Kara sighed a bit, "I hope she remembered to dress warmly."

Out of all the children, she was the most independent, which Kara supposed worried her to an extent.

Miyu yawned in return as Haradhel went up and curled up against Kara's side. Her little wings dropped a bit as she looked like she was trying to gain some warmth.

Feng followed Adanedhel, "Don't worry we're right with you."

She understood there was something to be worried about in the dark, though she wasn't aware how things had become worrisome, not since she was use to sleeping out in the dark.

When morning came, life on the ranch and in the valley was back to normal, the way it had always been, and the worries of the night before seemed to have vanished.

Amdir, Adwin and Alyse had been gone the night before, but they seemed to have returned at some point in the night and all three of them were sleeping late. It was Adonijah and Adanedhel who took care of the chores, and then Adonijah vanished - presumably to go find Rose - while Adanedhel headed back inside to find out if there was anything more his mother needed before he went out for the day.

Aliya however had her work done, and was heading outside to find Feng and Ryu and Naida. She had promised them that she would take them to see Adonai and Shael and Rhea.

Donovan had headed out towards the barracks hoping that Celeborn had not take the night shift. He had seen everyone but Lin but assumed Lin was still asleep after doing ancenstors knew what in the late hours. He was also aware the party would be much bigger than usual, but he didn't know who else was going along.

He was going to have to ask Celeborn for that.

Feng stuck her tongue out at Aliya, "Someone woke up early this morning."

And it was much easier to braid under water where hair floats unfortunately for her so it was braided all the way down, fortunately her hair was only butt long. If it had been as long as Rose's... Feng shuddered at the thought.

There was a splash in the river and Ryu looked to see Naida on the surface holding a fish that actually close to her size.

"Naida put that back, the fish can't breath," Ryu replied trying not to twitch, "And no you can't keep it."

"Aww...." Naida pouted and let the fish go.

It swam away as fast as it could from the little terror that had been introduced to its waters.

Kara's eyes lit up at the mention of Rhea, she had heard about the Shael and Adonai's little girl from Elnara, granted that little girl was a baby back then which probably wasn't the case anymore.

"I would love to actually, Elnara told me a bit about Rhea, but she's of course has to be a young child by now," she glanced on Miyu knowing Miyu was going to be bored and really this little girl wouldn't have many lessons left unless it was practical work.

Which wouldn't be good if the student of a healer had to put what she knew to practical work, she would rather nothing bad happen to anyone.

"And Miyu might like to meet Rhea wouldn't you?"

Miyu blinked and nodded shyly, she would like that. She didn't really get to play with anyone her physical (and to an extent mental) age.

"I would..."

Celeborn nodded, his expression suddenly turning serious. "Ah ... yes," he murmured. "Yes. Quite a few changes. Yes, a much larger party ... you and me, of course, and Halmir, Arthael, their son Timaeus - he's been along a few times now, he's a great help, and the children love him ..."

He hesitated. On the one hand, he would feel much better if they would take Aragost ... on the other hand, the man would only terrify the children, and his protection was more needed here. He shook his head. "Perhaps Bronwe, Sir Leith, and Sir Bowdwin," he concluded. "I would feel better with more, but more cannot be spared."

He swallowed, and the black rose tattoo on the side of his neck jumped a bit. "Still ... we will do what we can, yes?" He smiled. "Come. We have a destination ... we have only to gather the hunters and we can be off. Elberon has already been told everything he needs to know ... and a lot he didn't really need to know ..."

He winced.

"So that's taken care of."



Aliya laughed. "Well, whenever we want fish for dinner, I know who to ask," she giggled. "I tell you what, Naida - you be good to your mother and don't braid her hair when she doesn't give you permission, and I'm sure Rose would be more than happy to let you play with her hair as much as you like. She's coming over in a little while."



Haradhel smiled warmly. "She's six years old already," she murmured. "She'll be seven soon ... she's a bright little thing, so much like both of her parents. I'm sure she would get along with Miyu quite well."

She wasn't quite the type to play dolls or tea or anything like that, but she did like flowers and pretty things, and she was bound to have quite a bit in common with Miyu.

Donovan was going to have to admit that would be the largest hunting party he had ever went on. Ever... even that one time there wasn't as many as there would be this time around.

Though he had to chuckle at Celeborn's comment about Elberon, "Nice to know some things never change."

He hadn't met Bronwe his mind thought absently, and hadn't seen Timaeus since he was a kid, and even then he didn't interact with Timaeus that much. He wondered if the kid turned out more like his father or his mother.

The first thought that came to Ryu's mind was how Adonijah was going to act around their mother. For he had seen her less than them, even though she had tried holding Adonijah as a child... with mix results.

"Breakfast would be great," Feng replied reaching over to pluck Naida out of the water, she had gotten a hold of some sort of waterbug, "Naida put that back."

Naida pouted and dropped the waterbug, it splashed and then skittered away. The little mer girl was like any normal child always trying to bring things home, which when you were a mer wasn't that hard to do, which was part of the problem.

Meanwhile Kara grinned and Miyu looked, very interested in the idea that Rhea could use magic already. Not that Miyu understood the limits of age and magic, not when she was a Second anyhow.

"That's wonderful, and... I have to admit I shouldn't be surprised at the curious part," Kara giggled, "I guess we'll just have to visit, Toshiro you'll come too right?"

The young angel boy nodded, he saw no reason not to, after all staying here would just mean he would be bored out of his skull, "Sure, I'll come."
