Private Altair, Gabriel: Making return from Equipment Placement:
As the mongoose bounded back towards the firebase the two occupants saw that they were in fact the second to last to return, but considering the storm that had come and past and their only auxiliary equipment was their suits and the mongoose, they had done well just to make it back to base without being frostbitten. Now, having turned the mongoose back into the 'pen' near the lift from the vehicle bay, Altair dismounted and slammed a fist into the back of Private Daughtrieve to wake him up and point him in the direction of the barracks, before himself making headway to the mess, cold weather didn't make him drowsy, not by a longshot, it made him hungry.
When he made his way into mess he checked for his squad's updates on the upper right-hand side of his visor and saw that he was listed for an eight hour rest before replacing his fellow squadmates on the walls as sentries. Giving a slight nod to his placement he started to take in his food, until he realized his shift would be starting in the next two hours, which left him no time to sleep after riding out into the storm. Regardless the soldier just shrugged his shoulders back and worked into his meal.

Private Lance Sikes Status: Dizzy Location: North of Firebase. Destination: Forerunner Structure
"Approaching gap!" said the driver as everyone took hold of something. The driver then increased his speed up to eighty. He was passing up several warthogs that was slowly increasing there speed. As he neared the leader they reached the gap. "Hold!!! On!!!" said the driver as they flew off the other side of the gap and towards the other one. Akari turned to look at the other warthogs as they went over too. The sight was sorta cool to him as the landing impact slammed Akari's head into the metal bar that kept them in. Akari was close to getting knocked out. But instead got him dizzy.
"Where am I?" said Akari as he stop his head from spinning with his hands. The driver then slowed down a bit to stay behind the leader. Akari felt weak as he leaned on the bar to rest a little. It helped to take in some cold air thought Akari as he felt a bit better. "Were close to the structure now." said the driver as everyone got ready.

PFC Joseph Xon UNSC Amnesty of God Aboard a Warthog
"What do you think we're hunting for?" said the Marine driver "I don't know but I think my leg is getting numb." said one of the marines in the back seat. Joseph looked at the ground seeing it's slippery and cold surface. He looked around and noticed that the marines was shivering, so was he. One of the marines in the back tapped Joseph in the back of his head and said, "Hey, why don't you talk?" Joseph looked back and shrugged. He was a silent type and usually never talked.
The warthog bounced around and titled as it was going to fall off every while. Joseph looked at the gray sky and looked back down at the "glassed" surface. Joseph saw a few other warthogs bouncing around near the warthog he was in. Being in a vehicle in this conditions was very dangerous, any minute it can tip over or flip in the air.

>> NAME: Hammer, Michael R. | UNSC NAVY O-5 >> North of Alpha Base [HARVEST]
It was dusk now, slowly the light was fading away. Hammer saw ahead using the binocular mode in his helmet, the structure very clearly. There was a opening in the cliff side. He them saw around the opening what seemed to be a metal framing with patterns he had seen before. And the blueish glow was showing in some random places. He then saw as they got closer the obvious signs of the Forerunners. He then noticed that the ground had changed, it was snow covered rocky surface anymore, it was more of of a solid metal like surface. It had the same structural design, he looked to right to see a large wall also. "We are here, slowly stop." The warthog gradually came to a halt after 200 or so meters. The ones behind also came to a halt. Hammer jumped out, walked forward in front of the warthog and looked upon the entrance way of the Forerunner structure. "Excellent."

Corporal | Carlson, Alexander Harvest | Forerunner Relic
He stared it for a while, in amazement. The doorway looked spectacular, and the inside looked even more brilliant in design. He walked to side of the Commander. "Commander? We need to set up camp before it really does get dark sir." "Why yes Corporal, we do." Hammer took out his PDA and gave out the order to set up camp around here. Carlson then starting helping with the tents, supplies and giving the odd order to a lazy private.

