Joliette had tumbled into bed when she returned to her duplex and had cried herself to sleep. Now it was morning and she was beginning to wake up. She rubbed her eyes to get the sleep out of them. After a moment she climbed from bed and trudged into the bathroom looking at herself in the mirror, she knew she looked awful and wasn't sure she was even in the mood to fix that. Personal pride eventually won her over on that one and she took a quick shower before going to her bags and digging out her last set of clean clothing "I'm going to have to find some place to wash my clothing today" she mused half-heartily to herself.

Her eyes landed on the 'script' and a new feeling ran through her... anger. "How DARE he!!??!!" she screamed at the top of her lungs as she took hold of the sheef of paper and proceeded to tear it into shreds, she didn't care if her window was slightly open, something she had done to air out the steam from her shower. She simply kept screaming letting her anger out on the paper. She was stronger then one might give her credit for at first glance, her black belt in martial arts could be thanked for that.

By the time she was done she stood in the center of a sea of shredded paper panting to catch her breath. It had felt good to vent all her anger even if it hadn't been at who she wanted it to be. She searched around her room and eventually found a small box which she stuffed all the shreds into. With a nod she folded the flaps and then pulled out her laptop and printer, sitting on the floor against the dresser she booted it up and typed the couple of lines and then printed it off. "Now to figure out how to get this where I want it." With that she got up and grabbed her keys and the box and her typed paper and left her unit

After some searching she found where she had to leave the parcel to get to Sabin

Note Attatched to box
Monsieur Duvert

Due to your deception and lies I no longer have any use for this and thought I should return it. I would however like to be able to continue my livelyhood however long I can if you can find some way to allow me to do that.

Joliette Rigiel

She was sure her letter dripped with sarcasm but she didn't care, she was not in any state of mind to even think about it as she walked away from where she had left the parcel

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette had managed to calm down a bit and was now in the process of setting up camera stuff in the middle of the village, her tripod, her telephoto lens and a plethera of other cases and her laptop all surrounded her, she had the intentions of photographing some of the surrounding area and the sky... for lack of anything better to do more then anything.

She lifted her Telephoto lens atop the tripod and firmly mounted it, it was rather large as on it's end it came to her knees and was quite thick around. "There" she mused making sure it was solid before moving to attatch the camera to the lens which in itself did not take a long time

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs yawned as he made his way through the village, hand in his pocket and cigarette in his other. Smacking his lips together he walked barefoot through the area, looking at the groud and at each building he passed.

" Hmm which one was it again?"

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette looked throught eh viewfinder at hte treeline she didn't hear the man's footsteps or his words as she snapped a series of photos. She stood up slightly and tapped a couple notes into the laptop

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs blinked and turned around, nearly bumping ito the woman behind him as heard the sound of whirling and clicking from her camera.

" Woa!, hey ah, sorry, didnt see ya there"

He rubbed the back of his head, a nervous reaction. He probably shouldn't have used the hand he had the smoke in, as the hot ember fell on his neck.

" Ah!, dammit!"

Chubbs quickly tossed the smoke on the ground and stomped it out with his bare heel. With a twist he lifted his foot and picked up the butt, looking around for a bin. Not seeing one in sight, he slipped it in his pocket and blushed redly as he looked back to his near accident.

" Ah sorry again"

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette stood more upright slightly startled, well he wasn't changed, she knew she had not seen him before "It's ok" Joliette said in her thick British accent "Accidents can happen" she nods looking up at the man who seemed to be acting rather meak for someone his size

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs new he was blushing, and that made him blush more. He smiled at least at her talking, she had a nice sound.

" Umm ya gotta nice accent"

He peered behind her, spotting the camera and made a face like he was about to whistle

" Oh cool, ya like a sports writer, you here for the fight?"

Chubbs wanted something to talk about other than the silly one line he just said previously

" Or ya work here?"

Joliette Rigiel
"I'm from Britain... and uh no I'm a Photo journalist.. kinda.. and I dont work here and I have heard nothing about any fights that are sports related" she said associating fight with the sports he mentioned "Nope like everyone else I'm simply trapped here"

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs raised a brow then chuckled and nodded

" Ain't we all?"

He jiggled a bit when he laughed then looked around him some more at the surrounding buildings.

" I'm so going to get lost here, .. umm, you know where the food place is?"

Joliette Rigiel
"Yup we are" she grumbled trying to keep her temper in check. She took a deep breath and spoke "Yeah I do, it's one of hte few places I do know" she said and turned and pointed at hte large building "Cafeteria is in there" she told him

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs looked behind him and looked to the building she pointed at. He wasnt sure what he said had ticked her off, maybe cuz he was rude?

" Oh umm, thanks... and ah, m-my names Chubbs by the way"

He offered her a gloved hand as a handshake, hoping she wouldnt be too mad at him

Joliette Rigiel
She looked back at him "Joliette" she said sounding calmer once again as she took his hand, for her size she had a firm grip. "It is nice to meet you" she nods "You are here for a ... fight?" she asks

Chubbs MacKraken
He 'd looked back to the building once more, pondering what the place had in stock.

" Hmm ... a fight? yeah, gotta train up first, help the kids out ya know?"

He reached in his back pocket to pull out a black leather worn wallet with initials " DM" written on it, flipping it open, he pulled out a small photo of a bunch of kids in boxing gloves all tackling on Chubbs with everyone laughing. About twelve in total.

Joliette Rigiel
"Your kids? Or simply a youth program?" she asked looking at the photograph feeling sorry for the children who were in it regardless of relatives or not she stuck one hand into one of the larger pockets of her vest fidgetting with a roll of film as she asked

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs went red at the idea, that he'd have had that many kids. Who the heck with he wondered

" M-my k..? oh nah, nah, heh I haven't even had... em"

Chubbs blinked, realising he should change the subject quickly.

"They are bunch of kids round the neighbourhood, I keeps em outa trouble and show em how to look after themselves. I want to get em a better place to come to then an old warehouse"

He put the photo away and tucked his wallet back in his pocket, stille feeling the warmth of his blush

Joliette Rigiel
"I'm sure you did well for them" she said "I've never found a lot of time for such myself, before winding up here all I had was my job" she motioned at her telephoto lens and camera equipment that she managed to have cluttering the base of hte tripod

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs eyed the camera over, inspecting it closely

" Looks cool, must be a pricey one huh?"

He looked around for a moment and walked to a spot closest to a building and sat down, leaning against the wall.

" Sorry just a bit tired, needed to sit"

He then stretched and fetched around for his cigarette packet in his pocket.

Joliette Rigiel
"Yeah, but I've been collecting camera stuff since I was a kid so it was just one more piece I needed" she took a breath and tipped the hard shell case of her lense on it's end and sat on it "No worries" she pulled her hand back out from her pocket

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs selected a cig from the pack and tucked it behind his ear as he put the pack away

" Oh?, how much have you got? I've been collecting hats some, not many, I just like em"

He pulled his hood over his head and crossed his legs as he put the smoke between his lips and patted around for his lighter. Finding it in his side pocket, he lit the cigarette and put the lighter away.

Joliette Rigiel
"This is most of it, a few lenses back in my duplex, and a few on the mainland that I'll never see again" she sighed softly "I'm just glad all my best lenses are here" she mused looking at her equipment for a moment "Where are you from Chubbs?" she asked now curious and figuring if he was stuck there too she might as well learn more about him too.

Chubbs MacKraken
He nodded, listening to her slightly, he was trying but he was tired. He puffed on the cig and relaxed some, a really nice relaxed

" I'm from Australia, but been in Brooklyn the last 5 years, trying to help out the neighbourhood"

He hoped his name was small enough that a woman in her field hadn't known who he was, it was good enough that she wasn't in the sports field

" How about you?"

Joliette Rigiel
"Born in France and raised in Britain" She said "I spent near all my life in Britain" she said "Came here looking for a scoop for the World Weekly News and got a lil more then I bargained for I will admit that openly"

Chubbs MacKraken
" Oh?, what's that like?, is Britain nice?"

Chubbs winced at the question he asked, it was rather dumb. He was never good in female company. He decided to shut his mouth by smoking instead, he wished he had something to eat instead though.

Joliette Rigiel
"Britain's a lil dreary at times but I liked it" she smiled "As for my work, it's also my hobby and overall... my lively hood" she stood and set the case down once more unhooking her camera from the lens facing him again as she closed it up "I just hope I can keep doing it here"

Joliette Rigiel
"Joliette" she said with a nod and a small smile "All right I'm in 27 is you ever want to visit" and unhooked the huge lense and hefted it off the tripod "I think I'm gonna go in too, so I'll see you again"

Chubbs MacKraken
Jumps blusheed agains and winced, what was it with him and female names. He offered a shy smile and waved

" I'll see ya round probably"

With that he headed back to his room, forgetting about his cafeteria run.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette watched him depart for a moment and started making trips returning all her stuff to her duplex closing hte door and locking it tight behind her.

Joliette Alone in her Duplex

She put it all away and pulled out something she had yet to wear, her pajamas, she'd spent the previous two nights sleeping in her clothing, now she KNEW come morning she would have to go locate the laundry facilities... oh well at least her pajamas could easily pass as Martial Arts Gi... She crawled into bed silently cursing hte doctor as she pulled the blanket over her head and fell to sleep

Laundry Day

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette walked into the large building her bag over her shoulder. She was barefoot and was wearing what looked like black martial arts Gi. She was looking as if she was searching for something but didn't know just where to look.

Emelyn
Emelyn rattled the little orange bottle, listening to the sound of the small collection of pills inside hit the walls in a furvor. Why do they always have to make the containers orange, she thought, thumping the bottom of the pill container against her palm, exciting the contents once more. Her Grandpa John's house was always full of those orange bottles- above the sink, stuffed into corners of the spice rack, packed into the medicine cabinets. That certain hue of orange, she thought, as she looked at the bottle- would always be associated with illness, and also with her Grandfather's house. ...Even though it was just a bottle of aspirin for the headaches she'd been having in this island heat... it seemed like so much more, and she pocketed the bottle as she came around the corner to leave through the main entrance.

