Raijin sighed coming out of the darkness, "Pardon me for leaving you. I thought you would have liked some privacy. I hope I was not mistaken" He said rubbing the back of his neck. Raijin did feel some guilt for leaving his master, but then again even when he was ordered to leave he still felt as though he was failing. He guessed it was just the natural desire every subordinate has to protect their master.
"Anyway is there anything I can do for you?" He asked his yellow predatorial eye piercing through the shadows of the court and staring at her intently. This was one of the element that gave Raijin his fierce look. This eye that was slit almost resembling the eye of a lion or great predator of some kind. "I hope you are pleased with Sara's development. Perhaps you'll get to see her in action at some point soon. Then you'll be able to truly tell just how much she's grown." He said hoping she would appreciate his work. Raijin did want to know more about Sara but figured agitating her would not be wise and eventually she may tell him. After all no secret could remained buried forever.

"Thank you, Raijin," Jes said, a bit too distracted to realize that she'd actually doled out a (almost) compliment. The spirit of Sara's sister was being particularly vocal after Zane's appearance, and the noise was rather distracting. She chewed on the inside of her lip, an uncharacteristic fidget for her, then looked at Raijin. His eyes flashed with the look of a kindred predator, but that wasn't really why she trusted him so much. He was kinder-- at least in her presence-- than any other arrancar she'd met. This excess of emotion, in contrast to her apparently complete lack of feeling, resonated with her. It made her willing to entrust him with her Court's well-being.
"You didn't miss much," She continued. "Just the leader of the Exequias-- Zane Jackson. He has his eye on... On disrupting my Court, but that is not something I want. You have my blessing to kill him should you deem it prudent. I imagine, also, that he will be watching us. Let him watch-- he should see how powerful our Dark Court is,"
The soul's protestations were getting louder and small jolts of fear and anxiety were pressing on her, urging her to find Sara. I really must find a way to silence her for good, Jes mused.
"Anyway, I think, if she heals, we should take our new weapon on a test-run. I'd very much like to see the sort of firepower we've got at our disposal," Jes could see the questioning look in Raijin's eyes. She knew he was curious and wished to know more of her relationship with Sara, but that was something she wasn't willing to share. Beyond that, she didn't want Zane to discover it, either, so Raijin would have to be left to work it out himself.

Raijin nodded, "Very well. I suppose we shall. Are you ok?" He asked looking at her. Se was after all a littler sister to him. He always thought her being the 1st espada would be too much stress for her so he often asked how she was just to make sure. Though he usually never got a heartfelt response, it was usually something along the line of I'm fine or stop bothering me, but he felt it necessary to ask anyway just in case he could get lucky and catch her on a good day.
Raijin looked around hearing the grumbles from the shadows. His left hand rose up as a grey sphere of reiatsu began to gleam out through the darkness. Raijin smiled looking around hearing the dull idiotic noise silence. The sphere then faded as Raijin returned his gaze to Jes knowing that she was annoyed when her subordinates bickered amongst themselves like animals.

"That's not your concern," Jes said, eyes narrowing for a moment. Damn Raijin for being perceptive. She felt her Court grow uneasy, echoing her own discomfort. She could only fight these impulses for so long before they ruined her concentration and put her in a bad mood.
"Since you're so interested in people's well-beings, make yourself useful-- go see to Sara. If there's no improvement, finish her. I don't need broken things," She knew this was something she should be doing herself, but this act was merely part of the game she played with the powerful soul inside her. Inevitably, she would lose out and do as the soul wanted, but until then, it was a contest to see how long she could hold out. Ordering Raijin to kill Sara was purely for her own amusement-- a dig at the soul's sensibilities that made it scream inside her head all the louder.

"So since you said it's none of your concern that means...." Raijin said breaking off the sentence making it known that he could see through her snappy come backs. He was after all the oldest numeros and was with her most of the time making him probably the closest thing to a friend she had. Raijin knew exactly how she was feeling but knew with everyone else here she would never vent to him or even show emotion so he figured digging at an open wound would only cause unnecessary consequences.
Raijin chuckled a bit at her remark, "You humor me Jes" He said bowing at her request making it known that he was going to check. He slowly strode off heading into the section where Sara was. All the other arrancar knew Raijin was the second strongest being in this court and moved out of his way as he walked over to Sara. "Give her to me" He said in a soft tone to the giant one letting him know he was in no way angry but merely wanted to see her. He sighed when he held her realizing she wasn't as light as she looked. "Let's see I think we can help your healing speed up a bit" He whispered sitting down on the cot made for her. He pressed his forehead to her letting out a calming sigh as his reiatsu slowing flowed into her's, his reiatsu flowed like a cool river entering gently and washing over Sara's strengthening it instead of fighting against it. By doing this he was literally strengthening her and speeding up her regenerative abilities. Raijin did not believe in killing his own, especially one he had trained so he was going to do everything in his power to make her better than ever.

