfortunate end. He was murdered."

what.. no, no, no, no! he hit his hand against his forehead. " OW " he winced and closed his eyes for a moment then got up and hugged both Leah and Jade. poor Leah.. do you think your father murdered him?

"Of course that's what I'm thinking...but I don't want to say so to her, I'm sure she's hating me enough as it is. Her life was fine, until she saved me. It turns out, I'm a lot more trouble than I'm worth..."

" we have to go find him... what if he's after Leah still or after you. We need to stop him" He looked towards Leah who eventually stopped crying, and went to lie down, but hadn't said a word at all.

"Not so fast there! You're still wounded, and as far as she and I go, we need a moment, to at least, I don't know, catch our breath as well."
Jade moved away from Leah as she laid down. She ran her hand gently over Leah's forehead, before continuing, this time, outside of her thoughts, "Besides, we don't really know that it was him. I mean, I do think it was, but," she shook her head and then continued whispering, "We just don't know." Her back was now to Adin, she was hoping that, for once, just once, that her father had nothing to do with someone else's misfortune. Although, it seemed highly unlikely, as it always did.