Instead of walking through the double doors and heading back to her duplex, however, she paused in her step, seeing someone that she'd never before come across. She appeared unchanged- so she was either a new islander, or a new employee to work here in the main building with Delia. In any case, Emelyn didn't want to excite her if she didn't know about the transformations, so she turned her head down and tried to slip past the woman.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette saw the movement in the corner of her eye and turned to look, a female.. she looked like she might maybe have been a pilot? least thats what she thought by the goggles, oh well she'd not yet met this one "' 'scuse me" she said in her thick British acent "Do you know where I can find a place to wash my clothing?" she asked seeing she wasn't exactly... normal, but said nothing about it, she'd seen worse so far

Emelyn
Emelyn stopped, sighed, and turned to face the woman full in the face. ...Well, she had to look down, but still, she knew it would be rude to continue on her way when she'd obviously been noticed. If the woman had a problem with her animal features... well... they'd jump off that bridge when they came to it.

"Yes, actually- you're in the right building. This is the.... town hall, of sorts. The cafeteria is through that way," Em indicated with a sweeping gesture, "and through the other entrance to your left, is the laundry room." She paused, looking at the hallways that lead to the various rooms in the building, and then back at the smaller woman, whose voice obviously pointed her at being from the UK. "Have you been around for... very long? If you need to know where things are, I'd be happy to give you a tour. I'm Emelyn, by the way." She didn't offer her hand to shake, seeing that her hands were filled with what was probably her laundry bag.

Joliette Rigiel
"Cafeteria, yes I am familair with that one and that way? great.. I don't exactly have much to wear so finding that is a good thing" she looked towards the female again "No not very long, just long enough to learn I was decieved and lied to by .. well mr whitehair, I dont feel like saying his name right now" she said with obvious distaste. She sighed "Oh I'm sorry I guess that wasn't much of an answer, I've been here just a few days"

Emelyn
"Whitehair..." Em said, mostly under her breath questioningly. She had no idea what the woman was talking about- but decided not to ask. "Just a few days? So... what brought you here.. Ms...?"

Joliette Rigiel
"Rigiel, Joliette Rigiel" she said introducing herself her name sounded rather french dispite her accent. "As for what brought me here, well I'm a Photo Journalist, I came looking in this area for a good story, I heard rumors about this area. I found the actor on the beach and came closer and then was offered an exclusive and came ashore... worst mistake of my life"

Emelyn
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Joliette," Em said, reproducing the accent she'd used to pronounce her name exactly. Her French was minimal at best, but she'd never had a difficulty with accents at all- they were second nature to her. "...Even under the circumstances."

She wrinkled her brow a bit, considering, drawing a blank when she spoke of 'the actor'. Then she pulled something out of her memory- something that Ambrose had told her, about Vasile DiRossi being here.

"Oh. So you know about the..." she didn't want to say transformations, but tossed her head a little, the limp quills about her forehead dancing as she did.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette nodded "Yes unfortunately I do, thats why I said that Duvert lied and decieved me, I did refuse his immunization only to later find he gave it to me anyways.. First person I met here was Hargun... Mind you I thought it was a costume at first, he had me believing a movie was being shot here"

Emelyn
"Oh. ...Duvert." White hair, Emelyn thought. Duh. "I'm sorry. It will all take some.. time to get used to." And she'd already been injected. How terrible.

"I don't really know what to say- most of us were deceived to get here- it seems you just fell on some... bad luck. That was me, too," she said. "My boat was wrecked in a storm, and I washed up ashore here."

Joliette Rigiel
"Mine was in one piece and workable when I arrived, Ambrose says it was being taken apart when he saw it" she nodded "So you had some bad luck too then?" she sighed "I think they thrive on persons who have had bad luck"

Emelyn
"Hm, she said, feeling a twinge of regret that yet another viable means of escape was being dismantled as they spoke. "Actually, we're the rarer set of the bunch. Most of the people were drawn here under false pretenses. They believed they were coming to work for Moreau, or to study indigenous plants or animals on the island. Those of us who stumbled upon the place are the unfortunate minority. ...Although really," Emelyn said, thinking aloud, "I'd prefer to have fallen here in a stumble of bad luck, than to live out the rest of my life here knowing that I'd been deceived."

Joliette Rigiel
"Very true, I would not like to have come here with te sole purpose of one of their stories, bad enough I partially was... I just wish I knew what they had up thier sleeves for me... I don't think sabin much liked me... or at least the fact I'm vegan.." she looked towards the other woman "What are you ... becoming ... Ms..?"

Emelyn
"Emelyn," she said again. Obviously Joliette hadn't heard it the first time. "Emelyn White. "And... a hedgehog, actually," she said, twisting a limp quill between her thumb and forefinger before letting it fall back to land on her aviator goggles. "I should be near the next transformation any day now, too..." there was a pause, where she debated whether to ask. "Do you know what you...?"

Joliette Rigiel
"Oh yes sorry" she felt a lil silly having forgotten that, oh well it didn't seem of any harm "A hedgehog? wow they certainly are chosing a vast variety of creatures, I've seen a bat, a wolf, a lizard and I'm presuming a bird" she sighed "No, I don't, I didn't even know I had been given an injection until Amaya told me to look. I kinda... blacked out on the way from Duvert's office to an elevator as I was feeling rather sick"

Emelyn
"Well, for what it's worth, I'm sorry you were injected. ...And yes, there certainly are a variety of animals about. There are some strange combinations, as well. There's a woman on the island turning into a snake. But she has feathers." Emelyn shook her head. "I really don't even understand it myself." She caught sight of the bag still on Joliette's shoulders.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Listen to me, babbling on, when you have laundry to do. I'm sorry, I'll let you get along with it."

Joliette Rigiel
"Thanks, too late now I guess... A snake with feathers?" she quirked a brow "Weird..." she stopped to think for a moment "Oh yeah well thankyou for the information and the pleasent conversation... I'm in duplex 27 so I'm certain we'll run into each other again"

Emelyn
"27. Oh, that's my lucky number," Em said, smiling. "I'm way down in 8, so you can stop by anytime you want some company, or help with anything. ...Well, I'll let you get to your laundry. Nice to meet you, Joliette."

Joliette Rigiel
"Number 8" she said with a smile and a nod letting go of the bag with one hand she extended her hand "Yes likewise a pleasure"

Emelyn
"See you later," Em said, smiling- glad to have met someone new, even under the sad circumstances, and went on her way out the doors of the main building.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette watched her leave for a moment then headed in the direction Emelyn had said the laundry area soon finding it and dumping her clothing into a washer setting it to run. She looked around and sighed but pushed some stuff out of hte way to clear some space, she figured there wasn't anything better to do then do something to stay calm, in this case she did some slow martial arts that she found calming
PostPosted: Sun Nov 13, 2005 5:08 pm

Hargun Aikason
Hargun strolled calmly through the village in her usual blue bathsuit top and skirt, of course with her protective sunglasses as well. She made a quick stop at the cafeteria to scoop up a bunch of chocolate ants, then continued her walk until her ears picked up occasional sounds comming from the laundry area. "Either thats someone or one of the machines went completely haywire.." she muttered to herself, then jogged over towards the sound.

She peered in, and was quite suprised to find Joliette there. And she was practicing some sort of martial arts. "Woah.. Hey Joliette!" she called and grinned from the doorway.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette pause midstep and looked towards the door. She came to a full stop she put her feet down hands together for a moment "Hi Hargun" she said relaxing her stance completely

Hargun Aikason
Hargun smiled again. "I had no idea you knew like.. martial arts. I could hire you as a hitwoman or something." she said then walked in taking a seat on a moved table. "So how've you been? Heard something crazy going on from your duplex the other night.. are you okay?" she asked and popped a few ants in her mouth.

Joliette Rigiel
"Oh" she blushed a lil "Mom and Dad had me take lessons when I was younger, for self defense, I find it can relax me" she said scratching the back of her scalp and walking towards Hargun "Oh.. uhm.. I kinda got mad at that fake script... tore it to tiny shreds" she admitted "Then sent it back to Sabin in a box, I guess it all hit me at once after witnessing the ... explosion of emotions in the cafeteria the night before"

Hargun Aikason
"Ah. My parents always had me go to art classes.. then everyonce in a while gymnastics but.. Id always drop out." she said, then laughed as she mentioned the script. "Well thats good. I wouldve torn up my sketchbook and sent it back to Moreau but.. heh. Its like a sibling to me even if I cant draw in it. But of course now I kinda wish I did." she then raised her eyebrow into a curious expression. "Hmm.. what happened at the cafeteria?"

Joliette Rigiel
"Yeah, well even so, I would imagine you would regret tearing up your work" she sighed and taking a seat "Uhm Ambrose, Vasile, a black guy and a lady with feathers and a beak were having a lil bit of a... disagreement, I would say they were rather hacked off at each other over what sounded like the... changes." she tried to explain

Hargun Aikason
"Hmm.. OH. No way.. Greer? Well I cant blame her and Ambrose. Like me, they gone through more changes than most people on the island that have changed once like Vasile and Amaya and.. uhmm.." she trailed off. "Well anyways.. cant say Ive met a black man yet here though. Must be one of the new ones?" she said shrugging.

"This island is making us really restless and it gets harder to deal with almost everyday. And then seeing all these new people come.. it really is hard." she said sighing.

Joliette Rigiel
"I wish I could say I know what you mean, well actually no I dont... you know what I mean, I guess I will know what you mean eventually... I met someone else new last night, says he's here for a fight, I couldn't quite bring myself to be blunt with him, even though I did try to drop hints" she sighed

Hargun Aikason
"Oh my GOD. You mean Moreau got another one? Why in the world can he not be satisfied with the prisoners hes already got?" she asked, more directed at herself but open to discussion anyways.

"Hmm.. what was he like?" she asked and ate some more ants, and held out her webbed hand where there was a tiny pile of them, offering some to Joliette with a grin on her face.

Joliette Rigiel
"Joliette closed her eyes and put her hand up to motion no, "No thanks I'm vegan remember, just hte memory of hte taste of meat made me throw up my first night here" she looked towards Hargun again "Big guy, red-orange hair, his name is Chubbs" she told her "Kinda seems awkward around females"

Hargun Aikason
"Oh its not meat.. sorta.." she said and took her hand away. "Sorry though. Hmm.. Chubbs? Interesting name.. though Im one to talk." she said laughing a bit. "Anyone else youve met that seem oblivious to whats really going on?" she asked.

