((The Watchtower is not a ship, it's a Moon base. I'd say for the sake of the argument, that the explosion was small, and in a singular area (the docking bay area); to think that the Watchtower wouldn't be able to seal off different parts of its interior in the event of a hull breach is kind of silly, especially due to it being on a natural satellite with no atmosphere. As for the sensors, it's possible that they were offline or something. Dunno what to say about the force field, though... Meh, screw it. Let's keep OOC clutter out for now, worry about the technicalities later.))

The pile of debris around the pod shifted as the space-faring vehicle began to unlock secret hinges and open up. The process would take a few minutes, enough time for everyone to get to the docking bay. The top section would split in half, pushing the majority of scrapped metal off to the sides as the side portions of the pod expanded out, further clearing the area. The inner section of the pod was a soft, pliable material that seemed to be a flexible metal that was filled with some sort of liquid that could be compared to amniotic fluid. This inner shell was lifted to stand erect as the two halves of the outer hull rotated. The light that switched on from inside the pod illuminated the inner shell from beneath and outlined a humanoid shape that was large and mysterious, as well as intimidating. Judging by it's outline, the heroes in the Watchtower would likely come to the conclusion that their 'guest' was not from Earth or anywhere near the solar system entirely.

The fluid inside the inner shell started to drain as small whirs and clicks began sounding off around the pod and several compartments popped open. These compartments held weapons and items for the passenger of the pod and would be waiting for him to fully wake up.

About the time everyone got into the docking bay, the fluid would have completely drained and the figure inside the now seemingly melted inner shell would start producing it's own sounds. They were soft at first, like a computer when it's first started up. Within a few moments the tall figure stopped making noises and fell silent. It's hands rose, moving the inner shell as they did, and it began to tear at the heavy material. With a final move, the shell tore and fluid that hadn't drained splattered over the immediate area surrounding the pod and likely whoever present was closest to the intruder.

"Affirmative, Robin," Brigade replied after a moment.

Abby had her arms wrapped so tightly around Tim's neck he might have started choking, so she hastily moved her arms away from him, blushing profusely, and she stood up, helping him and Jinx up as well.

"Uhh-- Okay, I'm scared..." she said, and she was literally shaking uncontrollably. Poor girl. Maybe if a certain bird were to give her a hug, she'd feel better.

((The moving toward the Docking Bay may take a little bit for these characters, Nishito. so just have W4N-D3R stay put.))

Hal turned his attention towards Batman when he arrived. ”Well, there's a lot to talk about. But for now, you may want to start with some of the newer faces. I've been here for hours and there was no one. When I got back, I got an alarm that the systems here had been hacked into. He says he's from another reality, and technology like ours is simple. But...he's here to help.” he replied, looking over at the man in question.

((Less of an asteroid, more like a... Well, I dunno. All I know is, an asteroid would probably destroy the Watchtower, they're so big. Meh, whatevs.))

"But-- But--" Abby stammered, watching as Bruce left, and her protestations, quiet as they were, were drowned out by the droning klaxons that had yet to shut off, though they would within the next minute or two. She forced herself to breathe deeply and calm down, looking worriedly from her little group to Dark Link and Annette. She figured these people wouldn't hurt her, but what about whatever hit the Watchtower? She'd heard of those "Face Huggers" from the Alien films, and seeing as how everyone around her was formerly fictional from her perspective (most of them at least), what was to stop those horrifying monsters from showing up?

This didn't help Abby at all, and she was close to losing it totally and just crying her eyes out, when she suddenly felt herself calm down. She looked around, and saw her writer, his hand held out in a calming gesture with a small smile on his face. He wouldn't let anything hurt her, of course. A part of her thought it a shame that none of these guys could see these people that hid behind the Fourth Wall...

"Thanks, Writer..." she said in her mind, and he just smiled.

Hal took one look back at the others, then turned and headed out with Batman. He knew why he was comming. Batman couldn't go out without his ring to keep if anything had happened to the atmospheric shield surrounding the base.

I'm waiting for the other two to post to see if anyone stops them before we post that we've actually gotten to the hanger. Just be patient, we'll let you know when we get there. If you're so bored over there, make a second, less bizarre character and plop him/her some where else.))
