I am Hikaru Koushun ~ The Crimson-Eyed Shinigami
Hikaru pursed her lip at the idea. She turned to face him again, smiling sweetly. Her eyes were closed as well. "Y'know, I kinda envy them both... Ha-neechan and Aki-neechan," she said softly. She sighed dreamily, resting her hands on her cheeks. "Both of them together... they look so cute! And you can tell that they adore each other..." She opened her eyes, frowning at the table.
"I want that to happen to me too... to be happy like they are..." She blinked, and smiled weakly, scratching the back of her head. She laughed softly. "Sorry, I got carried away... do you, uhh... want me to get you some cake or something?" she asked, trying to change the subject.

Hikaru's brows rose slightly at his response. She smiled widely, before jumping out of her booth, swinging her tray onto her shoulder. She tilted her head to the side, her eyes closed again as she grinned.
"I'll be right back, then!" she chirped cheerfully, before skipping off into the kitchen. She returned moments later, carrying a plate with a slice of cake on it. She slid it in front of him, and handed him a fork. "Don't eat too fast, okay?" she scolded, before taking her seat again.

Hikaru smiled softly, resting her cheek on her palm. She looked out the window, her crimson eyes narrowed slightly in the sunlight. "Sure, but you can still get hiccups," she said, her smile growing a little. She glanced back at him again.
"You're a lieutenant too, right...?" she asked, her eyes showing her curiosity. "Which division are you in? I never asked you before..."

Hikaru laughed, and shook her head. "I like it," she said honestly. "The fact that I'm even a shinigami is satisfying enough, but to be in the same division as Aki-neechan... it makes it so much better." She smiled brilliantly, her eyes sparkling happily.
"I became a shinigami because I wanted tn be like Ha-neechan and Aki-neechan.." she said softly. "How about you? What motivated you?"

Hikaru smiled weakly, understanding what he meant. "You were thrown into the poorer districts too...?" she asked. She sighed softly. "I was adopted by Ha-neechan's parents, who adopted him as well... it was scary before I found them. I have no memory of my past life, so I didn't know what to do."
She ran her hand through her hair, still smiling softly. "Did you get lucky too? Did anyone take you in?"

No I didnt get lucky. I was a street dog. part of the reason I wear these." he was talkng about the bandages wrapped around his hands and arms." people dont appreciate you stealing food."

Hikaru frowned slightly, glancing up when he mentioned having to steal food. "That was the worst," she mumbled. "I always felt bad about doing it... but I got used to it after a long time... though, after one incident, I stopped stealing for good." She motioned to her arm, below where her shoulder was.
"One store keeper branded anyone that stole from his stand a thief... he had a rod, which had the kanji 'thief' written on it. He'd burn the word right into the person's skin... I was no exception."

I received worse than just a branding. the extent of my burns covered most of my arms. it left horrible scars." he sighed.

"Yare, yare." She chuckled, approaching the two. "I guess you are enjoying stay here, nee Kuroi?" Akino grinned mischievously. "Ru-chan's really a wonderful waitress, but I'm sorry for dragging you into this Hikaru." Akino sighed, twirling her hair. "If I was strong enough to deny the juunibantai captain, then i should have spend my time training or doing paperwork with you." She sighed, pouting playfully.

Hikaru grimaced, staring at the window again. "It's horrible there... I really want to help the people somehow... but-" She paused when she heard Akino, and looked up at her. She smiled weakly, tilting her head to the side slightly.
"It's alright, nee-chan," she assured her. "I like helping out... besides, we can train anytime we want." She poked at her headband, accidentaly tilting it a little. "And the uniform is much cuter that the Gotei one."
