I couldn't stand the new Red Faction. O.o
It just isn't what it used to be. They used to have all that awesome blow walls apart physics, except it was in an FPS. You could shoot out a section of wall and then shoot through that hole at bad people. It was fantastic.
This new one just seems kinda.... meh in comparison.
Though, after a scene like that I'm reconsidering my thoughts of not renting it.

I dig the game, and this is coming from someone who isn't a huge fan of sandbox games.

-Equips sledgehammer, displaces EDF with the wall.-
Vehicles take on a whole new level of use when you're able to simply drive through a wall after someone. I couldn't find a ramp to get to a target, so I drove through three buildings, rocketed a fourth, then displaced the ground floor with my rocket launcher-equipped garbage truck.
Now, it's not to say the game doesn't have it's lull points, but my ability to go through damn near anything, and the game REWARDS me for finding new things to break and new ways to break them, is enough to entertain me.
I suggest renting it, if not buying it. It's good times.

I know a few people who used to and quit it, and a few who still do but don't draw for other people... or only draw commercially. It's truly sad.
*stifled laugh* You know how, at least a few decades ago, every nationality was connected with a stereotypical name? Mexican = Jose, German = Hans or Fritz, etc.? Mario was the one for Italians. I have no idea if the name is also used by Greeks, but that's probably how they came up with it for Mario Bros.

Well, Donkey Kong got the name because to the Japanese guy who named him "Donkey" sounded very much like "Monkey", so he thought he had named him 'Monkey Kong'.
Personally, I like Donkey Kong better.

Yep yep, and the Russian common name would've probably been Ivan and the French Jean (claude/jaques/paul/luc picard >.>).
According to Wikipedia Mario is a Greek name as well, though the Greek variant is generally spelled Marios....though I have no idea how trustworthy that is....and I was totally making a joke anyway.
@GE Yo! So you know how I like got a couple messages from you on X-box live around late May- Early June?
Welllll....I had British friends over who liked to play X-box, and they never bothered switching out of my live account when they turned my system on. So anyway, I had no idea I had messages until like a couple weeks after they were sent. So I'm not intentionally ignoring you... Just had British friends parading as me, and playing rock band. Silly silly British friends.
And Donkey Kong is totally better. o.o
