“And I thought the Darkness was bad…xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxIt doesn’t even compare to this Hell.” Hearing Namine's innocent threat caused the silvernette's eyes to widen slightly and he lifted his head off the desk. Namine had changed since the last night he'd actually saw her. She was stronger now. She could stand up for herself and didn't need to depend on someone else for everything. It was comforting to know that -- that the little blonde girl he knew from before was growing in her own little way.
Riku let his eyes fall back to their normal hue, teal and cold and emotionless, but of course there was always some feeling in them, even just the slightest and right now it was admiration. Hinting beneath the surface Riku was admiring the petite blonde that had been speaking with him. She wasn't what he was use to but it was comforting to have that change. He sat up and stretched his long legs out in front of him as he turned to look at the wooden desk and crossing his arms over his broad chest.
"Namine, can I ask you something?" Riku whispered. He didn't look at her. He was still sorting through his own thoughts, trying to find a way to piece word after word together without sounding like an idiot or a jerk. The last thing he wanted to do was upset the Nobody.

Lakayna leaned against the matted Gym wall with hr hands behind her head, waiting quietly as others slowly began to file into the room. Out of the sea of faces, there was one that especially stood out; the Nobody with fiery red hair and green eyes. So Axel had the same Gym class as her. Lakayna smiled, glad to see that someone she knew had the same class as her.

Namine Miss Memory Witch Namine was aware that Riku had lifted his head and she could feel his eyes on her, yet she remained looking straight ahead, up at the front of the class. The teacher was prattling on about something or the other. Namine hadn't been paying attention and quite honestly, she didn't really care. The girl knew a bit about science. After all, one of the Orginization's Members had been a scientist. If not a crazy one at that.
The girl resisted the temptation to look at Riku, afraid of the emotion she might see in his eyes. Would he be upset that she had slightly threatened anyone who dared to harm her in any way. Would he be upset that she was different? Changed a bit? She was too afraid to look. She even resisted the urge to look over when he spoke to her. "Of course, Riku. You can ask me anything," the petite blonde whispered back, still looking straight ahead.

“And I thought the Darkness was bad…xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxIt doesn’t even compare to this Hell.” Riku slouched into his chair. Why wasn't she looking at him? Did he say something wrong? She didn't even turn when she spoke to him. The silvernette looked around the room breifly. He was worried he'd upset her. He sighed and ignored the gnawing worry and focused on his question. He looked at her and prayed that she'd at least glance at hi when he spoke, "We're friends, right?"
He'd been unsure about that for awhile. Their friendship or if there even had been one. He'd been lost for two years and Namine had been there and they'd been kind to one another but never did he really know if they were friends. He wanted to be, he hoped they were but he just...didn't know. Something inside of him hoped that she'd say no that there was more to their friendship but he hadn't even realized that thought existed yet.

Namine Miss Memory Witch Completely taken aback by Riku's question, the girl blinked and turned to look over at him. "Of course we are." She replied, her lips turning up into a smile. However, she fell silent and a thoughtful look passed over her features. Namine's eyes slid to the desk and she seemed hesitant, like she wanted to say more but wasn't sure if she should. Her pale lips parted and she spoke in a very quiet voice, almost as if she were speaking to herself. Yet it was loud enough for Riku to hear, if he was listening closely.
"But... I feel like there's more than just that. But I don't exactly know what that is, or what it means." The slender teen's golden locks had swayed as she bowed her head slightly to look down, the strands came to rest in a way that all but hid her face from view.

“And I thought the Darkness was bad…xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxIt doesn’t even compare to this Hell.” He smiled. Good, they were friends. He didn't have to worry about that anymore -- thank God. Riku sat up as she began to speak again. The words were almost silent and hard to hear and he only picked up on a few like 'more' and 'I don't...know' and 'it means'. The silvernette watched the blonde lower her head and her face disappeared. Riku was strongly aware of his stomach again. It was flying and knotting and twisting...in a good way. Still, he didn't know what the Nobody had said completely and he didn't want to amuse. He touched her small shoulder tenderly.
"Hey, Namine," he whispered sincerely. "If...if I offended you or something...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. I was just -- I just was unsure and..." he trailed off. He sounded like an idiot and felt like a jerk. The two things he was trying to avoid when speaking to her. Crap.

