(No problem)

Melethia came running to Rhys and Amelia. She eased her Fire aura a bit to make it so the tow of them were not overheating.

(( ... Hey guys, I'm still here. Just... inactive. D: ))

Nils played once more for Rhys and Amelia, with the boost from Ninis' Grace.

The prospect of facing what appeared to be a Sage and a Bishop (EEP) scared the Arch Mogall a bit, making it pause short of the group.

Uh... I don't like these odds. Let's just make this quick.

The Arch Mogall and its companions then propelled themselves forward quickly as the Arch focused its eye for a split second on Rhys, then opened its eye wide and pointed a tentacle.

LOOK BEHIND YOU! THERE'S A BEAR!!

Amelia, Renault, and Soren might have been a bit confused by the sudden display of emotion from the monster. Rhys, however, was so startled by hearing those words that he spun around. "A bear!? Where?"

His foot was immediately grabbed by an outstretched tentacle.

"Oh, for the love of--AAH!"

And Rhys was pulled quickly among the three Mogalls!

KEEP AWAY!

And the three Mogalls began playing catch with the poor priest, passing him from one mass of tentacles to the next.

"M-Mogalls playing catch with people? COME ON! Now these monsters are just being stupid! This is so... infuriating!"

(OOC: I had to do it.)

(( Oh noes! D: ))

Nils blinked in surprise. "... Milord?" He really did not know what to do.
Personally, the shota-bard feared that they might find him more entertaining than Rhys if he drew too much attention to himself...

Melethia charged and punched down one of the Mogalls down. "Are you that stupid Rhys?" She asked as she tried to free him.

Renault wasn't so surprised at this display as he was at Rhys' reaction to the display; when Rhys actually turned around, the bishop's jaw quite literally dropped and he smacked one hand into his face to hide his expression. "Goddess. . . is this some sort of a test?" he murmured. "If it is, it is quite the ingenious one. . ." To tell the truth, he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to save the priest after that display. But a moment later, with a sigh, he brought the magic to bear again, this time on one of the Arches. Even if the priest was gullible, that was no reason for him to be harmed. A burst of light shot towards one of the Arch Mogalls, the one catching Rhys at the moment, in fact.

Amelia blinked. What? Why would a bear be out in this cold? She nevertheless did get distracted, and as one rapidly wrapped a tentacle around Rhys and nabbed him away, she leaped in surprise. "Oh for the love of...!" she yelled in exasperation. What was with these stupid eyeballs? While they were busy tossing Rhys about, Amelia ran at the nearest one and plunged her lance through its back.

"Drop him, please~" she said in a menacingly-sweet voice as she yanked the weapon out of the Mogall without another word. She had to admit, though; the image of three eyeballs playing catch with the orange-haired priest was very amusing.

The priest gasped as the soldiers piled through. Others hadn't made it from other parts of the castle, he knew, but at least he had saved all these ones. Now he just had to--

As he stepped forward, the portal collapsed and winked into nonexistence before his eyes. They widened in fear as he saw icy veins rush around the corner, covering the walls in frost as the main part of the freezing spell came toward him. He turned to run, but already it swept under his feet and rushed up his body, enveloping him in thick sheets of ice that built over top of one another.

-----

The castle was secure. At last, the spell had come around to meet itself. No one remained unfrozen within the castle but himself and his beloved. Leander sat on bed, smiling and reaching out to stroke Nino's cheek, running his finger up and brushing her hair back. "I've missed you so, my dear. I'm so sorry my return shocked you so," he murmured, but there would be time for catching up later.

He had secured his castle. Now he had to eradicate his enemies outside.

Once more, Leander climbed to his feet and opened his arcane book. This time, there was no search, no slow turn of the pages. He knew exactly what spell he was looking for. Pages flipped past his clammy, pale thumb, and then he pressed it down a bit to stop at the page he was looking for.

Merely by opening to this page, Leander summoned winds within the room that swirled and settled. He brought his finger to the page and held the book at arm's length, narrowing his eyes, which began to glow a ghostly blue, crackling with power.

He began to read aloud...

-----

The wind picked up outside the castle. It died down, then picked up again, stronger. And this time, it didn't die down. It grew in intensity and began to howl like some unearthly beast. The clouds darkened ominously high above and thunder rumbled among their highest reaches.

Very suddenly, a blast of cold air poured straight down on the earth. The mogalls were no match for whatever it was-- they were dragged and whipped suddenly through the air, thrown through the town, impaled on towers and fences, smashed to death against trees and walls. Many of the people gathered down on the ground were knocked to the ground or pushed around and around by the sheer force of the wind, and the temperature spiked sharply downward, dropping like a stone. The snow began to thicken, thrown into one's face by the wind.

It was the sort of blizzard that could kill a person awfully quickly.

Leander smiled to himself when the spell was complete. Immediately around the castle, the wind began to intensify until it became a wall of wind so strong one could not approach it or even warp through it.

All access to the castle from the outside had been blocked off now, with Nino and Leander inside.

Leander snapped the book shut, returning to Nino's side. "They will learn the wrath of the king, my sweet," he murmured, lying down beside her on top of the covers, with her underneath them. "I can begin again, with a nice clean kingdom, after I've buried them in snow and frozen them all to death..."
