They have a texas pledge that they make you do every morning, every other business has the words texas or lone star on it. They act like DQ is only in texas. The phrase 'keep austin weird'. Austin isn't weird. Texmex isn't real. They call people from new york 'fast talking northerners'. They conjugate y'all into y'all all, ya'llses, and my favorite y'aller. I've been here three years and I've yet to see a cow. The longhorns are shoved down your throat. Burnt orange is an acceptable color here.
And that's just half of it.
Is that enough?

First off, it all depends on where you are living in Texas to get half that stuff you are talking about.
I say the pledge, yeah its dumb but it causes class to start later then it would without it. No not every business has that. DQ... no one gives a crap about DQ. Its Burger King everyone cares about. I've never even been to Austin. Texmex is real. it called shitty Mexican food we attempt to make. The real stuff is sooo much better. We don't talk about New yorkers because frankly we have other crap to worry about than that. I'm sure they call use names too, like " Dumb hick southerns" or " cowboys"... No one rides a damn horse around here unless you own a ranch -.-). I say "Y'all". I have never heard anyone else say that other stuff. Cows are everywhere. A&M is just as bad as the longhorns. Burnt orange isn't acceptable unless its the schools colors. Other than that no one wears it or cares.
