I'd say it was a bit more useful than the leek. I mean, seriously, what the hell are you supposed to do with a leek?
overall, though, I think the final nominees were not in the least up to par. as you stated before, most of them were already sort of made, and I saw a lot of better ideas in the GCD D:

X_of_Pentacles I hope Gemi doesn't eat the fish, but I do hope he gets as good flight. I've been forced to sleep through most of them. I don't like the winning item. Umbrella won, but the leek had more potential. Octupi should have won. 3nodding ...you mean miko??? confused

what do you guys think of the new MCs?
they're great and all, but I find it hard for them to match any of my other stuff.

I can breath through my nose again *angelic music plays*...I'm still fairly good at passing the monster cold though, so nobody ackowledge my existance if you pass me on the street. I'm not generous enough to get you sick as well. sweatdrop
I do appreatiate all the "get wells" though. I'm suffering without medicine on this one. Robotusion doesn't work as well as I thought it would, so I'll be avoiding it I think.
The November MC has potential, but I think it was suited for Zomg more then the average item. You could have a whole batch of giant purple mushrooms "respawn" and never actually encounter the Gnome General. Being silly enough to pull that mistake off many times, the potential is there.
In the other direction, the null fragments/chambers are purple, where as the item is green. Hopefully, the floating rock things will be useful. Some 'psychic pokemon users' or something of that nature.
