I'm a little scared of death, and a little not I mean, I dont want to die because I like the way I live And I dont know how I would die And I dont know if there is anything beyond (its the only part I'm not really sure about)
but other than that its not too much of a fear

I have to admit, death frightens me a little bit. However, I know that it is inevitable, and therefore I have come to accept it as something unremarkable, though best put off until some later date.

Every step you take in life is just determining how you are going to die. It's inevitable that death will come. Then again that is what makes life interesting, because you never know what day will be your last.
Why be afraid? I mean...you can't stop it, you can't predict, so why not just forget about the whole "Death thing" and live your life to the fullest?

I am a little scared of death, maybe just because I'm not ready to give up my life yet, and I feel there is still so much I need to do still. And the fear coems freom realizing that any day can be my last. So I do try to live my life to the fullest each day. Honestly, though, we can't live without the good and the bad. Because it's the bad things that make the good things all the more precious. Here's a random thought though. Does anyone think that the reason people get so scared of death is because they 'haven't made their mark on the world'? Honestly, I just started thinking about this. When one dies, are they going to be forever remembered? Of course not. Not everyone can. Maybe we're so scared to die because we haven't yet been able to leave behind a legacy to live on after we die.

Many people simply have children, and in a way that makes that worry go away, because thier blood-line will continue.
I think the fear is more of not doing as much as you could have done in life. See, if you live your life too the fullest, doing every possible thing you can to enjoy it, than you'll have no regrets when you die. If you don't live life to the fullest, and you miss many wonderful things that you could have done, then when the end is near, you regret it, and so a fearful wish crops up that you could do things over again.

I didn't consider the children notion. That's a good perspective, and I agree with it, too. Though, I do know a few people that are scared about being forgotten when they die. That's why I mentioned it. And I completely agree with you again, by the way. It's so sad to have regrets, but you can't go through life not having them either. Because with every decision there is always another one you could have chosen instead. Regrets are natural I think because the possible outcome is unknown. And humans are sort of like moths to the light when it comes to the unknown. Maybe that's why we regret so much. Either way, nothing can hurt from trying to live your life to its maximum. And honestly, no one will ever truly know what comes after death, so maybe you do only get one chance. If so, I plan to live my life completely. I won't mind having a few regrets. In a way, perhaps regrets are sort of like having an open mind.

there must be a million reasons why the fear of death has never been an issue with me but mostly its because humans die, there is no way to avoid it, its inevatable so why fight or fear what you cant control question

"Those who live wisely have not even death to fear." -- Buddha
That sums up my position. Nevertheless, I'll elaborate.
Life is all about experiences. Gaining conscious thought, one has emotions and the ability to judge whether or not an experience is good or bad. Enough good experiences, and one has had a good life. I'm not that old, frankly, and I've just barely scratched the surface of life, but even now, I've had enough good experiences to die right now and be at peace. If I can live on to experience more, however, all the better. Therefore, death does not frighten me.

For me, it's just the fact that everyone dies, so it's not a big deal when I die. Its going to happen, and, since we don't know when, who cares?

I'm afraid to die but who cares. I mean even if the religions are right why submit to their power. I mean if and there is a big if they are right then I'll still live forever. But I go with atheism because it makes the most logic out of everything and is based more on facts than belief.

It scares me, just the thought of dying without any control of it. Although I do not fear after death, just the thought of suddenly dying kinda sucks.
I am an agnostic, but I do not believe it's 'the end' when you die. I believe that since the human body is made of electrons, when someone dies I believe they will return to the Earth, but energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. I believe a form of reincarnation will take place. While I cannot prove it, it seems that what comes from the Earth returns to the Earth. Just as when the Earth dies, it will return to the cosmos where it was born.
I do not believe in Heaven, because Heaven is very illogical. There cannot be a place of true peace because everyone in the universe would never get along with each other.