Moreau seemed to be bringing an awfull lot of people these past few days.. probably the most shed heard of all at once.

Joliette Rigiel
"Just the father we all saw the other day... as for the ants no, they aren't meat, but they are, or were a living creature." she bit her lip "Do you have any weird dreams here?" she asks remembering her conversation with Amaya

Hargun Aikason
Hargun nodded quickly to the dreams question. "Yea.. oh yea. Plenty of them. Usually about me in an art academy somewhere with my friends and not being able to pick up anything to draw with and stuff. Then Id wake up. Nothing about flying at night or anything really bat like yet though.. thank goodness." she said and sighed.

Joliette Rigiel
She shivered "I've only had one dream I couldn't explain but I guess thats cause I only just got here" she thought about the dream and then tried not to "How do you think they chose the animal?" she asked looking at the floor

Hargun Aikason
"Im not quite sure actually. I dont even think mine was officially chosen by Moreau because when I came, I came with this other man and Aubrey did our injections. I think she choose mine as punishment for just calling her joke 'stupid'. Although now its not stupid, its true. She said this was a place where we were turning into animals but uhm.. she didnt sound serious at the time." she looked at her webby hands and frowned. "And then theres the fact that I use these everyday. Maybe they jst wanted to make me pityful." and then she jolted up slightly, before sitting back down looking rather awkward. "And I forgot.. just in the last transformation I started sprouting these.. HORNS. And Im sure as hell bats dont have horns."

She shuddered. "Sorry.. I complain too much."

Joliette Rigiel
"No you dont, I think you have every right to complain, after all look whats happening to you" she sighed "I dont know what will happen to me, but I dread thinking about it, I think I might have met the aubrey lady, but she didn't talk really. I don't think Sabin liked the fact that I'm vegan though, I noted very obvious displeasure in it" she looked at Hargun

Hargun Aikason
"Well knowing Sabin, the clever man, hes probably got something for you that you probably wont like. I mean he fooled us into thinking he was one of the islanders.. which explains why I thought something was fishy with him when he seemed 'happy' about my recent change." she said, a rather angry tone in her voice. Then she turned to face Joliette.

"I dont want to sound.. uh.. disappointing? But Im betting he picked a carnivore for you, whether or not that dream you had meant anything or not. But then again, Im not a psychic though." she said and hopped up, walked over to the washing machines and looked through all the glass doors idly as they talked.

Joliette Rigiel
She shivered at the thought "I've had that thought, I really hope not, I can't handle eatting it, what others do I can't control but after seeing that processing plant a few years ago.. I cant..." she looked in Hargun's direction watching her own small pile of white and khaki fabric move in circles "You know I dont think I could put that past him doing though not after his deception I witnessed"

Hargun Aikason
"Well, try to stay positive." she said with a slight smile. "Although we both know there are chances youll change to something you dont want, theres still the chance you wont. Heck.. what if you turned into a plant?" she said and turned around. "Or something unique like a horse or an antelope."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette chuckled weakly "I'd rather not change at all, but if I had the choice I would say I would prefer a vegetarian animal... or a plant" she stood up "It's a weird feeling regardless, thinking about turning into well... anything" she looked up at the bat-girl "Could you imagin something tall? like a giraffe? I'm not exactly tall as it is" she was trying her damnedest to make light of hte situation

Hargun Aikason
Hargun chuckled with her. "Im sure that person changing into a giraffe would be pretty intersting to see. But I could probably imagine that considering my arms are growing so long each time I change.. I feel like Ive got bendy poles for arms. And then the webbing is even wierder because you cant tell its really there until you try holding something or picking something up." she shook her head quickly. "There I go again.." she said smiling.

Joliette Rigiel
She chuckled softly at hte thought of hte giraffe and then sighed "I feel sympathy for you Hargun, I really do, I would not want to be in your place"

Hargun Aikason
"Oh no, dont. Im sure I could be in a lot worse position. Although I cant think of one right now but, yea." she said and smiled. "I bet given some more time and another change I could probably FLY. Would that not be the most amazing thing? For the price of not being able to draw flying would be a great trade." she said and put her arms out and made a quick little stride, then stopped before running into a table.

Joliette Rigiel
"Yeah! flying, woah you'd be hte first humanoid for lack of a better term to do that of their own power without the aid of a glider or something" she smiled softly "Do you think you'll be able to leave here under that power?"

Hargun Aikason
Hargun perked up a bit at the last thing Joliette said. "You know... now that I think about it, maybe I could!" she said, pretty excited. Her hopes were up really high now, it almost made her want to start 'practicing' as soon as possible. And we began to remember Greer. She too was turning into a flying creature, and if they happened to make it off the island, they could get help and stop everything Moreau was doing.

Although it was a pipedream at the most, it was something she would really dwell apon for a while.

She turned to Joliette. "I should head back out soon. It was a nice time talking with yah again though." she said.

Ambrose Maurlias
After a long night of reading through the books in his room, and a finally restful night's sleep, Ambrose was feeling admittedly better. Hopefully, he mused as he took his morning shower (that now took about twice as long as they used to with all of the fur), Greer was doing better as well. He'd have to check up on her soon...

As he went to get dressed, Ambrose's new acute senses alerted him that it was now definately laundry time.

After a few rounds of sniff-testing, Ambrose found a tolerably clean set of clothes (that didn't match), and grabbed the rest of them into a large basket, and headed towards the laundry room.

Hearing voices, he peeked his head in to make sure the coast was clear before walking in.

"'morning, Hargun... Joliette..." He gave a small smile. His fur and was still somewhat damp, and he was carrying a big duffel bag that was rather lumpy.

Joliette Rigiel
"Yes, definetaly nice, I'm glad there are people here to talk to" Joliette turned hearing the voice "Hello Ambrose" she said with a small nod and a wave as she took in his mis-matched attire with an inward chuckle

Hargun Aikason
"Woah.. well Heya Ambrose!" she said smiling, and waved to the wolfguy. "I was just about to head out, but I guess I could stay and chat a little more. Me and Joliette were just a talkin." she said and sat back down next to Joliette.

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose gave a bashful wince as Joliette eyed his clothes. "Er... I'm sorry about this... It's... well... laundry day I suppose. I shouldn't have let it get this bad, but I've kind of been preoccupied with other things." He said, gesturing to his nice, dress shirt along with the bottom half of his musketeer costume. "Definately Shouldn't have let it get this bad..." He eyed her Gi. "Laundry day for you as well, I presume?"

He gave a wave to Hargun. "Hey, Hargun. I'm sorry - I hope I'm not interrupting anything! Don't let me keep you if you need to be somewhere." He paused. "And thanks again... for yesterday. I really appreaciate it." He smiled as he walked to an unused washer, and began sorting through his dirty laundry for the darks.

"Oh... and Joliettte..." He winced. "I'm sorry... about what you saw yesterday in the cafeteria... we normally aren't that.... argumentative... really. I guess things have just been getting to some of us recently..."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette nodded "Yes laundry day, though I think that'll come avery couple days for me, I only have like 3 sets of clothing and this" she avoided telling them it was her pajamas "It's ok... the arguement thing... it kinda knocked some sense into me too..." she blushed slightly "Ask Hargun, she heard my screaming"

Hargun Aikason
Hargun laughed. "Yea.. sounded like serious anger managment." she said and patted Joliette on the shoulder.

"I wash my clothes everyonce in a while.. usually while everyone else is asleep. I just heard Joliette today practicing her martial arts of sorts and came in to see and talk." she laughed again. "No problem, Ambrose. I was thankful to get it off my head."

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose pursued his lips. "I'm... sorry, Joliette.... screaming?" He looked back to her, feeling guilty. "I... I really hope I didn't say something to upset you." His tail swished a bit behind him.

He finished segregating the darks into the washer, and then dumped the contents of the bag into the other, a jumble of mostly white and khaki clothes tumbled in. Putting a heaping cupfull of detergent into the two washers, he turned the dials, and closed the lids, and soon the humm of the washing machines was heard.

He looked to Hargun. "I'm glad. Really. And Martial arts you say?" He looked to Joliette for confirmation. "That's interesting! I'm a fencer myself."

Joliette Rigiel
"No, you didn't, reality hitting me and I was screaming as I tore up the fake script sabin gave me when I first got here into little shreds.. was kinda just a release of anger towards him more then anything" she was quiet for a time watching him load the machines "Yes, mom and dad insisted I learn it when I was younger, for self defense, dad always said he'd be beating hte guys away with a bat... ironic thing is, I never have had a date, been too busy with my studies" she sighed "Fencing? I've seen some of that, calls for a lot of speed and agility"

Hargun Aikason
Hargun listened curiostly to both of them. "You two had better watch out..I've taken several drawing and painting classes and have mad skills.." she said sarcastically but smiling anyways. It didnt matter to her that she never really learned anything that unqiue. None the less, it was still interesting to hear about.

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose's tail gave a bit of a wag. "Yeah..." He rubbed the back of his his head bashfully. "You might say that, Joli.. I've been training pretty hard at it, actually... i just haven't had much chance to... well... do much with it recently." He frowned. "Greer - the bird lady - has had some sabre training, but I'm an epee fencer... two different styles. But things have been rather hectic lately. And I"ve been trying to teach Amaya as well - she's been picking it up pretty well."

He looked incredulously towards her. "Never had a date? I find that hard to believe!"

Ambrose laughed with a grin to Hargun. "Seriously, I think that that's great..." he trailed off, looking at her wing-like arms, realizing that he might be getting close to a testy subject. "But I'd be happy to teach you some fencing if you'd like." He smiled.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette nodded and looked at Hargun and bit her lip, she did not envy her one bit "Why do you find that hard to believe? Well I guess the reality of hte fact is I was always too busy with studies or work, not that noone asked me, I just always found.. excuses" she looked back to Hargun "I'd love to watch..."

Emelyn
Since her morning encounter with the new arrival on the island, Em had been having the sour luck of missing every opportunity for human... or, rather... human-like company. She'd been out on the beach, walked through the woods, and even hiked as far up the mountain as her hedgehog instincts would allow her, and no luck. Even the village seemed like a ghost town, with everyone either locked up in their duplexes, she supposed. Maybe the islanders were still reeling from the repurcussions of the Halloween Party, and to know how much power Moreau had over all them. ...The entire island had seemed to be drained of cheer, ever since that atmosphere of desparation and confusion had set in. ...And something about it made Emelyn yearn for company- any company, even of people she barely knew at all. So she headed to the only place she knew where a person would be- the laundry room.

