Chef nodded and reach up, carefully patting Chris on the shoulder. He wasn't about to mess with his hair -- Chris was in a foul enough mood as it was! Though it'd be a good distraction... Mm, better not. Chef didn't feel like being fine print-forced into a too-tight dress "for the show." Damn thing was drafty.
He grinned. "Heh heh heh... If yew thought mah picnic basket trick was neat, yew should see what's in store for the remainin' campers."

As soon as Chef's paw was on his shoulder, Chris reached up to snag it with his own paw. ...Awkwaaaaard dude.
"Reallyyyyy?"
The host tilted his head back, eying his friend. He had something better than a picnic basket surprise in store? Hehehehehe, Chris hoped it was something explosive. At that thought a grin spread it's way across his face. There we go! That was the Chris everyone knew and loved.

Oh! Um. Well. Crap. This was awkward. Chef tried to slide his hand away, but to no avail. Great. Looks like the host had claimed him, and considering how things were going, he wasn't going to get his hand back soon. He sighed, then poured a bit more whiskey into his glass. Personally, he liked the heavier stuff... but at least he could down several glasses before beginning to feel the effects of the alcohol. He'd just need to make sure he doesn't drink too much and let a camper see him passed out. Then again, if he passes out in front of the refrigerator, the only 'edible' substance within their reach were cans of lard.. heh heh heh.
"Yeah man," he replied, tugging on his hand again. "What'chu think ah've been doin this entire time?"

Chris kept a firm grip on Chef's captured paw....yeah, you weren't going anywhere anytime soon buddy. Ha! The host's tail started a slow wag, that same grin still spread across his face.

"Yeah man," Chef mumbled, tugging a bit harder on his paw. Chris was already the center of attention! Why was he still doing this? Agh. Chef looked down as Chris started wagging his tail, and resisted the urge to groan. This... This was going to suck so much.
"Ach, go eat some complimentary peanuts," Chef grumbled, tugging. "What'chu have in mind for the campers to do, man?"

Well it was as close to hand-holding as they'd ever get....
Though finally Chris whined and let go...mostly because the tugging was starting to strain his hand and man that was the paw that Annabel gnawed all over.
..Awh s**t Annabel. The host's lip quivered for just a moment before he caught himself again. Damnit. No! Couldn't let this get to him.
"Entertain me, of course dude!"
Because clearly that was the only reason campers existed. Entertainment and paychecks baby!

VICTORY! Chef recovered his paw and at once used it as an excuse to scratch behind one of his ears. Ahh! There, that little annoyance was scratched out. He shifted his drink to his free hand in case Chris got any more ideas. It was... awkward, and he didn't have enough ammunition to chase off the paparazzi should they come around. Man! He needed to go stock up, if the budget would allow.
Chef snickered. "And how, man? Findin' mines? Dodgeball with beavers? Paintball huntin' again?"

Or that one member of the paparazzi that Chris simply couldn't get rid of. Man, you'd think all the traps of Wawanakwa would be enough of a deterrent, but nooooo!

Nor could Chef. Instead, it was Chef himself who warned that lone paparazzi of the dangers of Wawanakwa and where some of the cameras were. Hell, wouldn't you for an undisclosed amount delivered in a suitcase? Granted all it had were a couple bricks and a paycheck which bounced. Chef needed to find that sucker and make him pay up.

A self-centered jerk that tried to literally pay Chef in almonds. If the peanut market wasn't doing as well as it was, then maybe Chef would have accepted, but as it was almonds happened to be cheaper than peanuts when Chris made the offer.
Chef snickered and nodded in agreement, finishing off his glass. "Yew want any more man, or doyew wanna get the interns started on settin' this thing up?"

...Hm, did Chef give him too much? Oops, heehee! Chef nodded and shoved the bottle and glasses back into the locked cabinet, pleased that it was high enough that any aspiring intern or camper would be hard pressed to get to it. If they could get up there at all, heehee!
With that taken care of, Chef nodded to Chris. "Ready when you are, man. Ya findin' the floor okay?" For him, it was starting to get a bit wobbly... teeheehee!
