Missy's eyes flickered toward Lithil's hand. She noticed the pipes around her waist. "I dont mean you any harm. I just wish to see the face behind such a perplexing creature." Missy said while keeping her hands by her waist.

[OOC]I'm wondering now if people went outside, or if Lithil came inside.[/OOC]
Watching as his newfound friends faced off against the not-so-zombified threat, and suddenly begun to talk through the tension, Virgil stayed his distance for a bit. Of course, that was only so he could take the time to grab his weaponry, strapping the bass onto his back and loading his revolver.
As Missy was taking steps to try and pacify the beast, Virgil kept in the behind. He wanted to see what Missy could do...as well as Lithil. Things had just gotten interesting in this city.

Lithil's facial expression, if discernible beneath the dust, grime and hair, slid to that of comical unamused-ness. Still keeping a safe distance from the older unaffected woman, the girl raised an eyebrow. "You're acting like I'm not human or something." The girl started, then paused, looking pensive. "... wellll... no, I guess I'm not. But I'm not some weird kind of freakshow thing, like a zoo attraction or sommat. You're acting like this is a new kind of species or something, like on that old TV channel... thing..." Pulling her hair slightly back from her face, the girl pursed her lips together.

Missy flinched at Lithil's words. They were true, she was treating her like she wasnt human. "I'm sorry. It seems i have lost my manners over the years. If you would forgive me for being rude i would appreciate it." Missy said with a saddened voice. "I am glad that you let me see your face. Now i know its going to be hard to do but could you explain what you are." Missy said in a soothing tone.
((We are outside))

"Heh." The unaffected 'code yellow' girl chuckled, shaking her head morosely, eyebrows raised, stirring the silt on her features again. Rubbing the back of her head in a characteristically teenager way, the girl tugged at her ill-fitting tank-top. "Honestly, I don't blame you. The kinds of conditions we need to survive here, manners are just an unaerodynamic feature to be thrown off the model for a smoother ride, to use an allegory." Rubbing a hand over her face, Lithil hiccuped. "I'm only vaguely certain of my current... state. I know only that I am able to adjust my physical... being to my liking. As such, my behavior earlier on was because I was readjusting the brain mass I had taken for use in other places so I could regain my old personality. I had also taken apart my voicebox for other uses, so the silence earlier wasn't from choice by necessity." The strange girl turned her now-clear grey gaze to Missy again. "Am I making any sense?"

Finding that Missy and Lithil had made peace, Virgil came out to play along with the gals. Lithil had explained her reasons for her shape-shifting. So, thus did Virgil enter the fray.
"You're making perfect sense, Lithil." he explained, walking up to stand beside Missy...though he kept his distance from her as well. Not that she wasn't likeable, it was that he wasn't sure how she'd react. Best not to anger her.
"I've got something to ask you...would you mind tagging with us? We were going to assault the mall, to make room for us all and to gain a better foothold in this city." Virgil explained, hoping that Lithil would answer yes.
Then he added in a bit of information, just as a kicker incentive: "I think I discovered the source of our powers...care to know?"

Lithil hiccuped again, the sudden jerking motion of her diaphragm causing her frame to shake violently. Holding a hand up to indicate that this wouldn't take a moment, she inhaled deeply, chest swelling almost disproportionately. Cheeks puffed up with the held breath, she waited a moment before exhaling gustily. "O-Okay." She hiccuped again. "Bugger!" She gave up, shaking her head again. "Eesh. hic The mall?" The 'code yellow' girl fixed the newcomer with a serious gaze. "In which direction is that? I'm not sure whether I'm quite used to contact with other, um, humans hic but if it gets me closer to the tower I'm in." The tower Lithil referred to was difficult to miss. Looming against the smoky sky at all times, in the anarchy following the first wave a demonic face had been carved into its once-industrial windows, grinning eerily down over the chaos below. It had once been one of the few business towers that sprung up like mushrooms in the economical boom, but now it was just a ghost of its former self. What Lithil wanted with it, it was difficult to understand, but from the determined set of the teenager's jaw you could tell it was important. "Our hic powers?" The girl blinked. "Will I be able to understand hic the explanation?" She had only taken sophomore-year high school biology, really. Well, only part of it- usually a zombie invasion kind of cuts your education short...

Missy noticed the girls clothes and excused herself from the conversation. She went inside the diner and rummeged through her bag a pulled out a tanktop and a pair of mens basketball shorts. She walked back outside to the group. "Sorry to interupt but i noticed your clothes dont really fit you. I had an extra pair of clothes in my bag and i want you to have them." Missy said to Lithil while holding out the clothes.

Lithil blinked a few times, staring at the proffered items of clothing. "Thhic-thank you." She managed, eyes wide. They were already sharing things with her? She never expected such sudden trust or generosity! With little care for modesty, she stripped off the remaining rags that once were her old cargo pants and wife beater, tugging on the tank top and shorts with relish. She, admittedly, wasn't much to look at, at least with all the grime and mud collected, but the scars that rippled along her spine, ribcage, hipbones, were difficult to miss. Despite her unmistakably young body, she had a far older aura than any other teenager of her age, serious and deep-thinking. It made you wonder what things she had gone through to undergo such a transition. Arms spread wide, she admired how much better the new clothes fit her. "Ahhh, that's much hic better!"

Missy smiled. "Good, and when we taake over the mall we can have even better clothes than this." She laughed. She didnt miss the scars but didnt ask. She knew better than anyone not to ask. If Lithil wanted to talk about them she would.

"And maybe, I dunno, find a shower or something..." Lithil scratched at her scalp, not daring even to try finger-combing her hair anymore. She valued her digits, as they had a tendency of being useful... Some time ago, a lifetime ago, a lifestyle ago, her hair used to be the envy of her schoolmates, so long, so glossy... the survivors had to make sacrifices and Lithil once being a superficial teenager, this was to her one of the worse ones. Still, it didn't matter anymore. Nothing but survival mattered to her this time around. Hiccup.

Waiting for Missy to grab Lithil some clothes, and for Lithil to slip into them, Virgil took sometime to reflect. Lithil was warming up to the group. Admittedly, for the most part, the group was already getting quite close. I guess calamity does that to people. Virgil though to himself.
"Yeah, it's in that tower's direction," Virgil nodded, though he didn't like the idea of going there. The inner city would have many more zombies, and the stronger variants too. And who's to say they didn't have powers too?
But that's what having more people was about.
The blue haired-boy continued: "About the powers...I don't have full knowledge about how it works...but what I do know is that it's tied to the zombie plague...and that this epidemic was planned.
So now that you know, are you onboard?" he finished with an inviting smile.
