Faolan gave a throaty chuckle. "We'll let the little one hold the ribbon for a bit." He stepped up to the door when they reached the vardo. "Ay, lass. How about a hand here? Then I can get you in there for a few repeats of earlier."

"Only if we can get all these buttons undone with our hands tied," Ellandra said, only half-teasing as she opened the door - to the sound of a crash from inside. "Ah, Raags," Ellandra moaned quietly when the cat sauntered up to the newlyweds, a bit of a feather hanging from his mouth. The little cat looked extremely pleased with himself, winding around and about Faolan's legs and purring up a storm.

Faolan nearly dropped Ellandra in his haste to set her down, punting the cat out of the vardo without a second thought and slamming the door before it could get back in. He moved through the small living quarters, dragging Elle with him since they were still bound. "Zia?! Where are you?"
A small feathered and colorful form hit the man in the chest, clinging and shivering. Faolan put his free hand around the small creature, concern and worry showing in his eyes. "Ah, now. You're alright. I'm here."
"No more leaving cat in here," Ziazan muffled against Fao's chest.
Faolan gave Elle a look, not really aware of the accusations in his eyes, before looking back down at the small Essentic. "We'll leave it outside from now on when we go out. I promise. Are you alright?"
Zia nodded and looked up, tears making its rainbow eyes shine, more scared than actually hurt. "Cat pulled out some feathers." It held up a wing and, sure enough, there were a few feathers missing. It looked down at the couple's clasped hands and the ribbon around their wrists. "Who tied you up?"

Ellandra cowered back, away from the anger and accusations in Faolan's eyes. If they weren't tied together, she would have fled to the bedroom, but her physical tie to Faolan and her concern for Ziazan kept her in place, if leaving her trembling. She didn't dare reach out to Zia, after all, it was her cat that had attacked the little proto, so it was her fault it was so scared right now. She bit her lip and ducked her head, trying to hide the tears welling up in her eyes.
She had been afraid of this happening, but a part of her had dared to hope Rags wouldn't try something like this.
. . . She should have known better.
A cat was a cat, and a cat looked at Zia and saw a small, flying thing - very like a bird, and very much a target.
She started trembling at the thought that they might need to get rid of Rags, that he could have seriously hurt Ziazan (Oh thank goodness he was declawed!), that Faolan was angry at her - for she couldn't read his gaze as anything else - and out of fear that this sudden rise of panic and worry might hurt the baby that was just beginning to form.

Faolan moved to the bed, pulling Elle after him and set Zia down on the pillow. Well, set the Essentic down after prying it of, which wasn't easy with only one free hand. He sat down on the bed and looked up at Ellandra, then pulled her down into his lap, putting his free arm around her, his bound hand giving hers a reassuring squeeze.
"Elle? Look at me. It's alright. Everything's okay. Rags will have to stay outside tonight, but just so's Zia can calm itself," Faolan said softly. "Please, don't be sad. We just got married. I don't want you being upset on our wedding night."

Ellandra blinked up at Faolan, tears in her eyes. "B-but. . . Rags is my cat and - and he could have hurt Ziazan. . ." She murmured, snuggling up to her husband and trying to take comfort from his presence in order to calm down. She didn't want to be upset any more than he wanted her too. . . but it was her cat and didn't that mean the blame rested on her?

"Regardless of ownership, he's a cat. They're given to the hunt. Zia's alright, if a bit frightened. There's no need to worry." He pulled her down into a kiss, murmuring a soft happy noise in his throat.

Ellandra kissed Faolan back for a long moment, before breaking the kiss and sighing contently, brushing at her hair with her free hand."I know, but I can't help it," she said quietly. She looked over to Ziazan on the pillow, then at Faolan, and back to the proto before sighing softly. "Come here, little one," she said, untangling her hand from her hair and reaching to the proto. "I'm sorry."

Ziazan fluttered over to cling to Ellandra's chest and snuggle there. "It's not your fault what your cat does. It's a cat. It looked up at her with wide rainbow eyes. "Was the ceremony nice?"

Ellandra stroked the tiny proto's back with her free hand, smiling up at Faolan, before tugging her and her husband's - really, she was just never goign to get tired of that word! - intertwined, tied hands to where the little Proto could reach if it wanted to. "It was wonderful," she said softly, "But it would have been better if you could have come." She'd never felt more content in her life, never more at peace than she did right here, at this moment. Regardless of the cat that had stated mewing insistantly from outside the vardo.

Ziazan reached out and grasped the ribbon with a tiny hand, closing its eyes, then grinned. "Very nice." It looked up at Faolan. "Glad you got Keagan involved."
"Me, too," Faolan said, nodding. He picked the Essentic up and smiled at it. "Be off, little one. I want some time with my wife."
The little creature smiled knowingly and fluttered out of the room. Faolan got up, maneuvering Elle from his lap, and went to close the door, pulling her a long with him. He looked back at her and grinned. "You know, it's tradition to keep our hands like this--" He held up their bound hands. "--until morning. Makes for an interesting wedding night, I understand."

"Does it, now?" Ellandra said, unable to keep a smile from spreading across her face. Then she wrinkled her nose. "How in the world am I going to get out of this ridiculous dress then? All those buttons. . ." She complained mildly, trying to move her hair out of her face with her unbound hand and having no luck at all.

"La, wife, you forget I'm rather stuck in my shirt, too. However, it's not really the tops we need to remove, now is it?" He grinned at her, pulling her to the bed. "Learn to be creative in more than just the written word, lass."

"True," Ellandra said, a smile spreading across her own face as she let Faolan tug her to the bed. "Do we have to untie ourseles in the morning? I think I rather like being tied to you."

"Wife, we will always be tied to each other, even without the physical bonds," Faolan laughed. ~hours later~ Faolan lay on his back, stroking Elle's hair with his free hand where her head was pillowed on his chest, looking at their bound wrists. Bliss and contentment were two words that could best describe his feelings at the moment, though he was getting a little hot in the shirt. He moved his head to look down at Elle. "You ain't dazed out of your mind this time, eh, wife? Kinda need to to move off me some so I can get up."
