I was even later than Emo Toaster when I started.

I started on the 26th November. I was 15 and 4 months old. I was probably about the last girl in my year to start!

I was lucky, cause I was on exam leave for my mock GCSE's, however I was in a german oral exam and i suddenly realised something 'down there' wasnt right. I waited till I got home, and realised WHY it didnt feel right! Then i panicked and had to call my friend to bring stuff round cause i didnt have anything and it was really heavy! lol.

Funny...my little sister started months before me, and shes 2 years younger than me - it was pretty embarassing when I heard her tell my mum - I felt like a freak, but if anyone has the same problem, its ok! You're probably just too light for your body to think you're old enough!

Only 3 months before I started, my mum has been telling me I had to go to a doctor if I didnt start by this year. That really made my body realise something had to be done...and fast! wink

i started my period when i was 8. i was in class [spanish class] and i got sharp pains in my stomache. and i asked if i could go to the nurse. when i went she told me to go to the bathroom and see if i felt better afterwards. when i was in the bathroom i noticed blood. [it was heavy] i of course knew about periods. and i asked if i could have a pad. so that was my first period. 3nodding

I was twelve (i'm 17 now) & I had just come back from camp & was on my way to Red Deer. Two days later I was supposed to be going to Saskatchwean for a week. Right in between leaving cmap & going to Saskatchewan I got it. My aunt was the first one to help me the she told my mom when we met up in Sask.

I love tampons but I hate pads. I only wear them at night cause I don't want Toxic Shock Syndrom. I hate pads cause their's a risk of leaking off the sode & they fee like i'm wearing a diaper. & it's just plain messy. Tampons I just insert it & away I go!!

i got my period when i was 12. pretty common age for getting them. PLUS, i was in detention, and in my school, we cant go to the bathroom! XP! i had to wast 2 hours....XP!

I got mine 2 days after I turned 13. I came home from school and I went to the bathroom, I look down and EEEK! I am somewhat proud of myself, I handled it pretty well, I went into my room, got new underwear, snuck in my moms bathroom and stole a pad and threw out my other underwear. I was pretty bad though, I didnt tell my mom about it until the second month. I dont even like telling her that I think a guy is cute, so telling her that I started my period? Badddd. The next month it leaked at night so I had to tell her because I majorly had to clean my sheets.

I got mine when I was 12, in 6th grade. I'm 14, almost 15, now.

I started getting spotting three months or so before I actually got my period, and several of my friends had theirs, so, typically, I already knew all I cared to know and more. /: I was in the bathroom getting ready for school. I was relieving my bladder and lo and behold! stare I just whined at my mom to go get me some underwear, and she's like, "Oh, did you get it?" -Walks off to get underwear-

First few months were absolute misery, when all I used was pads. Mom noticed...finally, and said to start using tampons. I love them, they saved my life.

Anyways, I got mine when I was 14 (17 now), a few days before I started grade 9. :3

No funny story. I was just at my grandmas, and we were just about to leave to go home. I told my mom and my cousin showed up so we couldn't leave. While my dad was talking to them me and my mom went to the corner store.
