Miyu didn't think any differently from Yami-san continuing to wear his cowl, probably because she was so use to it, but she was enjoying just sitting with him.

"Mi...." she murmured thoughtfully at the conversations going on, she really didn't know these places that well.

Daeron grinned. "Earendil and Tinuviel were always so proper ... and while I do commend them for it, a times does come where enough is enough. They're not going to gain Tinuviel's affection or even respect by hounding her."

He sighed. "Maybe it's time for me to return home," he murmured, "at least for a while."

He rubbed at his scar, looking very thoughtful.

Aragost smiled softly at Miyu's soft utterance. "What are you thinking?" he asked her softly. "There is a great deal going on around us, is there not?"

Miyu nodded at that, there always seemed to be something happening, but then again things were always changing. Hearing of another child somewhere in the valley and Rhea being grown up and....

"A lot...." she agreed, "And I... really don't know anything about these other people."

She had met them once though, at the wedding but that was a while ago now.

Well.... some people might debate on how proper Earendil was Lin thought recalling some of the coversations he had with him and that Tinuviel had with him. He was polite of course, and nice, but compared to Tinuviel well...

That was another thing all together.

"You should, when was the last time you had been at home?" Lin inquired.

Daeron bit his tongue to keep from cursing aloud. "Too long," he admitted, feeling rather ashamed of himself. "At least ten years. Reason tells me I should visit at least once a year, but instinct tells me to wait until either Earendil or Tinuviel is married, so that they don't try to tell me to settle down."

He wasn't ready to settle down, he wanted to travel.

Aragost smiled softly at Miyu. "I will be making a trip to the valley soon," he told her. "I visit there often now ... would you like to come with me? I can introduce you to them."

He suggested this not only for Miyu's sake (since she did have to get used to meeting new people), but also for Rhea, who needed someone her own age to interact with. And it wasn't as if everyone there would be strangers - Feng and Ryu, he knew, were there, as well as Feng's daughter, and Cindy.

Miyu's eyes lit up, mainly because when she thought of the valley she thought of Ulani and Ulrich, whom of course she knew since she was just as small as Lin had been. She nodded at that, she could handle that.

"I would like that a lot!"

So probably not since the wedding or at least a bit after the wedding Lin guessed trying to count in her head, she had no clue. Though she understood Daeron's err... worry.

"That's a very long wait Daeron, especially since you're more likely to be waiting on Tinuviel than Earendil."

Granted that part was kind of Lin's fault since Earendil kept waiting for her. She was so taking this trip soon.

"And I'm sure they're not going to tell you to settle down."

Only because Lin was sure Daeron's parents had given up on Daeron getting married.

Daeron shrugged. "Earendil is a lost cause. Ever since he met you, all he's talked about is this trip he's going to take with you. Training and travel have been his focus since he was a child. As for Tinuviel ..."

He really didn't know his sister well enough to say. Sure, they had taken one trip together, but they had been children, really, both of them. So he simply shrugged. "If she's like Ada, I can see her being stubborn to the bitter end. Still, she won't marry until she finds the one person she loves with all her being. Either way, it's going to be a long while, and unless one of them has settled down, they're just going to pressure me if I show up."

Still, even he knew that it was no excuse not to visit home, and in the end he could only sigh and nod.

Aragost smiled warmly. "Not today," he murmured, "but soon."

He grew silent once more as he thought about just when they could go.

Lin chuckled blushed at that, she knew it was true. Though she had to think about Tinuviel, she actually could see that. After all Tinuveil had held out for this long....

"Well if they can put up with it, so can you," Lin replied firmly.

Daeron snorted. "Even you have to admit that they've had a lot of time to get used to it," he retorted somewhat sourly. "No offense, but I spend little enough time with my parents as it is, I'd rather it not be all nagging. I'll get married when I'm good and ready, and no amount of questioning or prodding will do anyone any good."

He sighed. "Sorry. It's been the same every visit since I first left."

Lin shrugged, "I don't know.... I think your Dad's gotten to be a really nice guy, and for no other reason you should visit home to at least see how things are going."

After all it had been a long while and Lin didn't know what Daeron knew or didn't know about what had been going on back home. Of course being here, he probably did.

Daeron raised one eyebrow at Lin. "From your own lips, my father is really nice," he mused. "Well. I'll tell you what. I'll visit, and if he can apologize sincerely to me for the way he's been all my life, I'll make a point of spending time there. It might take a bit of convincing though. He really made things rough for Aunt Elnara and Nako."

Not to mention, on the entire family, just by having the attitude he did, and breaking up the family as he had. He still wasn't sure what Luthien thought of all his travels, or how she looked at his father in that regard, but he was certain that it had to have caused some difficulty between them.

Lin blinked at Daeron and wondered absently if he realized he was sort of like his father in that regard, stubborn and difficult to let things go. As Lin grew up she sort of realized that Ruel was... strong willed if one could call it that, apparently Daeron was the same way.

"Daeron...." Lin gave him a look, "You're holding a grudge. I admit, he was a pain when I was growing up, but when a guy tries to change you have to trust him to that. Yes, your father is really nice, he's always been capable of being really nice, he's had just a few ideals that prevented him from being really nice."

She should know, the first time she had gotten a hint of that was back during her first Christmas present giving in the Four Lands, she also grew to child back then too.

"It's not an excuse, but give him a chance. If Elnara-sissy can sit with him and talk with him, so can you," she crossed her arms over her chest, "Oh and he loved the twins by the way."

Donovan decided not to mention that Lin sounded a bit like her mother talking to Daeron like that, only a bit more of his bluntness. Kara would be the type of person to say... stop holding a grudge.

Daeron shrugged. "You also haven't known him like I have," was his only reply. "You spend a month with him here and there, a day now and again ... he's been my father for sixty three years. Something to keep in mind."

He wished he could have seen the twins. But between the fact that Lore and Elnara had only been to the Four Lands once since their honeymoon, and the fact that he traveled so much, he couldn't help but wonder if he would ever meet them.

"Anyways, I've said I'll go," he concluded, "so let's just leave it at that, shall we?"

Serenity watched her grandson sadly. She could understand his view ... but it still saddened her.

"Okay!" Lin smiled up at Daeron.

Even though a part of her sort of felt sorry for Ruel, sure he had been... well, she was going to be guilty for thinking it, a jackass when she was little, but another part of her also wanted to tell Daeron he hadn't seen his father in ten years.

Well that and Lin was sure that something caused Ruel to have a grand realization somewhere along the line, but she wasn't going to say anything about that neither.

"So where have you been going to?"
