This one involves all game servers, and it'll last for approximately one hour.

- Time : Wednesday, January 4, 7:00 am ~ 8:00 am GMT

MapleStory will be going through a scheduled patch on Friday. January 20th.
The patch will last for approximately 4 hours, and users will not be able to access the game during that time.
All users are advised to safely log off by then.

Dear Maplers,
We have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is the patch will be delayed until the same time on Monday, January 23rd. We are sincerely sorry for this inconvenience. We know many of you were patiently waiting to explore this patch over the weekend.
The good news is the source of the delay. We are having issues implementing Akamai for our downloads. To better serve the MapleStory community, we will be providing the majority of our downloads and patches using Akamai's screaming fast service. Akamai is the global content delivery leader and powers the businesses of companies like Apple, MTV Networks, IBM, etc. During our test, we found Akamai improved download speeds by an average of 80-90%. These improvements will vary by geographic location, but we are sure most of you will experience significant improvements.
We did not publicly announce the Akamai upgrade in our patch notice to surprise our players with the performance of the patch. Again, sincerely sorry for the delay... we are trying our best to bring you the best entertainment service online and hope you can lend us your understanding during this delay.

The ver. 0.16 patch is now complete.
However, we are experiencing a slight delay uploading the full client, and therefore currently unavailable.
The full client will be availabe in 3 hours, around 12:30 am GMT (7:30 am EST)

During the last patch, two pet items, the Rudolph Hat and the Ribbon, were affected by a bug. Since the patch they are not equippable on the Rudolph pet (other pets are not affected).
This bug applies to any Rudolph pets trying to equip these two items. The bug will be fixed at the next patch.
For users that have purchased a Rudolph AND purchased either the Ribbon or the Rudolph hat BEFORE the "Big Update" patch, we will extend the expiration date of the two pet items to make up for lost time due to the bugs.
Other users are advised not to buy these items for their Rudolph pets.
Also, we will provide 1,000 bonus MaplePoints to the users affected by this bug at the sometime prior to the next patch.
We sincerely apologize for your inconvenience.

Following the patch, some users may have experienced login problems where the servers incorrectly determined that the account was already logged in.

Following the server check, these changes will be applied to the game:
- The Happy Lunar New Year Event will be ended, and both the Red Envelope and the Red Bean Porridge will no longer be available in the game.
- The Lunar New Year-Related Packages will be removed from the Cash Shop.