"And you put far too much stock in my good humor," Jes said to no one in particular. Raijin had gone to do as she had bidden-- he was respectful in that regard, at least. The screaming soul in her head, of course, would not stand for such cavalier treatment of her sister. She was practically pitching a fit which was doing nothing for Jes's nerves.
Finally, she turned on her heel, following the same corridor down which Raijin had disappeared. She felt Raijin's reiatsu flare, and her heart gave an involuntary lurch. Her pace quickened, suddenly gripped by the soul's anxiety. Of course, Raijin will do anything you command, Iri was a strong presence in her mind, goading her as she walked along. Members of her Court parted to the right and left, making way for her.
She turned the corner. Sara's room was just on the left, and Raijin's reiatsu was flowing freely, now. Stop, Raijin! I didn't mean it! Raijin, I-- "Raijin," She said his name aloud, though her voice betrayed none of her worry. It was at that point that she realized what it was Raijin as doing. She relaxed, regaining her composure in the blink of an eye.
"That's cheating," She told him with no particular inflection in her voice.

"Since the rules weren't specified when the game began I can truthfully say that cheating does not apply" He said not bothering to stop the flow of reiatsu, he was going to slowly give her 1/5 of his reiatsu which would be more than enough to return her to her natural and well healed self. Though the trick was to flow it slowly so he wouldn't overwhelm her natural balance. Which was why it was taking so long, "Do not worry Nee-san I would not kill her. I don't believe in killing my own kind, or at least those that are dear to us" Raijin spoke softly almost referring to him and Jes as one. He didn't mind speaking a little heart to heart with her, he knew she would remain her natural clinical self but why should he change himself? He figured it ok to show his soft side every once and a while.
Raijin let out a soft sigh as after a few minutes his head slowly came back up resting in it's normal position. Raijin knew that she hated to be seen as compassionate so he figured he would hold her for now since as she said Someone could be watching. "She really is quite unique. I can see why everyone seems to want her" Raijin said once more in a soft tone making sure not to make it seem like her Desired Sara. To be honest Raijin was more interested in Jes than he was in Sara, he merely cared for her because she cared for Sara.

"Trust you to find the loophole," Jes retorted, a dry note in her usually-toneless voice. Alone with Raijin and with Sara, she felt quite at ease. A certain softness crept into her demeanor that would normally never been seen. She felt an unnatural wave of jealousy seeing Raijin cradling Sara like that. Though, whether she envied Raijin's intimacy with Sara or envied Sara for being the object of Raijin's affection was unclear even to her. Sometimes--
No. Jes shook her head, clearing those thoughts away before they could fully surface. "Yes-- she's... different. It's the soul. It's very old, so... But all of my warriors are powerful. I wouldn't put up with them if they weren't," At this point, she wasn't necessarily speaking only of Sara. After a moment's hesitation, she held out her arms, indicating that she wanted to take Sara from him for a moment.
"May I?" She asked, forgetting for a second that she could have simply commanded him.

Sara's brow furrowed under Raijin's as she came awake by degrees. Warmth was trickling into her, spreading until she was cocooned by it, floating and light in her own skin. The comforting rush of energy faded just as she opened her eyes, and a heavy weariness returned to her limbs.
She became aware of someone's arms around her. The last she remembered was of Jes's long arms holding her securely, of a coolness slipping down her throat, then dreamless sleep. She thought she remembered being held against a broad chest in the palms of giant's hands, but she attributed that to sleepy imagination.
"Jes," she sighed, not fully awake. She tilted her face upwards, sleepily searching for another taste of the red-eyed woman's energy. In doing so, she caught sight of the face above her. She blinked, vision swimming then clearing. The eyes that swam into focus weren't the expected shade of red.
"Raijin," She said more alertly, hardly realizing she'd said Jes's name aloud. "Where am I? What happened?"

"You should ask her" Raijin said standing and passing her off. "Yes you may" He said with the soft tone. Once passing her off he sat down against the cool lifeless ground, he then laid out on it letting out a relaxing sigh as it's cool dark composure enveloped him. "This reminds me of christmas, waking up with the cold all around you and wrapping the blanket tighter so that the cold doesn't rush in all at once but slowly seeps in and snuggles with you" He said aloud his eyes widening when he realized he said that when he should have thought it. Then again Raijin was already seen as a nurturing type so it wasn't too bad.
When Raijin's eyes closed he smiled, each heartbeat of his resonated outward from the ground allowing him to see everyone based on their reiatsu, emotion, and even movement. He smiled at the realization loving how developed his presquisa was. It even rivaled some espada since this ability was overlooked. Though not Raijin it was the one thing he felt necessary over most other abilities. His presquisa was so strong he could even sense emotion from people, so even when Jes tried he best to hide those compassionate feelings from him it was futile.

