"Well I did want to get Lorey a gift card here. Her birthday is soon, did you know that?"
Having known her for a good time, Damian knew such little things. He wondered if Richard even knew, and they were going to be married.
"But what do you think Richard would like? Have to be fair to everyone," he said, hoisting the bags and making his way to the self-check out. The place was so large that not enough real people could cater to the masses, but he preferred doing things himself.

Raquel helped hand him the books and bagged them along side him, not waning him to do all the work. "Um...As for Material things...I'm not sure what Richard likes..." She said in all honesty. "...What about something classy, dignified....something every gentleman needs? Like...A pocket knife or a Pocket watch?" She cocked her head, remembering a few of her old clients. A lot of them had one or two things in common. Besides their taste in 'women', and various expensive trinkets they may have had on their person, she had been surprised to see that old fashioned pocket watches and knives that had been modernized with various gadgets were very popular. She doubted they even knew how to use such things, let alone had a need to learn, but it seemed customary.
Richard was definitely more of a gentleman than any of the men she had slept with, so it seemed fitting he had such a device, to sue it for more noble causes perhaps.

Damian couldn't see Richard using a pocket watch. There was something about the man that spoke of on the go rather than taking the time to fish one out of a pocket.
"Perhaps just a watch... I noticed he doesn't have one, or at least one that can take a beating. Good idea..."
Damian nodded, and cashed them out. Gift cards were hanging by the register, so he snatched one up and put two hundred credits on it. Lorey would be smiling herself all the way here and back again, he thought.
"Alright, so, a trip to a jewelers, and then we'll be back home in a jiffy. I think there's one close by the door, correct?" he said, putting the canvas bag over his shoulder.

Raquel tapped her chin thoughtfully, thinking a moment. "Yea, I'm pretty sure...come on..." She grabbed his arm gently, heading to the door again. "By the way...I didn't thank you yet for how amazing today's been...." She smiled shyly, glancing up at him.

"I think it would have been a little bit more amazing if Richard hadn't come home so soon..." he mumbled under his breath. "But I suppose we'll give him a break and get the old chap a watch." So off to the jewelers they went, buying Richard a rather fancy wristwatch so that he might know the right time. Damian held it up for Raquel to see. "Do you think it suits him?"

She was distracted by some of the women's jewelry that sparkled under the lighting radiantly. She had never seen so much lovely expensive bobbles in one area. She found it funny that people would pay so much for such trinkets, even if she did find them lovely. "Hm? Oh, ...oh my It's lovely...He'll love it." She beamed,inspecting the watch over a few times.

"Is there... anything you want?" he asked peering over her shoulder. He remembered how now she only had a necklace, and no earring thanks to Chase. Damian would never give that earring back to Raquel. Even then, as they stood there, it was lodged in his wallet in the very back where no one would find it.

Raquel raised her eyebrows to him, slightly surprised. "Oh no I'm fine...These things are far too expensive, I'd be too afraid to wear them anywhere..." She smiled nervously. "Plus I have nothing that matches any of this. So no thank you, I'm fine..." she leaned up and kissed his cheek sweetly. She'd only thought to wear such lovely things to the ballroom, but since Damian didn't seem to want to return there ever again, which was fine with her, she felt no use for them.

"Then we go home now, if you'd like. If you're done."
Damian didn't want to pressure her into leaving, but her eyes were looking tired...
He kissed her cheek out of how much he loved just seeing her sleepy. Once they got home, he would tuck her in and make sure she enjoyed those books she wanted so much.
There was something to respect in a woman who preferred books to a shiny necklace. Damian loved that change, to be sure.

Raquel smiled and nodded, taking his arm again and heading towards the malls exit. Though she stopped a moment, releasing her hold on him. "You know...the only jewelry we got growing up..." She walked over to the side of the doors, where floating 'egg' machines, fishing through her purse for another remaining Coin. She slipped it into one of the slots, pushing a little button instead of a knob. There were machines for small stuffed toys, light up gizmos and other things for small children. But the only Raquel chose popped out a little red container. She came back to Damian's side, cracking it open to reveal a plain, small, cheap metal ring. She took his hand and gently slipped it onto his pinky, smiling her same dazzling smile she had been wearing all day.

Damian looked down at the small ring. It would doubtless turn his finger green, or break easily, but the small band of metal was so simple that it had to be appealing.
His silver eyes looked up glittering to Raquel as a smile played on his lips.
"I think this is the most meaningful gift I've ever been given."
And the cheapest when things weren't outright free. Damian had bought her books already, so there seemed to be nothing to give in return, until he pressed his lips to hers again in a kiss.
"Thank you."

Raquel loved his random kisses. They always made her blush. When he pulled away, her eyes were misting slightly as she beamed up at him. "This has been one of the best days of my life..." She said, in all honesty. It was simple, nothing extravagant, but she was just happy and in love. That alone would top any happy moment in her life thus far, so this day had been like a dream.

"Truly?" Damian had never heard that from anyone else but her. It seemed that with a simple trip to the mall, he'd created so much happiness that he wasn't sure what to do with it.
"Well then... many more to come to rival this one." And with that, he placed his arm about her waist and led her out into the slight drizzle, back to the speeder that would take them home to warmth and safety.

Lorey's eyes widened when she was brought into the extravagance of the department store. The floating chandelier sent rainbows all across the ceiling, and everything was polished marble and wood. The make up counter seemed fit for a queen, while the dresses and clothing were all presented like each was a fine work of art. They needed to find the bridal section, though, and not get lost in this glamour.
"Well, we're off for dresses. Damian, help him find a lovely tux, will you?" Lorey joked before turning away to find her dream gown.

Raquel smiled, about to go after her, though stopped, turning to Damian quickly. Her eyes glittered, overflowing with thoughts and happiness about their own wedding, though made a promise to herself she wouldn't take away any excitement form Lorey's day. She'd just keep an eye out for her own dress on the side, and not get carried away. There's always be time for that later. Today was just to focus on Lorey and her dream dress.
She kissed her Damian on the lips, telling him to give the poor seamstresses a break, and try not to flirt with the attractive ones too much, all in jest, because she knew he had changed, despite that lovely suit that he wore in his 'old days'.
She then took off after Lorey to the bridal gowns.
Richard seemed rather uncomfrotable, mostly because he was looking at the price of everything.