Namine Miss Memory Witch Riku's tender touch caused a blush to spread on her cheeks and the girl was happy that she kept her head lowered so that her face remained hidden from his sight. That strange fluttery feeling from before occured once more, yet stronger this time. The girl gave a soft shake of her head, her face still hidden from view as she continued to glance down at the desk, the blush prominant on her porcelain cheeks. "No, you didn't offend me at all, Riku. I'm glad you asked because now you know." Though she was still hidden behind her golden locks a smile was playing on her lips and could clearly be heard in her voice.
The girl raised her head, reaching up with one of her delicate hands to sweep the hair away from her eyes and she tucked the strands behind her ear as she turned slightly to look at him. "Really. I'm alright. You didn't say or do anything to upset me. You don't need to worry about me." She stated, smiling faintly. The blush still played on her cheeks though it was more gentle now; a splash of pink that played on her fair skin.

“And I thought the Darkness was bad…xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxIt doesn’t even compare to this Hell.” Riku nodded and moved away from her and back into his desk. He wondered what had been wrong. Obviosly something had been but he didn't press it. She spoke again and Riku watched her move away her hair. The silvernette believed her a little more but he didn't like how she said he didn't have to worry about her. "Oh, okay then."

Namine Miss Memory Witch Catching the tone in Riku's voice caused Namine's smile to turn down into a frown. Had she said something wrong? Had she said something to make him angry? The girl thought back upon her words, but couldn't think of anything she had said that would cause him to get angry. Then again, she was new to all the emotions that Somebodies like Riku had to deal with every moment of every day.
"Riku? Did I say something to upset you?" She asked. It was easily said that the petite blonde was very perceptive. Worry began to knaw at her but the girl fought it back. If Riku was upset, surely, he'd tell her. The last thing she wanted was for Riku to be upset over something she said and then to try and hide his feelings from her. She never wanted him to have to hide anything from her. Namine wanted Riku to know he could trust her.
After that she pretty much tried to pay attention to the lesson but she quickly lost interest. Sighing, she propped both elbows up on the desk and rested her head in her hands, staring off at the front of the room but not really seeing anything as she was thinking of how different this new life was, silently awaiting Riku's answer.

“And I thought the Darkness was bad…xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxIt doesn’t even compare to this Hell.” "No," Riku answered flattly as he stared off into space. Riku didn't show his "nice" side. Everyone saw his "cold" side but it had always been easy to be kind and honest with Namine but his old self always kicked in from time to time. The silvernette didn't like that, it felt like the Darkness was still stronger than him in those times because he acted so cold and distance. I'm not afraid of the Darkness...but of a girl... he thought pathetically. It was sad to himself that he got uptight like this because she told him not to worry after she had a mini episode-like second.
Riku sighed. She wanted to know why he was upset: he wanted to know why she'd been upset. if neither told it was fair. If both told it was fair. But Riku knew he could be as stubborn as a mule and Namine had changed since coming into this new life, so Riku didn't know what to really expect if he decided to play one card or the other. The silvernette glanced sideways at the blonde. She was staring at the teacher, acting like she was paying attention, unlike Riku.
Riku had an epiphany. His eyes widened slightly with realization before they fell close and he smirked oh-so softly. He understood now, recalling their earlier conversation. He was able to piece things together. Of course we are [friends]. More. I don't...know. Wat it means. It all made some sense but he wasn't going to go jumping around and pointing it out. "Namine, I promise, that there's nothing you could do to upset me."