She'd expected, however, to find only Joliette. "Oh," she said, seeing Ambrose there, and also a woman who was obviously transforming into a bat, who she'd not met. ...Were there so many on the island that she was unaware of. "What is this, a new hangout place?" She said, smiling.

Hargun Aikason
Hargun grinned. "Yea, Im sure you would Joliette. I probably wouldnt do so well even if I had human hands." she said laughing. It was the truth. She only ever had enough patience with drawing and any other activity she often gave up on. Though if she took Ambrose's offer shed at least have something interesting to do on the island. Besides, Amaya was taking his 'lessons'.

"Yah know though, I will consider it." she said with a nod. "It sounds pretty neat, and it wouldnt harm to at least try it."

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose shrugged. "Well, I guess I've just been in the highschool and college scene too long." He admitted. "Seems odd to me that a perfectly nice young woman such as youself hadn't. But then again, Greer admitted to a similar background, so perhaps I shouldn't find it quite so odd." He dusted off his hands, and turned to Hargun.

"Well, I understand if you're not interested, but if you are, I'd love to teach you - heck, anyone. Amaya could use someone to learn with." He grinned. "Maybe we could even start some sort of small club or leage or something.." He looked to Joliette. "You'd be more than welcome of course. I've got two extra sets of gear, and we could probably procure more through the labs."

Ambrose spun as he heard a familiar voice, his ears pricking and his tail giving a few wags. "Emelyn! I haven't seen you in a couple of days! How have you been?" He laughed. "Well, it always works like that, you see. No one needs to do laundry for some time, and then as soon as someone needs to, everyone does." he grinned.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette smiled "Thanks, I'll consider it, I think I need to procure more clothing first, three sets of clothings is just not gonna be enough to live on if I'm stuck here" she looked towards the door way, she thought for a moment for hte girls' name then heard ambrose say it "Hello again Emelyn" she greeted the female heading for her washer to transfer the clothing to a dryer

Emelyn
She smiled at Joliette, happy to note that her name had been remembered- and that the woman seemed to be in somewhat better spirits than before. Her eyes slid directly over to Ambrose, though glad to see him, but still admittedly a little unused to this more wolf-like appearance. She smiled, however, at the wagging tail, and tried not to laugh, knowing that then she'd probably be asked to explain her sudden mirth.

"Hello there," She said, both to Joliette and Ambrose, and stepping into the room towards the wolf. "I don't have any laundry to do. I was just looking for someone to keep me company." She didn't know if she actually wanted to stay, however, and she eyed Ambrose, thinking that she'd not actually seem him alone since the Halloween party.

Hargun Aikason
Hargun smiled and waved to the new person to the group she had yet to meet. Apparently though, she had been here for a while anyways, with some changes already. "Heya." she said smiling.

She turned back to Ambrose. "A club. Thatd be cool." she laughed.

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose nodded to Joliette. "Well, as much as I hate the bastards as much as anyone else here, the staff at least seem to listen to requests for material items. You might try asking them" He said with an honest shrug.

"well, let me know." Ambrose replied to Hargun. "I'm not exactly going anywhere." he said, trying to keep the bitterness from his voice.

"That's fine, Em." Ambrose said, walking closer, and catching the meaningful look. With a glance back to Hargun and Joliette, he smiled to Emelyn. "I'd be happy to join you for a walk.... if you'd like...?" He offered.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette walked back to beside Hargun "I'll have to keep that in mind, who do I ask?" she looked back and forth between the couple who looked like they would be wandering off soon and Hargun hoping beyond hope they did NOT say the white-haired man she currently hated

Emelyn
"A walk... would be lovely," Em said, beaming. She turned to Joliette, and waved- she would have said goodbye, but she was very much aware that she didn't know the other woman in the room, and that it would be rude to say goodbye to one without even introducing herself to the other. So she excused herself with a nice gesture, and a smiling nod at the other face, before turning back to the door to go.

Hargun Aikason
Hargun smiled even if they didnt get to introduce each other. She realized she and Ambrose 'had something'.. itd be rude to complain about not getting to know one another. She turned to Joliette. "She seems nice.. I suppose youve met her?" she asked.

Ambrose Maurlias
"Just dial zero on your intercom." Ambrose replied. "I'm not sure who you'll get, but they should be able to help you out." Ambrose offered to Joliette.

"And it was nice seeing you again, and you too, Hargun. I'll be back later two switch over my laundry." He waved, and jogged to catch up to Emelyn.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette nodded "All right" she said with a nod as they left, she looked at Hargun "I ran into her on my way in here, she pointed out to me where the laundry room was" she said once they were alone "turning into a ... hedgehog I think she said... too much info for just a couple short days to remember and keep straight" she said

Hargun Aikason
Hargun nodded. "Well I can understand."

She stared at Ambroses clothes tossing and turning about in the washer. "Hedgehog hm.. interesting." she said kinda focus on the laundry as it spun about.

Joliette Rigiel
She nodded "Yes... Well I dont want to keep you if you were about to head out earlier, course you are definetaly welcome to stay, I though out of everyone here I've gotten to kinda know you better then anyone else"

Hargun Aikason
Hargun chuckled. "Yea.. the next thing youll be knowing is my bloodtype, my family tree and my school records." she said and stood up. "I do think I should head out now. Told myself that after I walked Id get to straightening up my duplex. It gets in a messy state after running out like this alot." she said and walked towards the door and waved. "Ill see yah later."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette nodded "See you later Hargun" she said watching her leave, after waiting for her clothing to dry she too left the room heading back to her duplex

Joliette walked into her duplex and dropped the bag on the bed, she opened her bag pulling out her clean laundry working on folding it, she eyed the intercom, she wondered who she might get if she pressed that button... but she certainly could not get along with what little she had. With much hesitation she walked over to it and bit her lip pressing the 0

Sabin was leaning back in his chair as usual as he was stuck with monitering duty when he saw a flashing light indicating an incoming message. Looking at the duplex number a wide grin passed his face as he realized who it was. He had gotten a 'present' from miss Rigiel earler that day. Pressing the intercom buttom, Sabin's familiar French accent carried itself to Joliette's speaker. "Miss. Rigiel! Finding yourself setting in well?" There was a teasing note undisguised in his voice.

Joliette's small smile disappeared "Hello" she said dryly "As for settling in I don't seem to have much choise now do I"

There was a mirthful laugh followed by a "Not really, no. Not when you put it like that. I got your little present, Miss Rigiel. Now that wasn't really necessary, now was it? I thought it was a perfectly entertaining read."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it" she said putting down the shirt she was holding eyeing hte intercom with distaste "That kinda thing can happen when you decieve people"

"Yes... yes, I suppose it can" He said musingly. "But otherwise we would have had to chase you down with our speedboats and guns. And that wouldn't have been very pleasant, now would it?"

"No, but least I wouldn't have been decieved, I would have known what I was facing... Instead of having to be told by another person in this village after making myself look like an idiot" she said trying to keep a level voice

"Well, everyone on the Island has been an idiot at one point or another. Besides, like I said, it was the easiest way to get you secured and minimizing the manhandling. You're a bright, inquisitive girl, I figured you'd piece things together fast enough. I have to hand it to you, you put the pieces toegether a lot faster than the blonde actor boy or the gangster! But maybe you're right. Maybe next time I'll just be perfectly honest with the person. See if they even believe me! That might be quite entertaining. Thank you, Joliette!"

Joliette rolled her eyes "Glad to be of service" she mumbled "I didn't exactly press this 0 to give people entertaining ideas"

"Ah, well, there are always perks. Though I must admit I was rather dissapointed to hear that you spoiled my ruse to Awen and Hargun. Pity, really. So enlighten me. Why DID you push the button?"

"Looking for clothing, I dont exactly want to be doing laundry every other day, and as you obviously emptied off my boat I have everything I had on the boat which isn't much" she said glad to be off the previous topic

"Clothes, eh?" Sabin smirked on his end of the intercom, ideas tossing about in his head. Moreau told them to in general see to the subjects' needs and requests. "I think we could do something about that."

"Thankyou... Think you could find a way that I could develop film too?" she asked him with little hope in her mind of getting the answer she hoped for since her parcel amused him so greatly

Sabin chewed on the inside of his lip before stopping suddenly as he cut his cheek. She heard a small "merde" crackle over the intercom before the reply. "What sort of equipment do you need?"

"A darkroom, the proper redlights, developing chemicals, trays, exposing machine, photo paper, and eventually more film should I run out of my supply" she said laughing inwardly at his 's**t' that snuck through the speaker

Sabin ran a hand through his hair. That was no small request, to be certain. But... he looked at the records... there was no one slated for the room above Joliette yet... He chewed on his lip. "I'll have to ask Moreau to be certain, but I might be able to see to something. In the meantime. There is building material in the storage room of the Town Hall. You could see about boarding up the windows in the floor above you. No one lives there."

She looked above her picturing the possibility "Well that will keep me busy anyways..." she paused for a moment knowing she'd have to say something she didn't want to "Thankyou" damn her parents for raising her proper

Sabin grinned at the obligatory thanks. "Oh, my pleasure" Sabin rolled out, as he grabbed one of the order forms. "If you could get me a list of the specific chemicals and so forth you'll need... that would be helpful."

Sabin wasn't heartless... though he was taking a decided turn for the malicious the longer he had been here. But he would help her with her darkroom. Her clothes, however, left leeway for entertainment.

"I will I have to go through a book to get the exacts" she said catching his tone interpreting it as sarcasm but doing her best to ignore it

"Do you have what you need to let me know? Otherwise I can look into photo developing information, but my knowledge in that area is lacking and my decisions may not be the most educated." Sabin said, humoring her here, his brain already going to work on her other request with a mirthful smile.

"A way to get in up there would be helpful, as for what I need to find my info, yes I have some information in one of my many cases here" she said with a nod looking towards her cases

Sabin hit a few keys on the keyboard. "There you go, it's unlocked. I'll have the keys delivered to you so you can lock it at your leisure." Joliette would be able to detect a subtle note of gloating at the power he commanded. "And in that case, just let me know!"

