Sue returned to the encampment first, her kill slumped over her shoulders. It was much to her pleasant surprise that the Watchman, Leon had already made a fire ready while he was resting beside his steed Anri. The Nomad Trooper at last laid the fallen deer down... loosening her burden and also allowing Andre some much needed relaxation. "You... know how to roast it, I assume?" she asked him.
"Sure do, Nomad Trooper... er... I'mean Sue." Leon corrected himself. It had been a while since he'd had his training to live in the actual wild if need be, but he remembered it like it was yesterday. It had been pounded into his mind so that he never forgot. If you forgot these tips to surviving in the wild, the streets would eat you alive. That's what the Captain said.
He wasn't surprised that Sue already skinned the large kill. Nomads knew what they had to do, their lives were the wilderness. Using his javelin as a 'stick', he started to turn and roast it, almost effortlessly. He shouted to the group proudly. "This be our first beast o' the feast, m'comrades! Just as soon as it be good 'n brown, we dine!"
"Real food will be nice... won't it?" Sue sighed as she leaned against Andre, talking to no one in particular, although she was welcome to say anything to anyone whom answered. She wasn't in the mood for the silence that drove her mad. She wanted to know that everyone here hadn't forgot they were human.

A young fighter looked at his new discovery; An encampment full of able-bodied people. The tan-skinned boy slowly approached the camp for a better view. He could tell there were less people than there should have been just by the ratio of people verses lodgings. Faster and faster, Sinder neared the camp, careful to stay out of sight. Being new to this land, it was hard to tell who was friend and who was foe.

"Real food huh..?" Ephraim pondered, turning his head slightly to look behind him before his eyes averted back to the darkness in front of him. "We gotta do what we gotta do" muttering quietly. "Besides, I"m sure the others dont' want us coming back as just skin and bones" Ephraim joked, hoping to lighten the mood a little since the tension right seemed....a little.....uptight even with Leon keeping everyone's spirits up.

Canas's song felt so much like a lullaby. The young lord was struggling to stay awake, mostly out of worry that he would not see Ninian again the next time he opened hs eyes. It was a fierce struggle, but the song defeated Roy. As his eyelids drooped, he heard Ninian's words and nodded slowly, yawning a little.
"Thank you...Mother..." he mumbled, laying back down.
He saw Ninian start to fall from exhaustion and stuck his arm out sleepily to make her fall into slumber a little safer. He closed his eyes and soon fell asleep.

Sue heard Ephraim speaking, talking to him in order to keep him at least awake and alert. The nomad herself couldn't sleep, but she was exhausted. It must have been the anxiety from being forced from her home yet again, the uncertainty...
Everyone here must have felt it. "Ephraim... I don't think they'd want to see us like that. Besides... we need our strength if we're to rescue those whom have been captured. We will-retake Eyris... I swear it by Father Sky and Mother Earth."

Ephraim blinked, turning his head to the group "..I was..only joking.." well that surprised him just a little. But at the same time he can understand the tension they were going through after what just happened and no blame could be put on them at all. He sighed, resting his chin on one hand and picked up a stick just to randomly start scribbling around on the dirt. Of course they were going to re-take Eyris, there's no way any of them are going to accept defeat like this.

Blossom could hear everyone's footsteps, the faint strains of their speech... it was getting her nervous. She clasped her hands together and kept walking, eventually going into a pacing sort of direction, slowly following the same footfalls over and over, keeping an eye on the immediate area. With everyone moving around, it was hard to tell which noises were allied and which were enemy. She couldn't focus on any one thing people were saying in the near distance, so many people were talking.
"I hope everyone's going to be okay," she whispered, gripping her scarf in both hands. She focused her eyes on the city of Eyris in the distance, then turned a little towards where she assumed Fefga's manor would be. Let them all be okay, please...! The ones that aren't here, they have to be okay!

"A joke eh? Maybe you should be a bit more serious sir." Walking a bit closer, after hearing about him saying he was joking, yet then got a bit confused. "Wait, joking about what?"

