"Let's leave. We need to get to Ala'dorma immediately and resupply. Once there I will find answers," Callista said and stood completely still, listening to her surroundings. Her elven ears could not pick out anything that was in their immediate danger and so she began to walk away. She extended a quick thank you to Carolos for his hospitality and then walked out of the forest, not really bothering to look if Raykine was with her. Callista's eyes were blurry slightly from the building of tears. God dammit...

Raykine walked up to Callista and nudged her shoulder gently, "Callista? Is something wrong?" He paused for a moment, thinking about what happened in the camp, "Are you angry at me? For the way I was acting?"

"No, no," she said reassuringly. "I'm just so damn frustrated! I didn't expect it would be so god damn hard to find information about the war. Just information! No fights, just information." Callista wiped away the tear that had rolled down her cheek. There, you're fine now. "Oh, I didn't pay you your money yet have I?"

He placed a hand on her shoulder, his other hand brushing against her cheek, "Callista...don't worry about the money. What you already paid me is enough." He paused before he spoke again, "I just want to help you Callista...as long as I can."

Callista's teary expression turned to confusion. "What exactly did I pay you with?" she asked innocently, running over everything that had happened during their...three or so days together.

He smiled at her, "Your kindness and company. That's all I really want." He looked at the direction they were heading, "Would you like me to carry you? Or would you rather walk?"

"Oh," Callista said and blushed, her purple hair covering her eyes perfectly. "Um...I guess my mount did run away didn't he? You wouldn't mind carrying me? I really don't feel like walking right now." She smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

He smiled at her, "I don't mind at all, really." He sweep her off her feet and carried her close to his chest, "Or I could become a wolf again and you could ride me."

"Oh," Callista said taken by surprise by his movement. "Maybe wolf would be better and this wouldn't look so...weird..." Like a grown woman riding a wolf isn't weird at all either! She smiled somewhat awkwardly.

Raykine nodded as he sat her feet down and let go of her. His legs started to change as he spoke, "I have more than enough energy to run there, just relax. Riding on a wolf is just like riding a horse." He finished morphing as he laid down on the ground for Callista to get on.

"Like a horse," Callista giggled apprehensively and mounted Raykine. "Do you know which way you're going? Don't worry, I'll stay awake." She patted Ray on his furry shoulder uncertainly and they bounded off. Very soon, they had arrived at Ala'dorma with Ray not having any difficulty finding the place.
"You can change back now," she said and jumped off him quickly and expertly and began to walk through the gates of the great city.

He changed and stood up, rubbing his shoulders, "So what are we doing in this city?" His hand was on his sword and he walked closer to the massive gates.

Callista walked close to Raykine and noticed him rubbing his shoulders. "Um...we're going to resupply, find the Council, I'll talk to them about the war, and then we'll get a room where I can massage the stress out of your shoulders and then we can go on our ways," she said this with some disappointment but kept her head high anyways. They walked through the gates and were greeted with a few wary and suspicious eyes following them. "First, a room." She headed towards the nearest Inn and ordered a room, before Ray could protest and marched up the stairs, beckoning Ray with her hand.

He frowded as she paid for the room already. He walked up the stairs slowly, "Callista, what did you saw about a Council?" He had a hard time being with a lot of people in a city, but a lot of people in a closed space would probably drive him mad.

"Council? Oh, I'm just going to go in for a couple minutes. It won't take very long, and you don't have to go in with me," she said, noticing his uneasiness. They were in the sparsely furnished room (another poor one), and she smiled. "Okay. Take your shirt off, get on the bed and lay face down." She took her leather boots off and placed them on the floor, disposed of her weapon and cloak and waited for Ray to do what he was bidden.