"Yes, thankyou" she was pretty sure she was done, and she wished someone else had answered.. though she did have to admit.. it could have gone worse

Building Supplies and a Darkroom!
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

~ After a while in the main building ~

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette was well, a lil excited... Least she could keep doing what she loved, at least until she was no longer able to, she hoped that would be never. She searched around the main building in search of hte building supplies she had been told were there, she had her bag with her along with some paper and her couple of photography books and a pen.

She did eventually find it and put her bag down outside the door beginning to rummage through the store room for lumber and a hammer among other things, it was doubtful she WASN'T making a racket as she moved through it all sorting out what she'd need and what would be useful

Soon she was looking down at a pile of supplies having counted the number of windows she needed to block out the light "Ok I think thats enough now" Shouldering her bag she picked as much as she possibly could up and tongue stuck out the corner of her mouth she headed out of hte building slowly heading for her duplex trying to keep it all balanced

Emerwyn
Emerwyn recoiled when she emerged from her duplex, not used to direct sunlight.
Her animal instincts couldn't bear to be shut indoors for so long, but the human in her, all of those bothersome emotions that had turned her so reclusive, kept her in.
Finally, she could bear it no more. Squinting in the sunlight, she saw a person up ahead. A stranger, by the looks of it. A stranger who was struggling with a heavy load. Emerwyn figured she should go and help, for however she could.
If this person was a newcomer, she hoped she wouldn't frighten her by her appearance. And if she had already seen other affected inhabitants, Emerwyn still hoped she wouldn't frighten her. Emerwyn was not looking her best these days.
"Hello there!" she croaked. Her voice was still getting used to speaking. "Need a hand?"

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette stopped and looked around for hte voice "Hello, yes sure, I think I got more then I could carry" she said her own thick British accent just as obvious as the one she was getting from the girl with the frog in her throat. She didn't speak too soon in her words as a couple boards proceeded to slip off hte top of her pile "Woahhh"

Emerwyn
Emerwyn dashed forward to catch the falling boards. However, barely being used to supporting her own weight, it proved more than difficult. After securing two in her grip, she failed to stop a third from falling to the ground. She was on her knees with the two boards in her lap, picking up the third one. It was a feat to swoop down to catch them, seeing as this young woman was easily more than a foot shorter than Emerwyn.
She laughed softly as she got to her feet. "Let me take these for you. Where are you off to?"
She was inwardly very excited to hear quite plainly that this girl was from her homeland.

Joliette Rigiel
"Heading for Duplex 28 right above mine, I'm boarding up the windows" she said sounding grateful for the help, "I'm Joliette" she said introducing herself as she shifted the pile re-balancing it in her arms. and smiling in her building-supply-rescuer's direction

Emerwyn
"Emerwyn."
She walked along with Joliette, trying to keep pace. Even the smallest loads were cumbersome to her.
"Boarding up the windows? What for?"

Joliette Rigiel
"Nice to meet you" she said with a smile. Joliette didn't walk fast, she wanted to make sure she didn't drop anything "I'm turning it into a darkroom" she said the edge of enthusiasm creeping into her voice. She was so very looking forward to doing something productive

Emerwyn
"A darkroom? You're a photographer, then." She didn't know the first thing about the process of traditional photography, but she did know what a darkroom was.

Joliette Rigiel
"Yep, was a photo journalist before I got stuck here, came to this area looking for a scoop... found an island and got decieved instead" she sighed

Emerwyn
"I'm sorry. That- that man has deceived many people. So, I take it you've already learned the nature of this hell-on-earth?" After all, Joliette hadn't reacted harshly to Emerwyn's blackened fingers, and large, furry ears.

Joliette Rigiel
"Yes I have Amaya told me, I didn't even know I had been injected until Amaya told me to look" she sighed and glanced over at her. "It is certainly not how I want to spend the rest of my life" she said hesitant to ask what Emerwyn was becoming unsure if that was a sensitive subject

Emerwyn
"You're not alone, trust me." She sighed heavily. "There's a lot that was taken from us. And it's not fair. No one deserves this."
She started to regain her composure. "When did you arrive?"

Joliette Rigiel
"A few days ago, saw the isle from a distance out in my yacht with my lens, saw Vasile on the beach too, came closer..." she sighed "And wound up on the isle by falling for Doctor Duvert's ploy of an exclusive of an upcoming new movie secretly being shot here"

Emerwyn
It was disgusting. Every time she heard a story of their treahery, her blood boiled.
How many more would be caught in this trap?
"You were alone on your yacht? That is to say, no one could have returned home and reported you disapearance?" Emerwyn's own ship had crashed; she was the only survivor. She was always looking for a thread of hope that this menace would be caught.

In the meantime, she kept it in the back of her head to ask who Dr. Duvert was. She had never met any other doctors on the Island other than Moreau himself.

Joliette Rigiel
She nodded "Yes I work better alone, I was about three days out of cell range when I found this isle, my editor knew I went looking for a scoop, but not exactly where to the button, He thought I was crazy, following rumors about the bermuda triangle and Vasile DiRossi's disappearance in it, how I would love to throw that doubt in his face right about now" she sighed "Instead I'm stuck here turning into whatever they injected me with. an injection I did not take by choise I might add, didn't even know I had it" she blushed slightly "I'm sorry I shouldn't be wittering on"

Emerwyn
The non-existant hope died quickly. He was too good.
"Don't think on it. We all need to vent somehow." Emerwyn nodded. "Myself, I was passed out when I got the initial injection. The b*****d passed it off as a vaccine. I can't believe I ever believed a word he said."

Joliette Rigiel
She shook her head "Yeah I got the immunization story, but I turned him down, I dont believe in those, then I got sick" she said with a sarcastic edge "I wont be shocked at all if they caused me to become that way so they could get away with their injection and taking me out of the building" she sighed and looked forward to the building she was heading for

Emerwyn
Emerwyn made a noise of disgust.
She hoped they would reach her duplex soon. She was growing very weary, very fast. She wasn't sure how much longer she could bear the load.

Joliette Rigiel
"I tore up his 'script' and sent it back yesterday, he told me today he found it amusing" she said stopping at hte bottom of the stairs that led up to 28 "We can leave hte wood here or take it to the top don't matter to me" she said knowing to climb stairs she'd have to put some down anyways

Emerwyn
"Why don't we take it up in trips?" Emerwyn was resolved in continuing to help, however weary she was.
"By the way. This Doctor Duvert... I've never met, or seen, or even heard of him before. Who is he?" Anyone who worked for Moreau had to be as evil, and at least as psychotic.

Joliette Rigiel
She put down her pile and picked up just a few "Doctor Sabin Duvert, A weird man with very tacky tourist like clothing and white hair, french accent" she said with obvious distaste as she started up the stairs

Emerwyn
Emerwyn snorted. "Oh, the French." Everyone's a little bit racist. "They're crass ways never ceased to amaze me. Forgive me. That was a little rash." She put down a couple of boards herself. "I've had bad experiences with the French growing up."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette looked back at her a look of displeasure on her face for a moment. "So do you think I am crass" she asked trying now to keep a poker face as she asked her question

Emerwyn
Emerwyn's face flushed, and the blood rushed to her ears. She almost dropped the boards she was carrying. She had no idea! "Oh, my god!... I-i'm sorry... I didn't realize you were.... I'm... I'm sorry." Emerwyn was so flustered. She hated insulting people, and always felt very, very guilty.

Joliette Rigiel
"Yes I'm french, my parents took me to Britain when I was two and thats where I grew up" she said with a softer tone "You are forgiven, you weren't to know where I was born or my heritage, you just met me" she gave Emerwyn a smile and put the boards down on the upper deck and turned the knob to open the door so Emerwyn could get in

Emerwyn
"Thank you," she said, entering the room.
While she relieved herself of her load, she went on. "I still shouldn't have spoken in such a manner at all. This whole place is making me into a much different person than I had been before."

Joliette Rigiel
"From what I've noticed it's doing it to a lot of people, Ambrose says he and Greer dont usually have arguements with people like the one I saw just a day or two ago in the cafeteria... He certainly looks interesting... all that fur and all" she said moving her pile just inside the unit putting it against a wall

Emerwyn
"Fur... I can't say I have much yet in the way of it, but it's certainly something to get used to..."
She thought of Ambrose and Greer.
"They are both very kind people. A couple of the earliest I'd met here. It's sad to hear that they are not themselves either." She paused for a moment. "Has Ambrose changed again? Last time I'd seen him, he didn't have much fur at all." She began to head back to the doorway to get more boards.

Joliette Rigiel
"From head to toe and everything in between from what I saw" Joliette nodded following Emerwyn back out the door, only seen a couple people that look that... changed, him and Hargun, course Hargun, well I thought she was wearing a costume first time I met her" she said weakly "I feel like a stupide arse for all that"

Emerwyn
"I see." Emerwyn felt grave. Soon, she would look like that as well, and then, she'd turn even further into an animal. What if those who'd become predators attacked the others? It was a frightful thought. She tried to continue the conversation. "You have no idea what you're going to become?" She remembered her first two weeks. Maybe she shouldn't tell Joliette how long it usually took before the first change. Knowing made it worse for Emerwyn.

Joliette Rigiel
She shook her head "No I dont know, I'm not sure I want to know, I have a bad feeling it will have been based on the fact I'm vegan, Sabin did not seem to like that very much, it's the reason I turned down his immunization" she bit her lip and picked up some more boards

Emerwyn
Emerwyn fully agreed and wouldn't put it past Moreau or his cohorts to be so spiteful. She didn't say anything on the matter, however.
"According to a ... a friend," Emerwyn's heart ached. "I'm turning into a... cervid. Like, a deer, or something."

Joliette Rigiel
"A deer of sorts? I'm sorry, I feel sorry for anyone in our position regardless how far along they are" she sighed softly

Emerwyn
"Just being here is enough to be sorry for." Emerwyn tried to think of a way to lighten up the conversation, but found she was having trouble.
It was a wonder she hadn't ahd a coughing spurt yet. Maybe the two weeks' rest in her room did her some good, after all.

Joliette Rigiel
She nodded and decided to change the topic "So what kinds of things do you like, like hobbies and such" she made her attempt kinda blatently as she made her way back up the steps

Emerwyn
Emerwyn was thankful Joliette had at least thought of something.
"I'm a writer, mostly. I like to write poetry, free verse, and other prose. I used to work in a book shop in New York."

