Hoping what he was about to say both made sense and wasn't too cheesy, Asher replied, "I'd hold on to you tightly to make sure you'd never get lost if I could."
Aria smiled and nodded. "I think I won though!"

Nastara found herself speechless at Asher's words. All she could do was smile and blush....finally she came up with the best response she was able to, pitiful though it was, " I'd like that, very much"
Jasper nodded and gave Aria a slight bow. "Indeed you did win! Congratz!"
Emerald slowed the Van and pulled up to the curb. "Were here guys!"

Asher nodded at Nastara, knowing he'd like it too. After hearing they arrived, he got out of his seat and helped Aria out after she said her goodbyes to Jasper and thanked Nastara for lunch. Asher rumpled Jasper's fur and squeezed Nastara's hand. "I trust we'll see each other soon?" he inquired of her. "And thank you once again for the ride, Emerald! It was very kind of you."
For her good-bye to Jasper, Aria had quickly {hugged/embraced{lol}} him and hopped out of the van, waiting at the curb for Asher, smiling.

"Thank you both for coming" Nastara spoke to both Aria and Asher. " I had a lovely time, and I'm glad you both enjoyed it! We'll have to do it again sometime!" To Asher she said " I certainly hope so! You know where I live now, so feel free to come over anytime!"
Jasper blushed at being hugged, and barely had time to recover and give Aria a slight squeeze. He smiled and waved a bit bemusedly at her from the back of the van.
"You're welcome Asher, I'm just glad to see everyone smiling!" Emerald said. Once the door was closed she pulled slowly away from the curb, waving as she drove off, knowing that Nastara and Jasper were doing the same.

Asher nodded to Nastara, "We will, and I will probaby take you up on that offer!" He got out and sighed happily as he and Aria waved from the curb. "C'mon, kiddo," he said to her after they were out of sight. "It's about time for both our bedtimes." For once she didn't protest as she followed him into the house. They both got ready for bed and were soon in their own rooms, dreaming of the day past and they days to come.

Asher paced the house... and paced the house... and paced the house. He had already been semi-yelled at by Fae {{ME! 8D}} for starting to wear in the rugs. But he didn't know if one day was too soon to call again... Fae had refused to answer as to when the best time he should call would be. He probably should have asked Nastara when would be a good day to call. His thoughts had been running all over the place throughout the morning, dwelling on every moment of the picnic. He had the phonebook sitting on a table, open to the page he needed, debating if to call. Finally, he picked up the phone and dialed, and as he listened to it begin to ring he started running over what he would say, all depending on who picked up.

Nastara was exiled to the kitchen by Emerald who'd long since gotten annoyed at her hovering over the phone and door. So as Nastara always did when she feeling an abundance of emotion she was makin food. Given how happy she was, a baking storm was taking place. So far she'd made brownies, a cherry pie, was just putting some cinnamon raisin bread into the oven. All things told, given her distracted state, the sweet treats were coming out beautifully. Partially thanks to Illeyana who caught her about to use salt rather than sugar for the brownies.
As Nastara went to slide the last loaf pan into the oven the phone rang. She hurried to place the pan, close the oven and dash for the phone. But Illeyana who had been lounging in the front room got there first. " ILLEY! Wait!" Nastara called. With a grin and a wink she picked up the phone. Nastara grabbed for it and Illeyana kept shifting to keep it out off her reach. A brief scuffle could be heard on the phone, fur slidding against the mounthpeice that sort of thing. Then Illeyana's voice, sounding remarkably cool and collected given the situation came over the line." Hello? Illeyana speaking"

Asher took a moment, freezing up- he hadn't gotten to what he'd say if Illeyana picke dup- before he finally spoke. "Oh, hello there Illeyana! This is Asher. I believed we met in the shop a while back. How are you?" he asked, his voice inaudibly shaking from nervousness. He really wanted to hear Nastara's voice, but he didn't want to be rude to anyone.

Nastara took a seat directly in front of Illeyana, sat down, and gave her erstwhile niece her best " you-better-stop-this-mischief-or-else" glare. Which was horribly ruined by the fact that as she heard Asher's voice her gaze became riveted to the phone.
Illeyana simply stuck her tongue out at her Aunt and replied to Asher. " Oh I've been well, thank you. And yourself?"

Asher found himself smiling and nodding before remembering she couldn't see him. "That's good to hear. And I'm well, thanks. Is Nastara available for the phone right now?"

"Glad to hear it Asher.....Oh, um....Nastara? Yeah, she's right here. So, I haven't seen you in ages! What have you been up to."
Nastara perked up her ears coming forward at hearing him ask for her. When she heard Illeyana's reply however her tail began to lash at the floor, slowly. Saying clearer than her glare did that she was getting piqued.

About to reply with "Oh, good!" before he caught himself at what Illeyana said... Nastara was there... but Illeyana kept talking to him instead? He started to fret, wondering if Nastara was upset and didn't want to talk to him. "Oh, umm... Not much, but I went on a picnic yesterday with Nastara, Jasper, and Aria, so I just called to see how Nastara is and talk to her... Umm, what have you been up to?" His voice became lighter in pitch at the last sentence, not having wanted to ask the question, but knowing he should ask.

Illeyana noted the change in Asher's voice and realized she had taken her prank a bit too far. "Oh, I'm just causing mischief as usual Asher. I got to the phone before Nastara and have been trying to tease her. She's quite eager to hear from you, she's been on cloud nine all day, waiting to hear from you. Em strongly suggested she go bake, so Nastara has made lots of treats for us! Anyways, here she is-" With that and an apologetic smile to her aunt she passed the phone off.
"Hello Asher!" Nastara exclaimed sounding a bit breathless.

Asher remained silent at what Illeyana said, surprised. He wasn't very used to jokes, accept the being-tripped-by-fishing-line Aria used to pull on him... his face broke out into a full smile when he heard Nastara on the phone. "Nastara! Greetings, beautiful lady. May I interest you in a proposition?" he said as he chuckled lightly.

Her smile grew wider and it could be heard in her voice that she was pleased " Well, I suppose that depends entirely upon the question. You may always ask anything of me Asher-dear. Though whether or not I answer is a lady's prerogative."
