Lucid stayed in his room, hesitant to see Akuma again, and that man who was brobobly her new boyfriend, he didnt want to think about it. he distracted his thought by rummaging through the drawers in the bedroom, he stumbled uppon an old leather book. it was a diary.

Cortez was helping the girl put on a dress, though she was still wearing that suit, it was now mostly covered up. she peered around Cortez to see Kaosti and the most peculiar thing happened, she smiled at him, as if she was over joyed to see him. Cortez looked back at Kaosti with a baffled look on his face. "how did you do that?"

Cortez just shook his head, "she seems to be fine now, im going back downstairs" Cortez left them and made his way to the dining hall. he pulled all the ready made food out of the kitchen and laid it out on the table, "sorry i took so long, here you look hungry"

Asmodeus shifted from where he stood and walked over to Akuma who was obviously distressed, he sat down next to her, and placed his hand over hers gently. He said nothing, just sat there in companionable silence offering all the friendship, support, and love she may need. He gazed at her with warmth, wishing he could take all her pain within himself, he regretted the scene he'd made in the tunnel and wished once again that he could rid himself of this curse. Damn you Dagon
The Yggdrasil tree in Anaphar had been destroyed, Dagon's armies using sheer numbers and brute force to tear through its defenses, Arkan had been captured, the kingdom's armies had been able to drive off Dagon's horde but it was greatly injured, it was weak and sorely vulnerable to invasion...

Akuma removed her hand and stood, "I'm not the best healer, but I have enough energy to throw around... I'll see what I can do for your wounds." she teleported to the other side of the table and knelt down beside Ardina and Milana, "We probably won't be staying here long, but My home is in Arynia... It's not far from here, and I can teleport us there." she placed her hand on Milana's arm and began healing her wounds from the center out, "My father is one of the best psychics around, and is a phenomenal healer. What I can't heal here; he can."

Kaosti moved into the room and smiled, "Well, I'm glad to see you're doing better... What are all the smiles for? Not that I mind you smiling, but it's quite odd; one minute you were mad at the world, the next your grinning from ear to ear."

The girl looked away shyly, her cheeks slightly flushed. she looked back at him and opened her mouth slightly, wanting to speak "I..." she started, but couldn't seam to finish. she turned her face away again

Kaosti smiled and brushed the side of her face, "No need to be shy around me love... I Won't hurt you... Even though I kind of did at first." he frowned and kissed her hand softly, "I'm sorry for earlier... I've been going through a bit of stress..."

she allowed him to kiss her had hesitantly, she seemed unfamiliar with his gestures and looked rather uncomfortable whit him so close to her. she stepped back from him and went around him to get to the door.

He watched awkwardly as she walked around him and sighed, "I'm sorry.... I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable... It would seem that I am too much like my grandfather..." Kaosti walked into the room and sat down on the bed, looking at the floor.

Asmodeus nodded curtly, not trusting himself to speak, he was tired, he knew for certain the women were tired, and all he really wanted was to sleep.
" All Ardina and Milana need is a safe place to rest," he declared after brushing them each with a psychic tendril, The blood is not hers, I will be able to self heal after a few hours of rest, but I wouldn't mind going." His eyes flashed

Akuma nodded, "We can go to my home in Arias now... I'll return here later." she motioned for Asmodeus to come over by the rest of the group, "I'll be right back... I would like to say goodbye to my son, and I shall return soon."

Akuma walked upstairs and passed a woman on the way up, whom she paid no mind too. She tapped lightly on the door and walked in, "Kaosti?"
He rose from the bed and faced his mother with a less-than-pleased look on his face.
Akuma lowered her head and turned back toward the door, "I am sorry to bother you.... I was just about to say that I was going to return home... and I wanted to know if you wanted to come wi-"
"No." he answered interrupting his mother.
"Oh...." she replied while nodding and leaving the room, "I.... guess I will.... leave you to your thoughts then." Akuma left to go back to the dining room.

Akuma peeked into the kitchen and noted Cortez struggling to keep up with the ghost hands, "Cortez... We're going to be heading back to Kaos's house... Thank you for your hospitality... Good bye."
She exited the room and returned to Asmodeus, "Alright, Are you ready to leave here?"

Asmodeus felt his heart wrench painfully as he watched her move from room to room, feeling her pull further away from his with every step. He yearned to reach out to her, to hold her, to protect her from the pain and confusion swimming in her eyes. He wanted to stay with her. A new determination straightened his back when she reentered the room, he gazed at her with eyes filled with pain and longing as she entered the room, blood slowly running down his arm, across his hand and dripping from his fingers into growing pool on the dining room floor. He felt the space between them like an ever deepening chasm, he wouldn't allow it, wouldn't allow her to pull away from him like this. He stepped foreword, and cradled her face in his streaming hand, "Akuma..." His voice was husky and deep as he leaned closer, feeling the heat growing between their bodies, the tantalizing electricity between their lips as he pressed his forehead against hers. He moved his hand down, stroking down her bare arm, leaving goosebumps in the wake of his gentle touch before wrapping her hand in his own. He took a deep breath and squeezed his eyes tightly shut, "I can make you happy too Akuma," his voice wavered, "I know... I know I am a monster, but you are all I want my love, I would never harm you, only protect." He squeezed her hand lightly, his eyes trying to gauge her reaction, his heart hammering with the fear of losing her before he got the chance to truly be with her.

Cortez replied with an "ok" as he was to busy fiddling in the kitchen.

Lucid continued reading his fathers diary and he was a bit disturbed at how much his father thought about Elli. he had a sour look on is face and closed the book gently and placed it back where it was. Elentath naked on a moon lit patio was not something lucid was interested in reading.

the girl made her way down the steps and gave Akuma a cold look as she passed, and then followed Cortez to the kitchen, but she had made sure to give the other guests harsh looks as she passed them. when she stepped into the kitchen she was alarmed at all the commotion going on with the floating pans and all. she then stepped back and tripped as she exited the kitchen and fell into the dinning hall. she struggled to her feet and looked around cautiously, just then Lucid stepped in to the hall and she rushed over and clung to his arm. Lucid looked a bit surprised to see that she was still here, but he stroked her hand gently to comfort her.
Lucid gave Asmodeus an disapproving stare, he could feel that this man was the reason Akuma had strayed so far. all he could think was that it should be him at her side. he held the wedding band in his hand and squeezed it tightly with anger and frustration.