Joliette Rigiel
"Sounds very creative, seems like there are a few different kinds of arists here, graphic, literature and photographic, and thats just the ones I've managed to have a conversation with, I'd love to see some of your work one day" she said with a smile entering the unit and putting the boards down looking back at Emerwyn

Emerwyn
Emerwyn helped bring in the last of the boards. "That would be nice. Once you're 'studio' is up and running, I'd like to see some of your photography, too."
The physical strain, though it was complete, had taken quite a toll on Emerwyn. For her first day back in the outside world, she had overworked herself. She sighed, rubbed her back, and coughed a little.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette smiled "You will be most welcome to, ta for your assistance it was truly appreciated." she watched her new-found friend and hoped she'd be ok

Emerwyn
"Any time," she said, as long as it's not now.
She sighed again. "I'd really better eat something, get some rest. I haven't been in my best form lately."

Joliette Rigiel
"All right" she said "I'm in the unit below this one if you ever feel like looking me up" she said with a nod "I hope you are doing better, or at least the best you can be soon"

Emerwyn
"Thanks. It was a pleasure meeting you, to be sure!"
She waved as she exitted the room.

Emerwyn was glad that she'd met someone else so kind-hearted and good-spirited, but was even more sad to think that one more kind and good person had their lives taken from them.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette watched her leave and sat down on the bed she knew she would have to move out to work on her list

Sabin, meanwhile, still on monitering duty was positively rolling in laughter as he, wiping tears of mirth from his eyes, watched Joliette's increasing frustration at his clothing selection that he was quite proud of.

Oh, he'd get her the proper camera equipment. If Sabin was correct in his predictions, seeing reminders of who they used to be would only punctuate the problem of the subjects.

Sabin, however, quite contentedly, and drifting further into his own personal 'dark side', had settled on a "project" - as part of his mind had coined the term a very long time ago. Ah... it had been so long since he had had one... and it felt good.

Darkroom List

She was somewhat calmer when she left the shower and dressed, she eyed her list "Guess I better get that list dropped off, bloody git better get that stuff right..." she grumbled and folded the paper in half and wrote on it, she didn't care how messy the writing was as she was still in a bad mood.

Note on outside of paper
ATTN: Monsieur Duvert
As per request.
List of required necessities for the darkroom...

Joliette...

She didn't even think him worth putting the title of Mr to she was so ticked off. She went over the list one more time as she walked out the door to take the list to the same place she'd dropped off the box

Darkroom List

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette decided she wanted to get out her frustrations towards Sabin and right then.. that venting of frustrations came in the form of tearing apart Duplex 28. She'd spent part of her morning simply stripping everything down and throwing bedding and other stuff in a corner of hte room, she had the supplies needed to board up the window and currently was in the process of pushing hte matress out of hte duplex on it's side aiming to push it over the balcony. It was her unit below so she wasn't entirely concerned just how much noise she made

Awen Zyn
Noise, was not the problem for Awen. However the heavy matress falling fro mthe balcony above, was. She didn't really notice at first, just another day just another walk around town. She heard something stuffling up in the top duplex and when she looked up and saw... that new girl, Joli... why did she have a matress....

Awen blinked a moment her brain not quite seeing what came next. And throwing it over the si--

"Hey!" Wumph. "Ow...."

Shimmying herself from out of the matress and looked up. "Fine way to greet a neighbour!" She laughed lightly.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette blinked she had been in the process of turning around and going back inside. Instead, hearing the voice, she turned back and looked over the edge of the balcony "Oh no, I am sorry Awen, I didn't think anyone would be down there" she looked a lil embarrassed for the occurance "Are you all right?"

Awen Zyn
Awen laughed softly and stood up, brushing herself off. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine Joliette." SHe raised an eyebrow. "What exactly are you doing up there anyway?" She asked a little confused. "Won't you need this (She kicked the matress) if you're living in the duplex?"

Joliette Rigiel
"Oh this isn't my duplex" Joliette said with a smile "That one is" she pointed dowards to the lower duplex, "This one I'm emptying out, well of the bed and other things like that, the bed is in the way" she was glad she had yet to have gotten to the boxspring, that would have hurt more then the top

Awen Zyn
"Hold on a second." She said and moved towards the stairs. She didn't get it, if the bottom duplex was her's how can she be moving stuff in the top duplex. Why did she get two duplexes? What kind of thing was she planning...? Did any of hte staff even approve this?

But she held her questions in as she got to the door. The numbers 28 proudly displayed and peered inside and let out a low whistle. "Looks worse than Jamal's place!" She laughed a little bit.

She paused and hesitated before looking back to Joli. "What..exactly are you doing anyway...? Shouldn't this be... uh. someone else's duplex?"

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette laughed looking around hte duplex herself, boxspring on end ready for moving, any furniture other then the armchair and dresser ready for removal as well, the dresser and armchair had been stuffed in a far corner and there was a pile of wood and container of nails a hammer and other building stuff "I'm building a darkroom, can't have a bed in a darkroom. I wont have an upstairs neighbour save for chemicals and film and photo paper and stuff

Awen Zyn
"Oh I see... I guess the Doc had to have approved this then..." She mumbled. She scratched behind her ear a little bit. "No neighbour? That doesn't sound too pleasant if you ask me. I don't have one yet and, while the peace is nice.... It gets kinda I dunno too quiet. Sometimes you just need to hear someone else shuffling around you, you know?"

But she shruged a little bit. "To each their own though." Smiling she added. "Need any help?"

Joliette Rigiel
"Duvert did" she nodded with obvious distaste in her voice when she spoke the name "bloody gormless arse" she muttered "Neighbours could be nice yes, though I can hear Chubbs next door when he's singin in the shower so it's not all that quiet. I guess I was simply lucky, I could have been turned down all together for a darkroom, though I will admit I hadn't expected a whole duplex for it." She looked around "Sure if you wanna help, I'm just hauling out hte extra furniture right now"

Awen Zyn
"Chubbs?" She asked quickly, but just as quickly let it drop. Must be someone new...

She nodded and headed inside looking for something to move. Not being that much bigger than the girl she wasn't sure all what they could haul out on their own. Heck Awen was impressed she got the matress out honestly, those things culd be heavy...especially when they fell on you....

"You know..." Awen said tentively. "Sabin isn't so bad... Once you get to know him a little better."

Joliette Rigiel
"Yeah right... ask for clothing get a pile of naff useless junk, stuff I could never and would never wear" She said looking down right seething at the thought. she moved for the boxspring tempted to punch it but didn't

Awen Zyn
She raised an eyebrow a little bit. "Here... let's get the desk.." She said and moved over to take one side of the desk.

"Well, did you tell Sabin what sorts of clothes? If you just said clothes that's not saying a lot. I mean, the guy seems to be a little..sheltered from what I know of him from the fashion world. Maybe he just didn't know what to get you, and has a different fashion sense than you?" She tilted her head a little bit.

Joliette Rigiel
She moved to the other side of hte desk picking it up "Noone said I needed to be specific, he saw me when I arrived he knows what I where, he knows I'm a vegan, so he sends me carnivore logoed shirts a shirt that insults my profession jeans that are obviously for a slag snowshoes and these leather numbers that are aweful, oh not to mention a buttonup shirt that would fit about 5 of me at the same time" she looked less then amused as she listed the clothing

Awen Zyn
Awen shrugged a little bit. "What's wrong with carnivores on shirts? They're just animals, regaurdless of what you eat you can't expect, like, a tiger to not eat meat. It's their nature, so the carnivore logoed shirts I wouldn't really take to heart, vegan or not." She started moving with the desk, backwards towards the door. "I don't know your profession exactly and tpo be honest I have no idea what a slag is."

She sighed a little bit. Why exactly was she defending Sabin anyway...? "And besides the button up shirt could have been meant for a long nightshirt. What's wrong with leath--vegan right never mind that one. And hey Snowshoes do make good decoration items. You said clothes you never said what for."

Maybe Awen had watched too many evil genie movies with her father when she was a kid, or just knew how to pick out the flaws in wordings. After all she was screwed over here because the Doctor never lied to her.

Joliette Rigiel
"They didn't have animals on them Awen, one had a steak and the other a saying about reaching the top of the foodchain." she sighed "A slag is like a... prostitute in other places language... And I'm a photo journalist by trade" she shook her head she really didn't wanna take this out on Awen. "I think I'll wait and hope next time I try I do not get him again, I swear I think he has a vandeta out against me"

Awen Zyn
"I wouldn't take it too personally..." Awen smiled. "He probably jut meant it as a joke! He was talking to me at the party and was musing about me turning into a fish!" She paused for a second. "Oh right, hydrophobe by the way."

She made it out the door and with a bit of quick hand shifting managed not to get her fingers caught between the doorframe and the desk. "I mean, it's just the way he jokes. It's nothing personal, seriously. Ask again but this time be more specific." Her smile brightened.

Maybe she was defending Sabin because she wanted to think not all the staff are rude callous stuck up...snobs?

Joliette Rigiel
"I wouldn't put it past the strange doctor to have been telling you the truth Awen" she said "I'll try again, just not right away, and pray I do not get him if I try again" She stuck her tongue out hte corner of her mouth as they squeezed through the door "this can probably stay on the balcony for now, I might find a use for it"

Awen Zyn
She laughed a little bit, trying to ignore the 'he might have been right' statement. "Well better here than on someone's head eh?" She grinned and set down her end. Moving back into the duplex she looked around.

"I don't think we could take that dresser... I don't even knwo if it would fit through the door." She frowned a little in concentration. "And I dunno, I'd keep that chair in the corner, even darkrooms need a little bit of comfort, right?"

She smiled and looked back to Joliette. "I really admire people who can take good pictures though. Mine always end up having a thumb in the way, or the wrong angle or something like that."

Joliette Rigiel
"Oh the dresser is staying I'm going to use it for it's drawers and the working surface atop of it, chair stays too" she looks around "Boxspring, well I might need stronger help for that one if I dont want it to land on anyone." she looked at Awen "Thanks, I would like to take pictures of people I meet here, if they'll let me, I have Vasile and Hargun on film, and maybe Sabin and the lady doctor, but thats it"

Awen Zyn
She nodded again she Joliette told her plans for the remaining furniture. "I'm sure Jamal would give you a hand. I'll ask him about that..."