Jes settled Sara's weight against her, inspecting the girl for signs of her past injuries. Her skin was a shiny pink where the worst burns had been, while the less severe areas had already smoothed over, completely healed. The puncture wounds that riddled her body weren't healing so nicely. They were still bright red and raw, this one bleeding, that one seeping a combination of platelets and diseased cells. These were hollow wounds, she could tell. There were certain hollows whose wounds often festered more quickly.
"You're too human for your own good," She told Raijin as she carefully inspected the hole in Sara's palm with gentle fingers. The edges were black, the surrounding skin necrotic. Jes pressed her lips together and looked at Sara's face. Their eyes met, Sara's dark brown and half-asleep. Jes could see the pain in them and it was nearly a physical wound to her.
"And we are certainly not human at all," She muttered half to herself as she sat, draping Sara across her lap. She leaned down and kissed Sara's forehead, releasing a flood of shadow as she did. Dark streamers flowed from the folds of Jes's clothing, from the corners of the room, even from beneath Raijin, as they attended to their mistress's call. They seeped across the floor and over Sara's form, flowing into her mouth and coiling in her wounds. Jes held her tightly, aware that this process would be painful, given the nature of the wounds to be treated.

"Humanity leads to compassion, compassion leads to a desire to protect, and a desire to protect leads to a hidden strength" He said almost as quickly as Jes had criticized him. Raijin was a very intelligent person people rarely won arguments with him because of the fact that rebuttals were his specialty. Jes probably knew this and hopefully she would accept his logic because it had been proven time and time again that Raijin was quite strong and some couldn't figure why. "You say things like that, but we both know the real you" He whispered, almost saying it silently but he knew she would hear it. Raijin figured why not be a bit bold today, he often would push Jes, just a nudge every few months. Though after a few centuries a nudge a month turns into a great push. Raijin smiled at this acknowledgment nuzzling against the ground loving it's cool presence.
Raijin could feel her reiatsu rise and he shadow seep from every corner of her court and envelop Sara. "Holes take time, you should gain patience. My reiatsu is enough to heal her" He said a slight smirk forming on his face. He purposefully said this wondering if she would answer in a defensive manner or a realizing one. This was one of the many tests Raijin performed hoping she would eventually slip up, though she was number one for a reason so he didn't get his hopes up.

Sara winced as her movement from Raijin to Jes jostled her. Her skin wasn't nearly so sensitive as before, but the wounds from the hollow felt hot and stiff. She wasn't sure she wanted to see the wounds, but Jes was inspecting them thoroughly. Although her inspections were strangely gentle, the tissue around the wounds was tender and stung at her prodding.
Finding Jes's eyes with her own, Sara could see a strange depth to her otherwise flat, red gaze. Jes kissed her forehead, and Sara felt the now familiar flow of power collecting around her. Her body relaxed, ready to accept the soothing energy as it slid down her throat. The coolness settled in her chest and radiated outward, focusing on the sites of her injuries. The cold numbed her injuries at first, but then they began to burn. Sara stiffened as the burning grew. It felt as though something was eating away at the skin of her hand, shoulder, side and legs. She curled in on herself as Jes's grip on her tightened. Clenching her teeth, Sara writhed in silent pain, suddenly oblivious to her surroundings once more.
Then it was over as quickly as it had come. The soothing cold returned, numbing her inside and out. Her wounds had healed over in most areas, though the edges of each puncture wound was jaggedly scarred, the centers pink and fragile. She opened her mouth a fraction, clearly desirous of more of Jes's energy. She watched the woman above her with an infant-like dependancy.

Jes held tightly against Sara's thrashing, hating to cause her pain, yet knowing it would speed the healing process along tremendously. She was rewarded as Sara quieted once more. The wounds were several times better than their original appearance. The festering tissue had left small, jagged scars, but they weren't raised or disfiguring. The looked like little sunbursts on Sara's skin.
A glance at Sara told her that the pain of a few moments prior was already forgotten. Like so many in the Court, Sara was growing addicted to Jes's shadow. It was a strategy more effective than threats or punishments to keep her controlled and by her side. Jes smiled down at her affectionately.
"Why settle for just your power when she so clearly wants mine?" She said, seeing Sara's lips part hungrily. She lowered her face towards Sara's, lips dripping with shadow, teasingly close but not giving the power. Smarting from Raijin's remarks about humanity, Jes wanted to push back at him. Sealing her lips over Sara's, she kissed her full on the mouth, breathing concentrated shadow into her. Her eyes, however, found and held Raijin's, daring him to comment.
[intentionally vulgar win!]