Corporal Oleksy Lebenov Location: Camp, just outside of Forerunner Relic Status: Cold, Standing watch on west side.
Oleksy coughed lightly into his hand, accidentally inhaling the condensed vapor on his balaclava. He let his rifle hang from a strap while he occasionally warmed his hands. The soldier wished for a moment that they had a scorpion with them, so he could stand by the engine and stay warm while the camp was being set up.
As his eyes panned about he saw something partially buried in a snowdrift. Walking over and kneeling down he saw the dilapidated butt of an MA5 sticking up, and also the ragged remains of a UNSC marines' combat uniform and some remains of another variety, preserved by the cold. Apparently corpses still littered the place from the numerous battles for harvest in the past.
"Poor b*****d, I don't know what would be worse, dieing from plasma or freezing to death on this ice ball." The corporal said, still kneeling next to the body.

PFC. Jackson King Location: Driving
"How'd I get suckered into this?" Jackson muttered as he drove the warthog near the front of the column. "Damn Aliens!" He called out, fishtailing wildly. Cries of protest came from the marines in the back. "Eh shat up. I could kill us all!" He called out in his Irish accent. The Marines simply shut up and glanced at each other. Jackson left as he swore he heard one piss his pants. "Ah nothing like scaring a Marine."

PFC Joseph Xon Near Target
The two marines in the back of the warthog was jumping around and was being childish. With them moving around the warthog leaned from side to side making Joseph a bit scared. Joseph looked back and saw them playing around with their guns, they was clashing them together as if they were fighting. The driver said, "Hey! You drunks, stop fooling around back there, it's hard enough for me to drive on this road." The two marines looked at the driver and then sat down. Joseph as usual didn't say anything and kept silent in the co-driver seat.
The warthog started to slow down as they started to see blue patterns on metal frames. The sky was starting to turn more dark and most of the light disappeared. Joseph looked up as he saw the big structure and thought it must be what they was looking for. Joseph saw that the surface was more metallic then snow now. The warthog slowly stopped as it joined with the rest of parked warthogs. Joseph and the rest of the marines hoped out of the warthog.
The two marines that was playing around in the back continued to play around as they hoped out of the warthog. Joseph sighed and knew he had to clean up their mess if one of them get hurt.

Private Lance Sikes Status: Bored and freezing Location: Forerunner Structure
Lance and his squad was the first's to arrive with the commander and corporal. Quickly they jumped out of the warthog's rear as the squad ran up to the corporal. They were ordered to make camp at the site. Lance couldn't believe that they were gonna sleep out in the cold. But a marine had to be tough so he might as well try for the first time. Quicky Lance help unload the tents from the trunk of the warthog and placed them next to the entrance. Several warthogs were arriving and unloading and following orders. "Delta squad! Get your asses over here and set up camp!" said the sergeant as Lance and the others ran over to where the tents were and started setting up camp.
A few minutes later the squad was done setting up camp as they rested. Lance noticed the sky already dark now. It got even more freezing then when the sun was out. But atleast it wasn't snowing anymore thought Lance. Slowly he sat down leaning against the wall of the structure. It was smooth and wasn't really cold. Lance admired the structure since it was really different from other metals. He remembered that the covenant was really into the forerunner structures. He didn't know why. Nothing much is known about these structures anyways thought Lance. It is most likely that the covenant will attack the marines at night. They would probably do anything to get their hands on the forerunner relics. So Lance decided to keep watch as his squad rested.