Namine Miss Memory Witch Riku's voice was sharp and flat when he answered her and it caused Namine to stiffen. Hurt flashed in her bright blue eyes but Riku wasn't paying attention, so he probably didn't see it. His tone contradicted his answer; he'd said she hadn't upset him yet his tone had been cold and cutting, indicating otherwise. Instead of answering him -- she knew her voice would betray her by letting her hurt show -- the girl remained silent and continued staring straight ahead.
That was, until the boy spoke again. This time his tone was softer, warmer. The sudden change in his mood caused Namine to blink and her posture relaxed as she turned her head slightly to peek over at him. The hurt was gone from her eyes and she gave Riku a small, hesitant smile. "Good. Because that's the last thing I ever want to do. I never want to upset or hurt you, Riku." The petite blonde was surprised because the words had slipped out without her even thinking about them. Of course they were true, she just hadn't been planning on admitting as much as she had.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSoraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFinally back!!! I can rest up, hang with my friends and... Sora took his friend's schedule, smiling at the fact that she was okay with Axel being there. Like he'd established before, he didn't distrust Axel, but he wasn't going to put his life or the lives of his friends in his hands any time soon either. He looked at Kairi's schedule, a toothy grin emerging on his face. So, they had this class and the next class together. That would give them more time to spend together like normal kids, not Key-Bearers. He also found it interesting that she had Algebra with Riku.
He straightened up in his seat, silently handing Kairi her schedule back. He listened to the teacher talk about the class, as he didn't want to be called out in front of Kairi. The teacher paused, so the brunette leaned back and whispered to his friend. "Hey, we have gym together," he said. "And I think you might have math with Riku." He smiled happily, then turned his attention back to the teacher as he continued his lecture. Then, surprisingly, the bell rang. That had seemed very short, but then the boy realized that the teacher hadn't started talking until halfway through the period. The first half he'd spent talking to Kairi, which always seemed to make time fly. He stood up, prepared to walk to the gym with his friend. However, the teacher signaled him over. He shrugged to the red-head, then walked to the man. "Yeah?" "The principal wants to see you," he explained. "Something about truancy?" Sora sighed heavily. Just what he needed. To explain a seemingly impossible story to an adult. Well, it was a good thing he could summon his Keyblade on the spot, so that would make the explanation a little more believable. He nodded and went back to Kairi's side. "I have to go to the principal's office," he told her. "I'll catch up with you in gym, okay?" He didn't wait for an answer and left the classroom, trying to remember where the principal's office was.((Hey guys, I have to pull out for the next two weeks. I'm going on a vacation, and there will be limited internet access. So, for the benefit of the RP, I won't be around for the next two weeks. Sorry!!! See you when I get back!))GO TO SCHOOL!?!

Kairi As the teacher began talking about the class Kairi looked down at Sora's schedule. She smiled to herself. They had this class together plus third period gym together, and after that was lunch. So she would have about three hours in a row to spend with Sora, which made her extremely happy. When Sora silently handed Kairi back her schedule, she returned his to him as well. She went back to listening to the teacher, taking occasional notes. When the teacher paused and Sora whispered to her Kairi happily whispered back, "Ooh yeah isn't that great! And really? Yay! I can't wait to see him! I'm glad to know that I have at least one class with Riku. Now if only all three of us had a class together!" The teacher then continued speaking again and Kairi returned her focus to the lecture. When the bell rang Kairi gathered her belongings and was about to head over to the gym with Sora when the teacher called him over. She waited for him by the door. When he returned he told her he had to go to the principal's office, and that he'd catch up with her later. "Oh okay. I'll see you later!" Kairi called out to the brunette as he exited the classroom. Kairi then made her way down to the gym and entered to girls' locker room. She got her gym clothes from the teacher, changed, put her things in the locker she was assigned to, and then entered the gym. As she walked in Kairi was sad that Sora had to go because she was alone now. She hoped that everything was fine with the principal and that Sora wasn't in too much trouble. Kairi looked at all the other students gathered around her in the gym seeing no one familiar. But a moment later she spotted a girl with long, lavender hair leaning against the wall. "Hey Lakayna!" Kairi said waving to her. She walked over and joined Lakayna. That's when Kairi noticed another red head in the gym. So Sora, Lakayna, and Axel all had gym with her. Kairi smiled, glad to have that many friends in the same class.

Lakayna looked to a different part of the gym when she heard her voice called out of the crowd. She waved back to the voice, the red-redded girl whose hair was darker in color than Axel's; Kairi. That was great; she had another friend in gym class. She pushed herself off from the wall and walked over to Kairi. "Guess we have the same Gym class too," she said, a smile on her face. She tried hard to keep her dragon's fangs concealed, but it wasn't easy at all when talking and smiling at the same time. She was sure Kairi was bound to notice sooner or later.

Axel looked over and saw Lakayna and Kairi talking together. Noticing that Lakayna was having a hard time hiding her fangs, Axel walked over and said, "Hey guys. Second period went by way too fast. I wanted to be in Music a lot longer than that. Oh well, next period is Lunch anyway."
