"Well... for something like this, we would use the dreamscape, I think Lothiriel might be familiar with it from grandfather and her father," Triton murmured, "But seeing those runes would help."
Every bit did, and he doubted he could remember the runes himself.

Estel nodded. "And I wish them the best in luck of getting the portal operational," he chuckled. "We've been looking forward to this for a long time ... but then, you know how Lothiriel is. Predicting things and making the rest of us impatient for them to come to pass."
He chuckled softly and began to lead them back up the passageway, through the magic door (which reappeared after they had passed through it) and towards the main part of the castle.

Triton chuckled at this, yes he would imagine so that others would be impatience especially if it was good news, well that and he was amused that Estel was still teasing Lothiriel even now.
"I can imagine...." he murmured, "Everyone has been looking forward to this as well."
Though it comes from being so close to the people here.

When they made it back up to the study, Estel put Amora on the floor again so that she could walk.
"Where's your mother?" he asked her with a grin.
Amora looked thoughtful for a moment. "Um ... with Pen," she replied after a moment's thought. "But he's still sleeping."
Estel nodded and squeezed her shoulder. "Go ask your mother for some of those lessons you always ask for," he told her. "But be careful not to wake Pen."
Amora's eyes lit up, and she giggled happily. "Okay!" she beamed, and she started to skip off down the hall. "Bye, bye, Triton and Caranthir!" she waved as she vanished around a corner.

Triton watched the conversation with interest, and while he knew for a fact Lothiriel had told them that she would be putting Pen down for a nap, he couldn't help but think. That was an awfully lot like Lothiriel herself.
He waved, watching her disappear around a corner before asking, "She's... a bit like Lothiriel, isn't she?"

Estel chuckled softly and headed towards one of the bookcases, reaching up to take a small metal box from one of the higher up shelves.
"Lothiriel says that even she didn't have the Gift this early in her life," he replied with a proud smile. "Lothiriel is training her up to use her Gift wisely, and who knows? Maybe someday she'll be as powerful as Lothiriel ... or perhaps even more so."
"Then it is true?" Caranthir spoke up quietly, his blue eyes filled with curiosity. "Her Majesty truly is a Seer?"
Estel nodded to Caranthir. "Very much so," he said warmly, his voice filled with adoration for his wife.

Triton could not help but note in interest about that, he always knew of coruse Lothiriel was a seer, it was hard not to since she seemed to know more about him than he would have thought his siblings had said. Well that and Miyu had once gone chattering about Lothiriel and how she knew 'everything' like Yami-san did.
"Talk about really running in the family," Triton murmured, "I remember working with Nadya once, but that was a long time ago."
Before Lothiriel was born actually, it was really weird if he took time to think about it.

"From what I understand," Estel murmured, setting the box on the desk and opening it carefully, "it's a Gift that runs particularly strongly through bloodlines. I mean, every elf has a hint of Sight ... but the Aldrich bloodline is rumoured to have it stronger than any other family, and if Nadya and Lothiriel and Amora are any example ..."
He shrugged, then grinned and removed several sheets of paper from the box.

This was true, and if Triton (for he had been the few left out of the loop) knew about Aragost, he would have known why it ran so strongly in the Aldrich family. However he didn't, and probably the only person there who could offer that sort of insight was Elros.
Triton grinned, "Indeed, it must have been interesting for Lothiriel growing up," he couldn't help but think of Nadya and of course his grandfather.
He wondered if they had met the family since Estel and Lothiriel came to settle down here.

Estel chuckled. "I don't know about when she was growing up, but I will never forget the first time I met her. Almost the first thing she said was, 'Yes, I'll travel north with you.'"
He shook his head, chuckling, and looked through the papers he had taken out, then handed several of them to Triton. "Detailed drawings and descriptions, not only of the runes, but of the tunnel and the magic door as well," he grinned. "Think it will be enough?"

Triton couldn't help but chuckle as he peered at the drawings and descriptions and here he had been worried he would have to remember it all.
"More than enough," he replied with a smile.
They had after all worked with less.
"Yuki is going to love this."

When at long last, Caranthir and Triton left the castle once more and headed back towards the inn where they were all staying, Caranthir glanced curiously at Triton, still smiling the same lazy smile that had been on his face for the entire afternoon.
"So you have known His Majesty a long time?" he questioned, leading the way through the streets.

Now there was a loaded question, Triton knew that the last time Lin had been there, it had been ten years since the wedding of Lore and Elnara, or somewhere there. Who knew how much time had passed since then? In truth, Triton had only met Pen during that wedding period, granted it was for two months nearly, but still it had only been once.
But it had been so many years...
"Nearly two decades I think...." Triton replied, "I tend to lose track of time easily."

Caranthir nodded. "Long before they became our rulers," he murmured softly. "This explains much."
He was curious to know how it was easy to lose track of time, but he deemed it none of his business and decided not to ask. Perhaps he would find out in time, anyways.

Triton wondered if he was referring to the amount of familiarity he had with the two. Of course in a way Triton had been one of the firsts to end up here in the Four Lands (minus his grandfather of course) and it had been... maybe sixty years or somewhere around there since then.
Once back at he inn, he noticed that everyone was quite settled in. Cindy was already taking this moment to do whatever lessons she could not being in the Borderlands.
