Odd as it was, Shirou could not help but continue to look at her occasionally; what he was supposed to make of such a thing was rather beyond him… it wasn’t as if he spent all his years feeling this way about different girls. Far from that; he had only ever felt something other than friendship for one individual and he still did, yet there was something different. Something far different about being around Rin; he was not even sure Saber felt those feelings for him anymore. She probably did not… he wouldn’t have been all that surprised to be honest. Three years had passed, but his feelings for her had never wavered. That did not mean that another set of feelings could not develop beside them, however. He frowned slightly, before allowing his gaze to stare at the ground; did he hold more than simple feelings of friendship for the girl, walking beside him?

He had hardly noticed her reaction to his words before her voice interrupted his train of thought. He blinked a few times before looking up at her and smiling slightly. Kill him? She shouldn’t joke around like that. Even without Avalon within him, Shirou was more than a difficult opponent, nowadays. Perhaps he would prove more difficult to kill than when he had the item, which saved him countless times. He wasn’t useless anymore, but maybe she’d have to find that out for herself if the time, ever came. “It’s nice to know you’ve gotten stronger, but don’t be so silly, Rin. You'd save yourself a lot of trouble if you forgot how I used to be.” He shrugged and glanced ahead at the school gates that were now standing before them.

"It would have been waste to leave if I didn't." She shrugged at the words from both parties and how they could be applied. The female magus would have hated herself to no end for leaving the Emiya boy behind if nothing had been learned in London. The regret she first felt would have only increased with time. But she had gotten stronger, and improved, so there was no reason to think on such morbid thoughts any longer.

Instead her attention turned to that of the school before her. Her hands idly placed behind her tightened in their grip around each other as she stared at the place. The area where her life in the grail had first started. How strange it was to come back to this place after so long, and with Shirou no less.

Shirou was unsure how to respond to her words; he glanced at her, mostly out of confusion, but said nothing on it. Instead he turned his attention back towards the school before them and allowed one of his hands to grab hold of the gate. His hand, barely touching one of the bars of the wrought iron, he smiled slightly before lowering his gaze. It was unusual to be here, that was for certain. It might have been the fact that he was here with Rin, but that would have been giving her far too much credit. He allowed his hand to trail down the thin bar before his hand fell back to his side. “Were you interested in going in, or would our time be better spent, elsewhere?” To be honest, Shirou could hardly mind the thought of going anywhere; he was oddly enough just pleased to be hanging out with her; three years was bound to do that… or at least that’s what he was telling himself.

His eyes gazed upon her tightened grip for a moment before he looked up at her, once more. Wondering what it was that was causing such a reaction from her; his head tilted to the side, to get a better look at her face before laughing and reaching forward to poke her forehead again. “Hey, are you alright, Rin?” He smiled and rocked back on his heels as he turned to look at the school, once more.

Ah. Her mind began to contemplate asking to leave before it was offered to her. She frowned slightly, a bit of a pout becoming seen on her face from yet another poke to the face. Was she trying to slowly give her a bruise or something? Either way now that he'd asked the question she would have to do the opposite, such was the high strung Tohsaka way. "We've yet to go into the school Shirou." Rin stated out while approaching the small gate. Really, this thing couldn't keep anyone out, all they had to do was jump over and in, no security was even placed. Such a peaceful little town they lived in huh?

Her hand rested nicely atop the gate before her other joined. In one easy move she vaulted herself over, feet landing nicely on the other side. The magi thus took the time to straighten her skirt out once more before glaning back at the male. "Unless your afraid a servant might attack you again~?" Such an evil little taught she gave him while flicking a bit of her hair back.

Continuing to rock on the heels of his feet idly, Shirou glanced down towards the female. Would she wish to continue onwards or would she actually prefer to leave? Knowing her, she would never really agree to do what Shirou suggested; it was not really Rin’s way of life, to say the least. He allowed one of his free hands to run through his hair as he smiled and nodded in agreement with her as she stated her claim. She was right, yet he wondered why she suddenly seemed to want to go on in. Nothing really was surprising, but Shirou wouldn’t make that known to the magi. He watched as she approached the gate and wondered all the different possibilities she could take to getting through… such a gate like this could never keep anyone out; especially the two of them.

She vaulted herself over in one simple movement and Shirou smiled and followed; using one hand to hoist himself up and over. Landing beside her, he stumbled forward, before spinning on the sole of one of his shoes and glancing back towards her, with a smile. He began walking backwards, locking his hands behind his head again as he simply laughed and rolled his eyes. “I’d have to say, the only servant worth fearing would be your blonde knight. Unless you plan on attacking me at this very moment, I’m fine.” He turned away from her and continued walking towards the doors of the school; he wouldn't admit to the fact that calling Saber, 'her' blonde knight made him ache inside.

