Kikyo shrugged.
"I can hack a complicated system on my cell phone." She said. "I don't really need a bunch of high tech equipment to track a bug. But whatevs." she nodded and waited for Erik's reply.

"Krious has operations in nearly every country on the face of the planet, hell he might even have his own space program. Wouldn't surprise me a bit. Anyway, he is the evilest guy you'll ever find, but he's smart. He manipulates. He twists. He doesn't go suicide bombing a couple of towers, he gets other people to do that." Erik knew a lot about what he was up against, his grandfather had dedicated his life to fighting this guy. "And I know you probably don't need complicated equipment, but Krious knows his stuff. The only way anyone's hacked his system is using one of his computers. He's got tons of people working for him, he calls his operation The Hellspawn Empire, due to the fact that the people who work for him are so evil, Hell itself would spit them back out." Erik hated saying that name, it seemed to carry it's own curse. "He only gets involved personally when something is too difficult for his subordinates to handle. I killed one of his officers, he hunts me down. It's a simple transaction."

"It would be good to know his operations here. I don't know if he's got anything major going on around here, mostly because I can't hack the system. And no, you aren't being hunted, all you did was epically fail at intervening. And that's what Krious thinks, and he isn't going to go after someone that didn't put up a fight. You did fight, but since you didn't show any real power, he doesn't give a s**t about you. Me, well, he and my grandfather were eternal enemies, so he thinks I have great power. He's probably wrong.

"Ah, here we are. Welcome to my very humble abode." Erik pointed out his house among the many others. "I run my mercenary business out of there, and I live there. And yes, I am a mercenary, I kill for profit. Lot of unpleasant things I've done to people." Erik was really just stalling until he had a response for Kikyo's comment. "All right, assuming you did get warmed up and started fighting for real, he wouldn't have cared. He only goes after people that seem to have magic power."

"No offense, but Krious doesn't pay attention to people who have power over technology, he goes after people like me, who have things like my Elemental Claw. And in case you didn't notice, I'm trying to tell you why the self-proclaimed "God of Darkness" doesn't care about you." Erik was getting a headache from Kikyo's stubbornness.

Erik laughed. "Hell spat him back out, in fact Satan bows to this guy. If you've seen some of the things he's done, he makes me look like Mother Teresa. We might as well talk about these things inside, it makes no sense staying out here and being overheard."

Erik opened the door, leading Kikyo and Rin inside. "Once again, welcome to my humble abode. Make yourselves comfortable."

"Are you always like this? It is possible to take a break from using a cell phone, even though there's about 6 million drivers out there who don't realize it." Erik opened up the fridge and grabbed a Dr. Pepper. He loved the stuff.