Edwards, Daniel | Major UNSC Amnesty of God Harvest | Outside Forerunner Structure
A uniformed man stepped off the back of the Commander's warthog, of course he had the cold gear version of his uniform. He walked around the warthog looking down at the GPS he had, it was fuzzy and glitching a lot. The Information was coming from the scans of the surface by the Amnesty. Edwards questioned where they were, and why the stopped here until he looked up. "Holy sh---." He was stopped what he was about to say when he noticed the Commander right beside him, looking at the Forerunner structure like a statue. The major walked forward in awe, amazed by the share beauty of ancient structure in bedded in the side of the cliff. He didn't realize it until he was at the entrance way, that he had been walking for a good 10 minutes. He looked back to see the lights on people's shoulders, from the warthogs moving around to surround the camp to give more light to the marines at work. He thought he better get back, so he jogged back. About halfway he tripped on something and fell face first. He was knocked out for a good two minutes. As he woke, he felt his face had already gone almost numb. He then remember what happened and looked at what he tripped on. The angry face of a dead Sangheili Zealot looked straight at him and he scampered back in fright. He got a hold of himself and stood up brushing the snow off. He then, again, jogged back to camp and noticed that the busyness was dying down and everyone was starting to settle down in tents. He then saw where the Commander's tent was and entered in cautiously. Edwards saw him working away on something. He sat on a nearby chair.

Journal entry: 7th of Last Sun.
Today I saw great vessels in the skies. They were not organic and irregular like the Aliens. These were blocky and symmetrical, chunky, simple, human. They have come back to our world in search of secrets that should remain buried. The Elders believe that we should not worry. By hiding and living we have evaded them thus-far. It is only fitting that we remain in shadow, keeping out of sight. I watched them built their structures today. We know this world. We can easily keep the winter at bay and remain hidden. They walk about in their grey and green clothing and armor. Their buildings and vehicles stand like dark blots on the perfect landscape. They defile this place. It was they who brought the end of the world. They have no right to return.
They cannot find us. Through searching or through their scans. We hide. We Adapt. And we are fluid. I will watch. I will wait. And I will act on the will of the Elders.

Private Lance Sikes Status: Tired Location: Forerunner Structure
Lance was having a goo sleep as the sergeant came into his tent. "Get up private!!!" yelled the sergeant as Lance as he quickly got out of his tent and stood up. "Reporting for duty sir!" said Lance as he saluted. "Get yourself ready and gather with Delta!" said the sergeant as he walked away. "This sucks..." said Lance as the cold wind woke Lance up. Lance then yawned and started to stretch. After stretching he grabbed his helmet and weapons and quickly wore them. He then placed his MA5C on the weapon magnet on his back. After yawning one more time Lance then jogged over to where his squad was already gathering. "Prepare yourself and wait for orders! We will be going to the structure once the commander has given orders." said the sergeant as the squad walked off to do something to keep them busy.
Lance then suddenly herd his stomach growl. Which made him feel hungry. Lance then made his way over to the large tent that had a large table. He grabbed some food from the storage and sat down an ate. The food was really cold since the weather was cold. But the food was made for the cold weather so it was suppose to be cold. Lance then quickly finished his breakfast and walked out towards where is squad mates tents were put up. Everyone was sitting at their own tent talking to each other. Lance then walked over to his tent and sat in his chair. "So how you guys feeling about going inside the structure?" asked Lance as the marines looked at him. "Since were probably gonna fight in there. That means some of us are going to die..." said one of the marine. "Were Delta squad! We are one of the best. We aren't going to die!" said Lance to cheer up his squad.

Hammer had privately had a small breakfast, to be at hundred percent for that day. He walked out of his tent quite casually, looking around at the soldiers getting ready for the day. He headed to the north end of the camp, knowing that there should be a warthog waiting for him.

PFC Joseph Xon Forerunner Structure
Joseph slowly woke up when he heard a sergeant yelling at a private a few minutes ago. He slowly strapped on his gear and was no so excited about this mission. He will eventually have to treat someone with frost bite or something related to the cold weather. Joseph's stomach growled and looked for a snack to bite. Unfortunately he couldn't find anything. He sighed slowly and decided to tag along with delta squad because he was apparently assigned to it and didn't want to get yelled at like the other private.
His SMG was starting to fall off his weapon magnet and he adjusted it slowly. Joseph saw many faces that showed they were hungry, he was hungry as well. He just hoped that this whole thing would end quick and that they would have no problems. After all, he has to do all the hard work, healing wounds, treating disease, etc.