She stretched a little bit. "Guess until we get some help though that's all we can do. And hey when you're stuff is developped I'd like to see them. But I don't know if too many people would want their picture taken... with what the Doc is doing here and all..."

Joliette Rigiel
She nodded "we'll see I guess, it's up to each person" she reached for her hammer and picked it up tapping her fingers on the head as she looked at the windows "If he wants to help that would be nice" she smiled

Awen Zyn
"Well no promises or anything." She grinned a little bit. "But I'm sure I can talk him into it."

She shifted her weight uncomfortably now that they're done what Awen came up to help with she doesn't know what to do. "So... Besides, the obvious, how's the island treating you?"

Joliette Rigiel
"All right I suppose, everyone I've met and had a chance to talk to has been really nice, well all the islanders anyways" she said picking up a board and walking over to the nearest window that had black paper over it "For you?" she asked putting the board beside the window

Awen Zyn
"Well uh..." She really had to think about that one for a little bit. How was her time on the island so far? Just little over a month... how was the time spent?

"Pretty good, met a lot of nice people... the food's been great. And hey the entertainment room got some new games every now and then too." She smiled a little bit. "And hey, I met Jamal, that's a plus." Wow...she just.keeps gushing about that didn't she?

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette looked back at her "that was a near swoon there, for the Jamal fellow" she chuckled moving another board to another papered up window. "Are you a couple?"

Awen Zyn
Awen blushed. "Uh...well yeah..that's" She chuckled a little bit. "That's right." It wasn't a swoon though was it? She couldn't have been that obvious really. "She scratched the back of her neck. "Just recently... I mean I usually don't get into things so quickly but...eh I dunno.."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette chuckled softly at her bashfulness "Well at least something good of being stuck here, I wish you lots of luck with that, happiness is important" She dropped into the armchair and leaned on her knees. "So what brought you to the isle anyways"

Awen Zyn
She shifted a little bit and went to lean on a wall. "Therapy..." She said and bit the side of her cheek a little bit. "Came to get rid of my hydrophobia..."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette nodded "I guess it hasn't gone according to plans so far..." she said quietly, she was beginning to wonder just how many facades there being thought up to get people to the isle

Awen Zyn
She smiled a little bit distantly. "Well, you know, it has been going according to plan." She laughed a little bit. "Being surrounded by the salty stuff has helped.... despite what the Doctor's done he's right being here is helping my hydrophobia. He never lied to me at all...."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette nodded wondering to herself if her therapy description had included being turned into an animal "Well I'm glad you haven't suffered that same fate as the rest of us who have been lied to"

Awen Zyn
"Well.... Same fate all around. I wasn't lied to, but the perfect truth wasn't told either." She sighed a little and looked up....down at the girl. "But like your little clothing problem I didn't know enough to be specific. I said therapy, he said experimental technique, some drugs may be required. I didn't ask questions. My fault, not Moreau's."

Joliette Rigiel
"I still have yet to meet this Moreau fellow, I'm starting to get the feeling though that I wouldn't want to" she sighed "So many people here really hate him from what I've seen, and I can't say I'm not one of his fans"

Awen Zyn
"Apart from the turning people to animals Moreau...isn't that bad." She turned her gaze out the door. She really didn't want to be labeled as pro-doc, but it's true he's not that bad. "He provides a lot of stuff for us. Good food, good placed to stay, we even had a halloween party." She looked back to Joli. "This darkroom had to have been approved by the Doc himself. I mean he could have just tricked us here, or kidnapped us and then put us in cages. But he's really trying, you know."

Joliette Rigiel
"I'm not going to say one way or another about him himself since I have not met him, I'll just reserve judgement on that. But I will admit I am glad they approved this darkroom" she nodded "I guess it's all I really can do in here for now, I'll work on the boards a little later, in te mean time I'm hungry.. you?"

Awen Zyn
"Hm? Actually... I was just coming back from getting some food..." She said a little sheepishly. "Sorry." She chuckled a little bit. "And ...yeah..."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette nodded standing up "Well I would like a salad... Thanks for your help" she said with a smile pulling keys from a pocket

Awen Zyn
Awen smiled and nodded. "Hope you have a good meal." She walked out of the duplexand paused a second turning to look back at her. "Try to enjoy the island... Worryin' ain't gonna make nothin' better.'" She said in quotation to Jamal once again.

Grinning to herself for sounding a little more ghetto than before when she said that she waved and headed out once more.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette smiled and nodded following her out "I'll try, talk to you soon Awen" she said locking the door behind her

Joliette watched Awen leave and decided to make a stop in her room before going to the cafeteria, mainly to clean up from what she'd been doing in the duplex above her, it wasn't long before she was wandering out of her bathroom drying her hands on a towel

As Joliette stopped by her duplex, a crackling noise came over her intercome before a familiar French-accented voice spoke over it.

"Miss Rigiel, just so you know, I've made the order, and your things should be here by Wednesday at the latest."

... and then it was silent.

Joliette blinked, how had he known she was there... She looked around thouroughly confused and scratched her temple "Uhhh ta" she replied quietly, well she supposed regardless how he knew she was there news of the supplies coming would be good to know, as well as it gave her a timeline for getting the room ready

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette left her duplex looking rather perplexed, but nothing overspoke her stomach right then. So instead of sitting in her duplex and stewing over the puzzle she left her duplex hands in pockets and headed for the cafeteria

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile was heading his way to the cafetaria as well, Brutus, his miniscule dog, following behind him on his leash.

He spotted the small woman and bit his bottom lip. Pappratzi or not, she wasn't going anywhere with those pictures annyway. And sadly, he would have just LOVED for those pics to show up on PEOPLE Magazine. Scandal or not.. at least people would be out looking for him.

"Uh, hi.." he called to her.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette looked up and around, the star, well this could be interesting she thought to herself "Hello" she said stopping so that he may catch up with her should he want to. She pulled a scrunchie from her pocket and pulled her hair back tying it in a ponytail

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile took his place beside her, pulling Brutus away from her ankles to aviod any temptation.

"Heya...uhm... I'm sorry about your boat." He didn't want to flat out asked if she's been told yet.. but generally unless she had been hiding under a rock...

Joliette Rigiel
"Trust me, so am I" she said with a sigh, "I can't say I would have expected anyone to take apart a yacht for the sake of keeping someone somewhere" she stuffed her hands back into her pockets "But what is done.. well as much as I dont like it I can't change it" she eyed his little dog for a moment not really all that concerned about it just yet

Vasile DiRossi
"I think too many people have this.. 'I can't change it' attitude' Vasile sighed. "We should stage a mutiny."

Then he looked her over. She was fairy cute, after all. "I don't think we've been properly introduced. I'm Vasile DiRossi... but you knew that." He extended a clawed hand to her.

Joliette Rigiel
She chuckled "yeah mutiny would be nice, I have no desire to be a part of their experiments" she looked up at him and then took his hand "Joliette Rigiel" she said introducing herself properly to him her grip steady and firm dispite her size

Vasile DiRossi
She had an accent, too. Definately sexy. "Nice to meet you, Joliette." He looked her over again, especially at her arm. "Have they already... you know..?"

Joliette Rigiel
"Unfortunately yes, found that out when I found out the truth behind this island" she admitted "I turned him down for his immunization when I got here, I would imagine he gave it to me after I blacked out"

Vasile DiRossi
"Blacked out..?"

Vasile shook his head. "The lying sons of bitches. They told me I was getting an immuization, too."

He looked back to her. "Hey - on the boat you mentioned something abuot ... my death?" He seemed to pale a bit. "What do they say happened to me?"

Joliette Rigiel
"Yes, I started feeling very ill in Sabin's office and he was taking me to see a medical team and I blacked out on the way. Immunizations, I've heard thats what they tell everyone... and it seems we both fell for the same ruse.. a movie" she sighed "Hmm? oh yes, your flight disappeared in the bermuda triangle and searches have been fruitless and have turned up nothing so you were presumed dead."

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile growled. "Dead. They faked my death? Who could have done that? I mean, it had to be more than just Moreau... wouldn't it have to be? Why would someone DO that to me?"

Joliette Rigiel
"I am uncertain, only to know your last movie topped the charts for a long time, not to mention make your manager one of the most sought after managers in hollywood. Hopefully more people decide to challenge the truth behind the bermuda triangle." she sighed "Who knows what we'll all be like by the time that happens though"

Vasile DiRossi
"You think... my manager had something to do with this? What that ungrateful inbreed.." his lips curled up into a snarl - but then he stopped himself and shook his head. "Ugh, not that it really matters now," he huffed, tying Brutus's leash to a post outside the cafeteria.

"Care to join me for lunch?"

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette shrugged, she really hadn't looked into much about his manager, least not THAT in depth "Sure, I was heading in that direction anyways" she said with a nod temporarily forgetting about her previous train of thought

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile gave a dashing smile and slipped his arm around her shoulder. "Allright then, we have such fine dining here. Thats saracasm, of course... but it grows on you."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette laughed "Long as it's grown from the ground or a tree I'm happy" she told him. Ordinary she was very much into personal space, but she decided to let it go, she doubted anything bad would happen, least not with him

Vasile DiRossi
"Ah, you're a vegan, then?" Vasile asked. He had lived in Hollywood long enough to at least be familiar with every kind of strange and wild diet out there. "Or, uh, one of those whole-foods kind of person. Ya know.. nuts and fruits and coconut milk?"

The cafetaria was empty, the small buffet presenting todays selections. There was some kind of a caserole for the entre, and then its usual selection of fruits, veggies, beverages.

Joliette Rigiel
"Vegan yes, have been for a few years now" she confirmed as she perused the selection ahead of them opting for a fruit salad. "Eat healthy and do not harm animals... it's the reason I turned down that 'immunization' irony hits in that though I suppose"

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile poked around, gathering a small selection of what was available. "I work out too much to go Vegan. I need lots of protein, and the soy stuff just doesn't cut it for me. Plus, to be honest, I just like the taste." He flashed a fanged grin at her. "More so now, it seems. But its not as bad as Ambrose. He's lost most of his taste for fruit and veggies. I haven't really.. lost my taste for antthing."