Her hand swiftly went to her mouth to stop herself from laughing at his little performance. If only he'd actually gone and fallen on his a**, what a good site that would be.~ She couldn't help but chuckle a bit before hearing his words. They made her wonder if he actually believed she would do such a thing right now. Aww. Did he really not trust her that much~? "You're so trusting." She spoke sarcastically while faking a tone of pain in her voice. Not that she really felt that way, but she could easily act it up.

Rin walked at her own pace into the school after the male then, easily catching up to him somehow. Instead of walking right up to his side though, she came up behind him. Her finger lightly pressed into his back where on the other side his heart would be. "Dead.~" She whispered into his ear with a small laugh after before vanishing into a classroom. If she wasn't mistaken this had been her old one.

He had noticed her attempt at concealing her laughter and thought nothing of it as he smiled at the failed attempt. She was hoping he would have fallen… anything to make Shirou look like an idiot and Rin would have been happy. The mere thought of it, made Shirou shake his head as he had turned away from it. Her words rather distant as he had continued walking. “If not, I would have never let you stayed in my home, right?” He knew her sarcastic tone, but it wasn’t like him to be that way; it was better to simply joke and go along with it as only he could.

He found himself walking through the halls, before feeling her finger press into her back and her voice, a mere whisper into his ear. It oddly enough sent a slight shiver through him, as he watched her pass by. He had stopped himself, and simply stared at her for a moment as she entered the classroom. He shook his head as he touched his own forehead with his middle finger, before walking in after her. He stood in the doorway for a moment, glancing at her back before he walked beside her, allowing one of his arms to fall upon her shoulder as he touched the base of her throat with his index finger. “Now you're dead, my little magi.” He smiled and let his arm fall as he walked past her and stood before the window. Even if it would have been possible for Shirou, he wondered if he could ever really kill her... or if she could really kill him.

No doubt about it once she walked into the room, this was the classroom she'd wasted her last year of school in. And right in the far back was her old desk, still the same old way it always was. How sad that her own 'scent' of magic still lingered all over the thing. When she felt her hair being moved to the side a bit, she thought nothing of it at first before feeling a touch to her neck, and words that followed. A small shiver ran down her spin as Shirou proceeded to walk on by. For some reason the action had caused her to become a bit flustered, but why? Even the small area he'd barely touched now felt like it was on fire.

Rin just hoped her face hadn't decided to change shades into something resembling red while the rest of her acted up. Luckily by the time he turned back around she'd calmed herself once more. Instead of a flustered looked she carried a slightly peeved now at his actions. Oh. She would be getting him back for this later. "Liking the view.~?" The "little" magi spoke while walking up next to him to stare out the window herself. Her eyes drifted from the scenery to him, naturally looking as innocent as could be. Wonder if he'd catch that fun little double meaning.

He stood staring out the window for a moment; he was a bit surprised that Rin had not come to join him, but he didn’t look back. His own thoughts trailing off into wondering what it was that was keeping her, Shirou simply smiled faintly before staring at the ground below. Two floors up they were as he found himself thinking how not like Rin, to push him out of the window. He could honestly see it happening, but he would hope that she would not feel any temptation to do so. Shirou scratched his cheek before finally glancing back towards the magi. He was surprised to see her somewhat still standing; his head tilting to the side before he simply turned back towards the window… it would probably be best not to press the matter and ask what if something was bothering her.

She had approached him finally and stood beside him as he continued to stare down at the ground below them. Her words caught him as odd and caused the redhead to glance towards her only to find her gaze locked on him. Why this made him uncomfortable, Shirou was unsure of, but he simply smiled, before scratching the back of his head idly. “It’s not as great as I remember, but maybe that’s me comparing it with being on the rooftop. Things always were so much better there, you know?” He glanced towards the ceiling of the classroom, before placing his hand upon the window. It was a minute or two before he glanced down at her and found himself simply staring… that was probably rude of him, but it was something, he couldn’t help.

Rin watched him carefully now, awaiting any sign of an answer. When one was given she was kicking herself mentally. Her head tilting a bit to the side as she sighed, eyes closing Hopes had gotten high for nothing, this was Shirou after all, having him catch such a fun little double meaning would be useless. If only the blonde knight were here, she always seemed to catch them and watching her reactions was priceless considering she felt it right to answer to both sides. She'd make sure to ask her plenty of these types of questions once she got home, and if she asked why then the magi would tell her to blame her past thick-headed master.

"We could go to the roof next then." Might as well let the boy get his wanted view of beauty eh? Now for her own thoughts. The roof was quite nice to her as well considering most of her time in the war had been spent on it. She was either up there talking with Archer, or Shirou, and on the rare occasions sleeping. It wouldn't hurt to visit the spot. "Anyway lets--" Her eyes opened once more only to find the redhead staring at her. W-what? Was there something on her face?!