The curious brown eyes of Amara Kaua-Aelfgar slowly began to open. She yawned as she sat up, disorientated as she blinked repeatedly. Where was her mommy? What happened since she safely drifted off to sleep? How much time had passed? She forced herself to stand up but immediately fell over again, Alihi's cloak still bundled tightly around her. After a bit of wiggling and adjusting, her feet were freed from the wrappings that her mother had made for her.
And so, the bundle of green with red hair walked around a bit, searching for her mother. The search wasn't that hard, really, but something else immediately distracted her.
From a distance, the sky lit up with a purple light. Her eyes widened and she turned, looking around at the others before releasing an arm from the wrappings and pointing in the direction of the light. "What's that?" She asked to anyone who was paying attention.

"You'll never take her from me, thieves! Never!"
Voices floated in and out of her dreams, hovering in and out, not entirely clear.
"Look out!!!"
She couldn't see anything, but she could hear. It was dark, but . . . was something falling?
Now... Now they will die.
She woke up with a jolt, those last few words repeating themselves over and over again. She couldn't have been asleep for long. She sat up quickly, the warning ache returned in full force. Something was coming, and it wasn't friendly.
"Something's coming!" she cried, panic coloring her voice and causing her words to shake.
And then, somewhere off in the distance, she heard an explosion. Turning her head, she saw the glow of an unnatural purple light. Her heart sank.

Leon heard Ninian's shout that something was coming, and he mounted Anri almost as quickly as he heard the dancer's warning. "Ev'ry 'un! Get yer weapons ready! Our enemies are interruptin' our mealtime, it looks like! M'watch group! Get 'n front! Prepare for an ambush, it be comin'!"
Leon shouted orders to keep the group in the safest and most defensive way possible. He already had his poleaxe drawn and ready for battle... and was now without a Javelin thanks to it being used as a roasting tool. This was perfect, just perfect... of course that thought was a sarcastic one. His roasted kill that Sue brought him was still resting where it hung above the fire... between two large twigs that had a "Y" shape. He wanted to finish quickly, he was hungry!
Sue heard Ninian's call as well, as she was close to the Ice Dragon. Drawing her Killing Edge, the Nomad Trooper already put herself on high alert. She listened around her. The sounds of nature weren't present, so that meant that something was wrong. The green-haired young woman found herself still and calm... not mounted, but still calm and ready to lunge at the first signs of danger.

Hearing Leon's shout, Ziaram drew his killing edge, and went to join the group. This should eb fun.

Blossom instinctively shrieked as she heard an explosion, focusing her eyes on the direction of Fefga's manor. It was dark outside, but she could easily see the blast of purple light. Blossom's eyes widened. What in the name of Elimine could that be? Was something attacking Fefga's manor?
Or is it the other way around?
Blossom ran over to where she could hear Leon, pulling her sword off of her back as she moved. She gripped the hilt tightly in her hands, finding herself relaxing as the others gathered. Good, a group. No one was fighting alone. "What do you think's going on?" she asked nervously.

"'Splosions that away!" The Lieutenant suddenly pointed his axe forward, still making sure that the ones whom agreed to watch over the FEFers were in the front. "March quickly, but don't be makin' a lotta noise now! We ain't gonna be givin' ourselves a'way!"
"How will you give orders then?" Sue asked. She eyed the ones lagging behind, mainly those too weak or injured to fight. They should stay behind, really...
"I'll fig'ure somethin' out, Nomad Trooper Sue." Leon answered her calmly before he kept pointing his favorite poleaxe forward. "Ev'ry 'un! Forward! We'll be stoppin' the menaces headed our way!"

Jin's eyes narrowed at the purple display off in the distance. Whoever it is, they sure do lack subtlety...
"It's magic..." Jin said, staring in the distance. "It's... VERY strong for me to sense it here."
He turned in Alihi's direction. It was unusual, asking for orders from someone, but hey--if she was good enough to save Elibe, that was all Jin needed.
"Alihi. Your orders?"