He popped a peice of melon in his mouth. "Hopefully you'll be lucky and get like.. a rabbit or something."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette nodded "I can hope, but with the reception I got I wont get my hopes too high. " she smiled and headed for a table with her plate "What is it you are.. changing to" she hoped he would not get too upset at that question

Vasile DiRossi
A frown tugged at the corner of his mouth. "I don't know for sure," he said as he took a seat next to her. "I went up to the labs to ask once, with a friend of mine who's turning into a snake-bird. But I got so caught up into what was happening with her, I kind of forget to ask. She was losing her legs, so she was pretty upset.

Ambrose says its definately canine. Maybe another wolf, or a fox. But I have a fear its a maltese."

Joliette Rigiel
"A snake-bird? well I can't say I've run into her yet" she mused "If she's losing her legs I can't say I blame her though for being upset. Canine seems a certain.." she looks him over "something with silver I guess" she pondered that thought as she took a bite of her food

Vasile DiRossi
"Yeah, she can pretty reclusive. She's in a wheelchair, now. I guess thats got to be pretty hard. Ambrose says I should consider myself lucky considering the circumstances. I guess he's right.. but then he changed again and looks.. so different. So I'm kind of freaked out again."

He looked her over and watched her eat, and he took a few bites himself. "At least you seem to be handling it rather well. I made myself look a completely fool for the first couple of weeks. I told everyone that they were being too incharacter."

Joliette Rigiel
She chuckled "I tried to be professional, keep distance and such, Amaya told me the truth the next day, it made your actions and everyone's desire for my boat make sense. Though I dont think it really sunk in till after that huge arguement the other day. I'm just worried Sabin chose something that doesn't eat vegetables, he certainly seemed to hate the fact I am vegan when I was in his office." she sighed

Vasile DiRossi
"Just be lucky it wasn't Moreau himself. He's more off his rocker than that Sabin fellow. The only person who seems to have a right head is this Doctor Lockheart person. Until you find out she's boinking the doctor, and that kind of speaks for her sanity right there."

He put a clawed hand on her shoulder and gave it a small squeeze. "Well, that'll take some getting used to, I'm sure. But like.. they have vegitarian dog food and stuff, you know? I'm sure of you're careful with your protien intake you can stay a vegan. I mean.. he doesn't turn us into complete animals." At least.. not yet.

Joliette Rigiel
"Guess only time will tell" she said looking at him with a nod and a smile, she hadn't been sure this conversation would be one she'd want to have with him after their previous encounter. She looked at him as if pondering something, then spoke "You know, your hair does look better that length then the length you had it in most of your hollywood carreer"

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile gave a rueful smile and ran his fingers through it. "Yeah? You're not the first person to tell me so. Its growing on me. Even if it is ... grey at the roots."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette laughed "Don't think of them as grey, think of them as silver, as well as making your hairstyle, well.. unique" she leaned on the table looking over at him

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile looked back at her, his smile turning smug. Old habit die hard. Very hard. "I like the way you think," he purred at her, scooted closer. "Anyway, I guess I should be saying thank you for the compliment. I guess I really should consider myself pretty lucky. At least for now."

Joliette Rigiel
She chuckled "I suppose thats the artist inside me, Unique is good, sets one apart from the rest." she listened to the intersting purr emenating from him "And you are welcome for the compliment Vasile"

Vasile DiRossi
"Artist, hmm..." he leaned a bit. "So do you have any other...talebts besides taking pictires of missing celebrities?" he let his eyebrows raise with a seductive undertone to his voice.

Joliette Rigiel
"Just photography and martial arts, I spent too much time behind the viewfinder to develop any others" she said with a smile, call her naive but she hadn't caught his undertone as he spoke

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile lets a thought slip through his head, and used the martial arts comment to let him get away with obviously letting his eyes linger over her figure. "I bet you're limber," he smiled, taking in her petite size. "You carry yourself with a certain aire... to be honest I figured you must work out somehow. I was guessing martial arts or yoga."

Joliette Rigiel
"Never had patience for yoga, probably wouldn't had had for martial arts either if mom and dad hadn't insisted I would take them" she said shifting in her seat a little, she saw his looking eyes but didn't really worry about it, it'd been quite a while since anyone had looked at her for more then her size and she didn't figure anything different

Vasile DiRossi
"Small and feirce," he let himself laugh. "Maybe you'll turn into a mongoose! Anyway, you should thank your parents, then. Looks like whatever you've done, its worked out well," he flashed her a toothy grin.

Joliette Rigiel
"Eat healthy and work out, and photo missing stars" she joked giving him a wink and then a laugh of her own "As for mongoose... who knows" she relaxed eatting some more of her salad as she pondered that possibility

Vasile DiRossi
"Well, its not exactly as flashy as martial arts, but I take a run along the shoreline every morning. Would you care to join me tomorrow?"

Joliette Rigiel
"I'm taking a wild guess thats what I caught you doing from my boat" she said with a chuckle and then nodded "Sure, I'll join you, would get me away from my duplex" she smiled

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile scratched the back of his head. "yeah, thats what I was doing. Believe it or not, I don't normally run around in nothing but a pair of short-shorts."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette laughed "I believe they'll make an interesting photo anyways, don't worry I believe you, besides if you did, thats what you'd be wearing right now" she grinned playfully

Vasile DiRossi
"Don't tell me you're actually going to develop those pictures" he said with a fake look of shock. "What are you going to do? Make the Island Enquirer!"

He returned her playful grin. "Well I do take requests..."

Joliette Rigiel
She laughed "Yes I am, and no, just for the sake of developing them, I dont like having filled rolls of film hanging around" She looked him over "You do now do you..." she quirked a brow

Vasile DiRossi
"Indeed," he said, striking an impromptu model pose. "But you should feel privlidged, I don't take request from just anyone."

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette's smile widened as she laughed at his humour, she placed a hand to her chest "Oh Vasile.. I am soo honored" she said with a playfully teasing edge to her voice her eyes sparkling with her laughter

Vasile DiRossi
"You should be," he smirked, "because if we weren't trapped on an island together I'd be saying 'You'll be hearing from my lawyer if you so much as dare publish those pictures!'"

Joliette Rigiel
"Freedom of the press dear Vasile, freedom of the press" she smirked right back "It's one thing I've always loved about my job" she watched him with a sense of amusement

Vasile DiRossi
"Bah," he said, waving his hand. "Whatever happened to privacy? I mean, I'm sure you wouldn't like having someone watching you all the time" he let his eyes linger to illustrate his point.

Joliette Rigiel
That sparks what she had been thinking about previous and her smirk slipped "You know that makes me wonder just how much they watch us here, and how, I walked into my duplex and a moment later Sabin was speaking through the intercom"

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile's smile faded as the flirtatios attitude of hers was gone and reality came crashing back. "It wouldn't surprise me," he said, bitterfly. "The higher-ups are all pretty sicko."

Joliette Rigiel
She shivered at the thought "I don't like that thought" she said biting her lip and looking at him she sighed "Something to not dwell upon I suppose" she said trying to soften the atmosphere again with a small smile

Vasile DiRossi
"Yes, lets not worry about that now," he said, slipping his arm around her shoulder again. "So... what exactly shall we do from now until tomorrow morning, I wonder?"

Joliette Rigiel
"You know, I'm pretty open, I've done as much to the darkroom as I want to do today, besides boards theirs not much more I can do till the equipment arrives" she felt somehow at ease with him

Vasile DiRossi
"Well, there's the beach, the movie theatre, har har, and well, just getting to know each other better up in my room," he gave her a pointed look, reading her expression.

Suddenly a wave of guilt washed over him as an image of Cass univitingly pushed its way into his mind. He shifted, but tried to shake it off. As much as he, well, liked Cass... he was still pretty certain his feelings were not quite so requited.

Anyway, it wasn't like he was asking Jolitte to marry him. Far, far from it.

To be perfectly honest with himself, his lack of respect of the Papparatzi probably accounted for his ease with flirting with her so unbashidly.

Dammit, he never used to do this.. self-analyze himself. This island was doing more to him than just change him into an animal.

Joliette Rigiel
Joliette pondered the options or lack thereof. Sure he was talking about his room, but she knew if she had to she could defend herself.. oh hell Joliette why are you so totally living in the past, the way you were on teh mainland is not entirely possible to be like here she berated herself in her mind then nodded "All right, why not, getting to know the people I will spend the rest of my life with seems like a good idea to me" she smiles

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile's eyes widened a bit, but he quickly covered with a smug grin. "Sounds like a plan," he said, standing up and offering her his hand. "You know, there's a guy here whos girlfriend is turning into a bird - I think you saw her, Greer. Anyway, I think he's upset because he can't kiss her anymore like he used to. Its, well, kind of sad. Makes you really want to live life as much as you can, while you can," he slipped his arms around her waist and started leading her towards his duplex, picking up Brutus along the way.

Joliette Rigiel
"Yes I saw Greer, didn't formally meet her though, too much explosions going on at the time" she gave a weak smile at that as she walked with him "I guess living my life as I am while I can is why I dont want to give up my photography" she looked down at hte dog "What kind of dog is your dog..?" she asked curiously

Vasile DiRossi
"Well, thats good. The staff, at the very least, seems willing to meet to most of our material needs."

He looked down to the little black and tan pup at his feet. "Miniature Pinsher," he said with a smile. "Lots of attitude - compact size."

Joliette Rigiel
She nodded, another unique thing, she laughed "That reminds me of the Aladdin movie 'Colossol powers, itty bitty living space' or something of the like" she didn't touch on the material good issue, she didn't feel like having another debate about the 'generosity' or if she should have been more specific in her request. Nor did she feel like getting all wound up over it just then either

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile chuckled at her joke. "Perhaps. He certainly has had his own case of reality check. The Dude's massive cat almost killed the poor thing."

Joliette Rigiel
"Cat? I haven't seen a cat as yet, it must be keeping to itself" she mused, she wasn't sure where his duplex was, so simply followed his lead

Vasile DiRossi
Vasile led her up to his duplex. "He's a big red terror, but he's probably with his owner. The pest."

Vasile unlocked the door to his room and her in. For being a bacheloer and all, the place of spotless. Boredem had stirred Vasile to clean his room from top to bottom on more than on occasioan. "Make yourself comfortable."