Shirou smiled at Rin’s suggestion to go to the roof. It had always been rather enjoyable up there from his memories anyways. They had all been with Rin, now that he remembered it. He blinked at the realization and tilted his head lightly before he returned his gaze to her. She had seemed to have been lost in her own thoughts before speaking… yet she stopped as she took notice of him looking at her. He grew slightly flustered as he looked at her and smiled before he turned his gaze away from her. “Sorry… can’t help but stare at you these days, I guess. I’m still kind of in shock that you’re actually here and you’ve really…” Though these may have been reasons, they weren’t the primary reasons the red head was looking at her. He sighed lightly wondering if he had gone too far before beckoning towards the door and walking, leaving her to hopefully not realize how vague his words seemed.

Her head titled a little more in wonder as he just continued to stare. Her brow creasing a bit as her mouth opened slighty. IF he wasn't going to tell her what was wrong then she would just ask. There had to be some reason behind why he would stop staring right? ". . ." And then an answer was given, not the one she wanted though. Nice to know he missed her, but his sentence had been left unfinished. It was a shock to know she was really what? Rin wanted an answer but he'd already left her in the room once more.

"Why can't you ever give me a clear answer?" Her question was directed at both Shirou and her previous servant. For some reason when thought about in her mind they were always connected. It might just be her way of thinking on the males in her life, or just the fact they were so similar. Both practiced the same type of magic, though while one wanted to be superman, the other was obviously batman. Heh, what a strange way to think of them. Rin pushed off the window then, turning and making her way out the door after her little partner.

He should have known she wouldn’t let it go; he frowned slightly as he walked a short distance away from her. He wished for once, he could have kept his mouth shut but Shirou never seemed to have much luck in that department. He stuffed his hands in his pockets as he left the room, yet her voice reached him. She was right… Shirou never really did give her clear answers with anything. As much as he might have liked to, he was still unsure himself. It wasn’t right that he should have thought she looked… well the way she did. He stopped in the hallway, allowing his head to rest against the wall for a moment. It should have only been Saber; Rin was simply… his best friend. That’s exactly what she was… since the war and even during her three year departure… still always Shirou’s best friend, though he was sure that was not mutual.

He heard her footsteps behind him and decided it best to continue walking; the stairs taking him higher as he thought about it. It should have been obvious what he was going to say. Why couldn’t she use her brilliance for once and simply know what he was going to say? It seemed that it was never available in the most useful of times; the mere thought caused Shirou to sigh before, he turned around and continued his elevation to the rooftop backwards. It would probably be considered better if he was looking at her, yet the distance was the way he wanted, just in case he would need to run. It might be stupid of him to say such a thing; he was unsure why, but the thought of her getting upset and doing something painful in ways he couldn’t imagine, didn’t seem too far out of her range. “You’ve really become… you know… beautiful I guess.” He shrugged and scratched the back of his head, before away from her and opening the door to the rooftop.

Oh boy stairs, how could she have forgotten the one thing that had always driven her mad about the school? The rooftop was always a nice place to go, but it always took so long to reach. The company getting there wasn't that bad though half the time she really wasn't paying attention to him. To busy taking a trip down memory lane.~ Her trip soon turned into a real one though when hearing his words. She caught herself at the last moment using the landing bar, her face clearly turning red now. Her heart had just skipped a beat, for some reason the magi knew this to be true.

"I-i've what?!" Rin's head suddenly snapped up with her feet as she easily closed the distance between them on the stairs. She didn't know whether to take that as an insult or compliment. Her body was currently taking it as the latter though. So the girl hadn't been something of beauty before? How nice to learn. She mentally rolled her eyes while standing a bit on her toes to look at the one Emiya Shirou before her. She knew her face to have turned red, the feeling of heat still there, but she could care less right now. And just incase she tried to run she quickly snagged the bottom of his shirt in her hand.

As soon as he had said it, Shirou knew he had made a mistake… quite possible a grave one, considering her reaction. He had taken a step back, only to have her eyes locked on to him as though he was a target. The thought of running had crossed his mind, but he simply stared and watched her… she wasn’t attacking him yet, though that might have simply been the shock getting to her. Her face had grown flustered though that might have been expected considering Shirou’s was doing quite the same thing at that moment. His head glanced at the wall before she had appeared a step below him, her hand had grabbed at his shirt… yeah, so apparently he wouldn’t be getting away from this one as he glanced at her.

He frowned slightly as he scratched the back of his head. “Well… I mean… you were always…” He stopped himself and sighed again, wishing he could jump off the roof at this very moment. He had turned away from her, yet he had forgotten her hold upon him and stayed rooted to the spot. She was standing on her toes as he smiled faintly and shrugged a bit. “I’m sure you’ve heard this all before… it’s not really important you know, that you hear it from me too, right?” He blinked and hoped she would not press the matter anymore than it already was. Glancing down at her hand, he was guessing it would not be this simple; judging by her hold, it wouldn't do him much good to try to separate himself from her either.
